producer: "Now, you all know your roles, so just relax and have fun."
(The producer says.)
Misty: "Right."
(Misty replies.)
(Then Brock says.)
Brock: "You got it."
Mew: "Wow. I'm starting to get nervous."
(Mew says.)
Jessie: "Right now there's only one thing you have to be scared about. You oughta be scared about letting down the audience by not giving the performance of your life!"
(Jessie says, she sighs and says.)
Jessie: "You must remember, the audience expects perfection, and luckily that's what I'll give them."
Brock: "Wow. She's really got a humongous talent."
(Brock says.)
Misty: "And ego."
(Misty adds.)
(Soon one of the production assistants says.)
production assistant: "Alright! We're just about ready to go on!"
producer: "Okay, everybody, stand by!"
(The producer calls out.)
second assistant: "We're ten seconds away from air, folks!"
(The second assistant says.)
(Jessie quietly says.)
Jessie: "They don't know it, but we're about to steal the show, the Eevee and the Pikachu."
(The second assistant counts down.)
second assistant: "In five... four... three... two..."
(And with that, the show begins.)
(DJ Mary begins narrating the story.)
Mary: "The Pokemon Drama Hour is on the air. Today we present the continuing saga of brave and kind Princess Goldenrod. Missing her beloved family after a long and difficult Pokemon journey, Princess Goldenrod and her companions are at last returning to Goldenrod Castle."
(As princess Goldenrod, Mew says.)
Mew: "Though we have seen many strange and wondrous lands on our journey, the place I now wish to see most of all is home."
(Then Misty says.)
Misty: "I too long for the place of my birth.
Brock: "Soon we shall delight our kinsmen with tales of triumph over the agents of the thieving Gyarados Guild."
(Brock says.)
Mary: "Even the Princess's Pikachu and Eevee were delighted to be returning home."
(Mary says.)
Pikachu: "PI-KACHU!"
(Pikachu says.)
Eevee: "EEVEE!"
(Eevee says.)
(Mary continues.)
Mary: "Suddenly, the great Charizard upon which they rode let out a mighty roar."
(James roars.)
James: "Arrrrrr!"
(Then the production assistant presses a button and music is played.)
(Soon, the story appears.)
(In Story...)
(DJ Mary continues narrating.)
Mary: "The Charizard had sensed the danger that lay before them, a powerful sandstorm lashes them and the Charizard is forced to land. They have arrived at Goldenrod City, but they see only the castle."
(And soon, it shows Mew dressed in leather boots, tight white tights, a blue jerkin, and a feather cap.)
(Pikachu and Eevee are wearing a feather cap.)
Mew: "Egads!"
(Mew says.)
(Then Pikachu says.)
Pikachu: "Pika!" (Gadzooks!)
Eevee: "Eevee!" (Oh my!)
(Eevee replies.)
(Misty asks.)
Misty: "What cruel fate hath befallen our fair city?"
(Misty steps down beside Mew, wearing a thigh high red boot, miniskirt, and an oversized shoulder pad.)
(Brock also steps down to reveal him wearing a blue robe with black boots.)
Brock: "Sand as from an hourglass has poured forth and time may be run out!"
(Brock says.)
(Mew calls out.)
Mew: "MOTHER! FATHER!"
(and runs over to the castle.)
Mary: "The Princess races toward the castle, but as the portals open, her fears vanish like sand in the wind."
(Mary narrates.)
(The portal opens to reveal Jessie and James are dressed as the king and queen.)
(Mew happily says.)
Mew: "Mother, father! How joyful it is to see thee safe and sound!"
James: "Ahhh. Our hearts soar like the eagles at the sight of your return."
(James says.)
(Then Brock says.)
Brock: "Though enrobed in familiar finery, thine countenances are seeming strange."
Jessie: "Alas our woes are legion. And have left us much altered!"
(Jessie says, dramatically.)
(Misty says to Brock.)
Misty: "There is something rotten in Goldenrod."
(Pichu and Togpei agree.)
(James laughs.)
James: "HA HA HA HA HAAAH! Come and through these welcoming portals pass..."
Jessie: "But not before a Pokemon Battle anon!"
(Jessie says.)
(Mew and the others are confused.)
Everyone: "HUH!?"
(The royal Meowth proceeds to Scratch Mew, but Eevee intervenes and uses her tail to slam Meowth into the ground.)
