Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Xiao Wu, the New Instructor

Han Ruyan was stunned when she heard Wu Ling mention having a teacher. At that moment, Wu Ling shyly hid behind Xiao Wu.

"Hello, my name is Xiao Wu. I'm Wu Ling's teacher, and I'm here to apply for a teaching position at Tianshui Academy."

Seeing her apprentice's timid demeanor, Xiao Wu instinctively shielded him behind her.

"You're applying to be a teacher?" Han Ruyan sounded skeptical.

But Xiao Wu's response was firm and clear. "Yes, I am."

'Good heavens!'

Han Ruyan was momentarily speechless. However, having managed the academy for years, she had witnessed her fair share of surprises and quickly regained her composure.

"Then please demonstrate your martial spirit and spirit power level. As long as you've reached the Soul King rank or higher, you'll qualify to join our academy."

Han Ruyan was more than willing to accept Xiao Wu and Wu Ling as part of the faculty. After all, Tianshui Academy was always in need of capable instructors—especially since powerful female soul masters were rare.

"My name is Xiao Wu. My martial spirit is the Phantom Rabbit, and I am a Level 95 Super Douluo."

As nine dazzling soul rings materialized behind Xiao Wu, even Liu Erlong was left in shock.

Yellow, Purple, Black, Red—Red—Red!

'Three hundred-thousand-year spirit rings?!'

No—something was off.

The radiant crimson glow overwhelmed everyone present. At that moment, Liu Erlong wasn't even focused on the hundred-thousand-year soul ring. Instead, her gaze darted around anxiously, as if searching for someone.

Han Ruyan felt breathless. 'A Level 95 Super Douluo—one with three hundred-thousand-year spirit rings—wants to teach at our academy?!'

The girls behind Han Ruyan—Shui Bing'er and the others—were equally stunned.

'How could someone absorb a hundred-thousand-year spirit ring as their seventh ring?!'

Even the onlookers in the distance were overwhelmed by the sheer pressure radiating from the spirit ring.

Soon, Liu Erlong spotted a familiar figure.

"May I become an instructor at Tianshui Academy?" Xiao Wu asked, noticing Han Ruyan's hesitation.

Snapping out of her daze, Han Ruyan immediately replied, "Of course! As long as Your Excellency is willing, Tianshui Academy's doors will always be open to you."

Would a Super Douluo be accepted? Absolutely! No faction in their right mind would refuse such a powerhouse.

Just as Han Ruyan responded, Liu Erlong strode toward the familiar face.

The crowd buzzed with excitement as she approached, her crimson aura pushing back anyone within ten meters. She stopped in front of Fu Ye.

"You said you'd only be gone for a short while. Yet sixteen years passed."

Her voice was eerily calm, while Fu Ye wore an awkward expression. After all, he had promised a brief absence, leaving them with god given soul rings, spirit bones, and immortal herbs for cultivation.

For safety, he had even stationed nine Extreme Douluo-level puppets and a fully obedient guardian around them.

"Heh… I'm back now," Fu Ye murmured.

Liu Erlong threw herself into his embrace, clutching him tightly.

"Sniff."

Fu Ye inhaled her scent unconsciously. "Erlong… you smell even better than before."

Inside the Tianshui Academy

Xiao Wu and Wu Ling marveled at the crystal palace-like structures, hardly believing this was an academy.

Fu Ye walked between Liu Erlong and Xiao Wu, the system ensuring no Shura Field would erupt.

Han Ruyan led the way, proudly introducing the facilities.

"This is our teaching area. Thanks to Erlong's generous funding, our academy's infrastructure has greatly improved, including fully equipped simulated training grounds."

Liu Erlong glanced at Fu Ye guiltily, but he didn't react. To him, wealth was meaningless now—if he emptied the system's gold reserves, he could bury the entire Douluo Continent.

After a tour, Han Ruyan brought them back to the teaching area, where five girls stood waiting.

"These are Tianshui Academy's top talents—the Tianshui Team."

Pride shone in Han Ruyan's eyes as the girls introduced themselves.

"I am Shui Bing'er…"

'Skip.' Fu Ye already knew about them.

Han Ruyan smiled fondly. Bing'er and Yue'er were orphans she had adopted during her travels, while the others were elite students who had earned their spots through rigorous selection.

"Her Excellency Xiao Wu will be your new instructor. I expect you all to work hard."

Han Ruyan was overjoyed—with a Super Douluo joining, Tianshui Academy's future was brighter than ever.

At that moment, Shui Yue'er couldn't resist blurting out: "Aunt Han, is this handsome brother also here to teach?"

Han Ruyan stiffened in surprise, but Fu Ye merely chuckled.
