(Soon, the group reaches the bottom of the stairs to see a metal door.)
Tomo: "It's a door!"
(Tomo says, and about to reach it.)
(But Mew stops it.)
Mew: "Wait Tomo, the door might be hot."
(Right on cure, the door opens to reveal a battlefield that is suspended over the lava.)
(Mew and her friends are astonished to see it.)
Tomo: "Wow! A Battlefield in the Volcano!"
(Tomo says, amazed.)
Mew: "This must be Blaine's gym!"
(Mew says.)
Brock: "No firefighter could win in this place!"
(Brock says.)
Misty: "There's sure not enough water to put out a volcano,"
(Misty says.)
(Just then, the lights turn on and the man from before is revealed to be on the other side of the battlefield.)
???: "I guess you solve my riddle,"
(The man says.)
Pikachu: "Pika?" (That guy?)
(Pikachu says, confused.)
Eevee: "Eevee Eev?" (What's he doing here?)
(Eevee wonders.)
Mew: "What is he…"
(Mew about to speak, and realizes something,)
(Just then, the man says.)
???: "It's not a hat, but it keeps your head dry. If you wear it, it's only because you already lost it."
(Then Misty answers.)
Misty: "It's a wig! A wig isn't a hat, but it keeps your head dry in the rain. And the only reason you wear a wig is if you already lost your hair.
???: "And Misty's done it again!"
(The man says.)
Mew: "Good job, Misty, and I also figured something else out,"
(Mew says.)
???: "I believe you have figured out another answer,"
(The man says.)
(Mew turns to the man.)
Mew: "Yeah. It actually took me a while to figure it out, but now I understand… You're Blaine, the Cinnabar Gym Leader, aren't you?"
???: "You are correct, Mew,"
(The man says.)
(Then he removes the wig, mustache, and sunglasses.)
Blaine: "I am Blaine the Gym Master."
(Misty, Brock, Tomo, and the Pokemon become surprised.)
Blaine: "I wear a wig because I'm Blaine the Gym Master,"
(The man says.)
(The group kind of understands, but kind of doesn't.)
(Then Blaine asks.)
Blaine: "Now then, which one wants to battle me three on three?"
(Mew steps forward.)
Mew: "I will!"
Brock: "Careful, he must raise some awesome fire Pokemon in this volcano,"
(Brock.)
Misty: "Use your water Pokemon, Mew,"
(Misty says.)
Mew: "Don't worry, I know which Pokemon to use,"
(Mew says.)
(Blaine then calls out.)
Blaine: "Ready to begin?"
Mew: "Ready when you are!"
(Mew says.)
Blaine: "Fine! I've already selected my first Pokemon! Ninetales, go!"
(Blaine says, and throws his first Pokeball to reveal Ninetales.)
(Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)
Dexter: "Ninetales, the Fox Pokemon, and the evolved form of Vulpix. A Fire Type. Some legends claim that each of its nine tails has its own unique type of special mystic power."
Mew: "Alright then, I better be careful, even if Water is strong against fire, I better keep on my toes,"
(Mew says.)
(She then throws her Pokeball.)
Mew: "Poliwhirl, I choose you!"
Blaine: "A water type, how predictable,"
(Blaine says.)
(Then calls out.)
Blaine: "Go, Ninetales, Fire Spin, now!"
Brock: "Fire Spin is Ninetales' most powerful attack!"
(Brock says.)
(Ninetales then launches the attack.)
(Mew calls out.)
Mew: "Poliwhirl, use Hydro Pump!"
(Poliwhirl then performs the attack and both attacks collide with each other.)
(The water quickly turns to steam, but the water of the Hydro Pump continues to flow.)
(Soon the Hydro Pump is able to counter Ninetales Fire Spin attack.)
(Then the Hydro Pump strikes at Ninetales with full force and Ninetales is knocked out.)
Misty: "Alright, Mew got it,"
(Misty says.)
(Blaine then calls back Ninetales.)
Blaine: "Return Ninetales."
(Then turns to Mew.)
Blaine: "That's one tough Poliwhirl you got."
Mew: "Thanks,"
(Mew says.)
Poliwhirl: "Poliwhirl!" (Alright!)
(Poliwhirl happily says.)
(Mew then calls back Poliwhirl.)
