(After Mew winning a Plain Badge from Whitney, Mew's Primeape has evolved into Annihilape and Molly catches Yamper and Pawmo, the group enjoying a quiet breakfast at the Pokemon Center.)
(Suddenly, a stranger wearing a pink shirt walks up to them in excitement.)
???: "Oh my goodness, is it you?!"
(And leans to Mew.)
???: "Is it really you?!"
Mew: "I think it's me?"
(Mew says, confused.)
(The pink-shirted man clutches Mew's hands into his own as he leans to Mew's face.)
???: "You just have to be on our show!"
Mew: "Huh?"
(Mew says, confused.)
???: "All the trainers who challenge Whitney and win a Plain Badge come on to our radio show for an interview!"
(The man says.)
Mew: "I..."
(Mew says, dumbfounded.)
(Misty then asks.)
Misty: "Are you the host?"
???: "Oh, good heavens, no."
(The man says.)
???: "Although I've been told I have a certain personal flair, I'm much too shy to show it in public, but thank you."
Tomo: "Then, who are you?"
(Tomo asks.)
Producer: "Excellent question! I am the producer of Poké Talk Radio."
(The man says.)
(Then Brock speaks up.)
Brock: "I know that show! That's the one with the girl who interviews all the Pokemon trainers."
(The producer happily claps his hands.)
producer: "Yay! Right you are! And a little bird named Nurse Joy just told me your friend won a Plain Badge. So then please come on the show?"
(Mew reels back in shock.)
(Even Pikachu and Eevee are shocked.)
(Elsewhere in Goldenrod City, Team Rocket is wandering around with empty stomachs.)
Meowth: "Boy, am I hungry."
(Meowth says.)
(Then Jessie says.)
Jessie: "If we hadn't run out, we could've gone back to the Galleria and eat more free samples"
(James then spots something ahead and stops.)
James: "Say! That looks like a department store."
Meowth: "I bet they got a food department!"
(Meowth says.)
(Jessie happily says.)
Jessie: "If they do..."
James: "Then they're sure to have free samples!"
(James says in excitement.)
(And Meowth says.)
Meowth: "What are we waiting for?!"
(Team Rocket soon rushes ahead to the building they think is a department store.)
(They soon reach the entrance, but they've halted by the guards.)
(The guard says.)
The guard: "I'm sorry, the manager doesn't allow visitors without an appointment."
James: "Appointment?"
(James questions.)
(Then Jessie asks.)
Jessie: "We need an appointment to go shopping?"
The guard: "Shopping?"
(The guard replies.)
The guard: "This isn't a store, miss, it's a radio station. You can see what's being broadcast up on the monitor there."
(Team Rocket looks up at the monitor to see what's going on.)
Mary: "This is DJ Mary, and I'll be back with some very special guests right after the Pokemon Morning Mega-mix!"
(The woman, DJ Mary says.)
(Mary has crimson hair, brown eyes, and wears a green shirt with glasses.)
Jessie: "That's interesting."
(Jessie says.)
James: "People used to say my face was perfect for radio."
(James says.)
(Then Jessie says to the boys.)
Jessie: "Come on, Team. We have an appointment to keep."
(Soon, Team Rocket returns to the radio station wearing some outlandish clothes.)
(Jessie and James enter as they say.)
Jessie and James: "We're here to see Mary!
The guard: "First elevator on your left."
(The guard says.)
(Once inside, Meowth sticks his head out of the bag James is carrying.)
Meowth: "HA! Dat guard must think you're celebrities."
Jessie: "All you need to do to be a celebrity is act like you already are one, Meowth. And sooner or later the public will agree."
(Jessie says.)
James: "How true."
(James replies.)
Jessie: "Now let's begin Operation: Radio Raid."
(Jessie says.)
(Team Rocket soon reaches a storage room and sift through the reels and other equipment, hoping to find something valuable.)
Jessie: "I'm surprised they think this place is worth guarding."
(Jessie says.)
James: "None of this has any REAL value."
(James says.)
Meowth: "Ain't dese guys ever hoid of digital?"
(Meowth questions.)
(Soon, someone opens the door and steps inside to find Jessie, James, and Meowth.)
(Before they can reach, the man who enters the room begins to take them somewhere.)
(The man continues to drag them as he says.)