Mew: "Return Poliwhirl."
(Then it goes back to his Pokeball.)
(Then Mew calls out.)
Mew: "Gyarados, Go!"
(Gyarados then comes out of his Pokeball.)
Blaine: "So you've chosen a Gyarados,"
(Blaine says.)
(Then calls out.)
Blaine: "Rhydon, go!"
(With that, Rhydon comes out of the Pokeball.)
(It's a large, gray, bipedal Pokémon with features similar to both dinosaurs and rhinoceroses.)
(It has narrow, red eyes and two fangs in its upper jaw, a snout is a cream-colored horn, which is smaller on a female than a male.)
(There are several other spikes and projections on its head.)
(on top is a spike that curves forward, two triangular points resembling ears on the sides, a wide.)
(wavy crest under each ear, and spiky ridges on each cheek.)
(It has a cream-colored abdomen divided into strips by thin divots.)
(A rocky plate on its chest slightly overlaps its abdomen.)
(There is a row of spikes down its back and they have a long tail with thin, black stripes.)
Mew: "Rhydon huh,"
(Mew says.)
(She takes out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)
Dexter: "Rhydon, the Drill Pokemon and the evolved form of Rhyhorn. A Ground and Rock Type. Its brain developed when it began walking on its hind legs. Its armor-like hide even repels molten lava.
(Blaine calls out.)
Blaine: "Rhydon, Fury attack!"
(Rhydon begins to charge for the attack.)
(Mew calls out.)
Mew: "Gyarados, use Protect!"
(Gyarados then performs the attack, and is able to escape the Furry Attack.)
Blaine: "Hey, pretty impressive!"
(Blaine says, impressed.)
(Then calls out.)
Blaine: "Rhydon, use Hammer Arm!"
(With that, Rhydon begins to perform Hammer Arm and heads to strike at Gyarados.)
(Mew calls out.)
Mew: "Gyarados, use Aqua Tails!"
(Gyarados then is able to perform Aqua Tail just as Rhydon performs its attack.)
(The two attacks collide with one another and the both struggle to keep it up.)
(Finally, Gyarados is able to counter Hammer Arm and sends it back.)
Mew: "Now Gyarados, Whirlpool!"
(Mew calls out.)
(Gyarados then performs Whirlpool and strikes at Rhydon with full forms.)
(Soon, Rhydon lands on the ground and has been defeated.)
(Blaine then calls back Rhydon.)
Blaine: "Rhydon, return!"
(Then calls it back.)
Blaine: "I'll have to choose another Pokemon."
Mew: "Okay, Gyarados, return,"
(Mew says, and calls back her Pokeball.)
(Then brings out her other Pokeball.)
Mew: "Now to make this interesting. Time to fight fire with fire. Go Charizard!"
(Mew then calls out Charizard, and Charizard then lets out a roar.)
Mew: "Okay Charizard, ready to battle?"
(Mew asks.)
(Charizard nods his head in reply.)
(Just then, Blaine says.)
Blaine: "This Pokemon is too hot to handle! And it has a power that should interest you, because it turns all its opponents into ash!"
Tomo: "Is it a little too hot to be solving riddles?"
(Tomo asks.)
(Blaine calls out.)
Blaine: "I choose, Magmar!"
(Just then, the lava begins to rise, shocking everyone.)
Mew: "Magmar?"
(Mew says, surprised.)
(The lava soon falls back to reveal the Magmar that is revealed.)
Mew: "Wow! That Magmar is pretty big,"
(Mew says.)
(She brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)
Dexter: "Magmar, the Spitfire Pokemon. A Fire Type. Its body is like a furnace, making Magmar a living inferno. It has been discovered only near active volcanoes."
(Mew looks up to notice Charizard has the fire in his eyes.)
(Magmar also has the same fire in its eyes as well.)
Tomo: "What's up with Charizard?"
(Tomo asks.)
Brock: "I think Charizard can tell Magmar is strong. I say Charizard is more than eager to battle,"
(Brock says.)
Misty: "Yeah. Look at the fire in his eyes,"
(Misty says.)
(Charizard and Magmar look at each other and show the determined fire in their eyes.)
(One thing for sure, this is going to be one fired up Pokemon Match.)
(Will Mew be able to earn her seventh gym badge?)