The man: "I've been looking all over for you guys. Come on, hurry up! Let's move it!"
Jessie: "Exactly where are you taking us?"
(Jessie asks.)
(The man says.)
The man: "To the interview studio. In two minutes, you're supposed to go on the air."
James and Jessie: "On the air?"
(James and Jessie reply in shock.)
(James panics.)
James: "We can't go on!"
(The employee stops and stares at them suspiciously.)
employee: "Yeah, aren't you supposed to have a dummy?"
Jessie: "A dummy?"
(Jessie says, confused.)
employee: "All I know is the Pokemon Ventriloquist act we booked is supposed to have a dummy."
(the employee says.)
James: "You think, that we're..."
(James says, but is interrupted when Jessie slams her boot on his foot.)
Jessie: "Would you give us a moment, please?"
(Jessie replies.)
(She then pulls James aside and whispers.)
Jessie: "He thinks that we're performers."
(James whispers.)
James: "But we have no talent!"
Meowth: "Dat don't stop nobody in showbiz!"
(Meowth says.)
(Jessie then grabs Meowth and presents him to the employee.)
Jessie: "See? This is our dummy right here!"
Meowth: "Looks pretty smart tah me."
(Meowth says.)
James: Isn't he naughty?"
(James replies.)
(And Jessie says.)
Jessie: "Yes."
(James turns the guard the other way as he grins.)
James: "Okay, let's go! It's almost showtime!"
(Jessie turns to Meowth.)
Jessie: "Acting like a dummy shouldn't be hard for you."
(Meowth sighs in reply.)
(Soon, the group enters the interview room.)
(The employee says.)
employee: "I finally found the ventriloquists, chief."
(Jessie and James say in a singing tone.)
Jessie and James: "Howdy!"
(The producer happily says.)
The producer: "Oh, they're finally here! Please show them into our studio and we're start the show."
employee: "With pleasure."
(The employee says.)
(Soon, the employee pushes the three into the room.)
the employee: "They're here."
Mary: "I'm sorry you didn't get here any sooner so we could chat before the show, but we're going on live right after this song ends."
(Mary says.)
(Soon, right on the cue of the techies, the song ends, and DJ Mary is going live.)
(Mary happily says.)
Mary: "Rise and shine, Goldenrod City! I'm DJ Mary here on Poke-radio, with the Dugtrio Trio!"
(Jessie happily says in a singing tone.)
Jessie: "Hello, hello, hello!"
James: "We're happy to be here."
(James adds with a smile.)
Meowth: "Or anywhere!"
(Meowth says.)
(DJ Mary laughs.)
Mary: "HA! I wish you listeners could see how amazingly lifelike this dummy Meowth is!"
Meowth: "Hey you work in radio and I'm da dummy!"
(Meowth says, feeling offended.)
(But Jessie scolds him.)
Jessie: "Shut your mouth, Meowth!"
Meowth: "SHE JUST CALLED ME A DUMMY!"
(Meowth says in anger.)
(And James says.)
James: "Can't you get it through the wooden head of yours that you are a dummy!"
Meowth: "No dummy... Dummy."
(Meowth says.)
Mary: "Wow, I've had a lot of performers on this show, but the Dugtrio Trio are the most amazing ever!"
(DJ Mary says.)
(Meowth chuckles.)
Meowth: "Thanks kid!"
Mary: "Your friend looks and sounds very real. How long did it take you to develop Meowth's character?"
(Mary says.)
James: "Fortunately Meowth's always been a character."
(James says and nods.)
Meowth: "I guess dat ain't no big surprise."
(Meowth says.)
(James and Jessie reply confused.)
James and Jessie: "Huh?"
Meowth: "Dere ain't much character in dis trio, and I guess I got it all!"
(Meowth says.)
Jessie: "Don't be funny."
(Jessie says.)
(And James says.)
James: "I wish we weren't on the radio right now because I'd really like to give you something."
Meowth: "Don't be bashful! Go ahead and let me have it!"
(Meowth says.)
Jessie and James: "Ooooo-kay!"
(Jessie and James say.)
(Then both of them slam Meowth's head into the table.)
Jessie and James: "There."
(Jessie and James replies.)
(Then Meowth lifts his bruised head from the table and grins.)
Meowth: "Dey got me."