(In Reality...)
(Mew frowns and says.)
Mew: "That's not in the script."
Jessie: "So I improvised a little, I've seen better writing on cereal boxes."
(Jessie says.)
(And Mary says.)
Mary: "But we have to stick to the story."
Jessie: "Sorry sweetie, but I always thought that professional broadcasters could deal with any situation."
(Jessie says.)
(Mary grunt angrily.)
Mary: "Hmmm!"
(Mary continues.)
Mary: "The Princess was shocked, but she knew the Queen feared she was an imposter, and had ordered her Meowth to scratch her face to make sure he wasn't wearing a mask..."
(In Story...)
(Jessie runs to Mew with tears in her eyes.)
Jessie: "These arms that held you first now long to hold you fast and bindest thou to me forever more! Oh brightest daughter, set not your heart against mine own."
James: "Leave all enmity aside and enter."
(James says.)
(Mary continues.)
Mary: "As the Princess and her companions enter the castle, she begins to question her parents."
Mew: "Mother, why is my beloved city of Goldenrod covered in sand?"
(Mew asks.)
(Brock adds to the question.)
Brock: "And why did you not send for us?"
Jessie: "We didst not wish to put our heir in harm's way."
(Jessie says.)
(Then Misty asks.)
Misty: "Pray tell, what hath caused this plague?"
James: "Below Castle Goldenrod, f'r ages untold, lay the ancient Master Stone."
(James says.)
Jessie: "Behold, sweet Princess, this very stone before thee."
(Jessie says.)
(Soon, the lid of the pot lights up.)
(The master stone shines with an unearthly green light that spreads across the room.)
(Mew calls out.)
Mew: "But why hast thou done this!?"
Brock: "The Master Stone hath been disturbed, for this hath Goldenrod been interred!"
(Brock says.)
(Mary narrates.)
Mary: "As the Princess and her friends are entranced by the Master Stone, the Queen presses a secret panel and captures them in her trap."
(which happens in the story.)
(Jessie laughs.)
Jessie: "daughter, thou art grounded!"
Mew: "IMPOSTERS! You are not my parents, you are villains, sent by the dastardly Gyarados Guild!"
(Mew shouts.)
James: "Verily, my..."
(James says.)
(In Reality...)
(But Jessie says.)
Jessie: "WRONG! With the Master Stone we can now announce to the world... which we will soon be conquering that we are the all powerful Team Socket!
(The producer panics.)
producer: "AH! What is that girl doing? That's not what's written in the script!"
Mary: "Soooo, the imposters were not in the Gyarados Guild after all, but were an entirely new evil force called... uh... called uh..."
(Mary says, trying to improvise.)
Jessie: "Team Socket."
(Jessie says.)
(Mary continues.)
Mary: "They were an entirely new evil force called Team Socket."
(In Story...)
(Mew demands.)
Mew: "What have you scurrilous knaves done with my parents!?"
Piakchu: "Pika-Pika!" (Tell us, you fiends!)
(Piakchu calls out.)
Eevee: "Eevee Eevee?!" (Tell us who you really are?!)
(Eevee demands.)
(Jessie laughs triumphantly.)
"Fare thee well, suckers!" Meowth says.
Then the three walk away,
Mew: "You filthy rogues!"
(Mew angrily says, and calls out.)
Mew: "CHARIZARD!"
Charizard: "Rrrrr-oooar!" (At once, my liege!)
(Charizard calls out, and bursts through a window and to the princess' aid.)
Mew: "Charizard!"
(Mew calls out, as she leaps from the hole and on to Charizard's back.)
Mew: "Use thy Flamethrower!"
(Charizard launches with great force, but the false royals duck in time.)
(Then Misty and Brock step forward.)
Misty: "Givest thou up?"
(Misty question.)
(Mew calls out.)
Mew: "Friends, what say you?"
Brock: "They are all well in hand!"
(Brock says.)
(Then Misty says.)
Misty: "Make haste, princess Goldenrod, and rescue your noble parents!"
Mew: "And so I shall!"
(Mew says.)
(Soon, the princess flies forward on Charizard.)
(In Reality...)
(Mary narrates.)
Mary: "The princess takes off, and after searching high and low, she finds the true King and Queen where Team Socket has hidden them."
Mew: "Mother, Father, I've come to free you from this dungeon."
(Mew says.)
Mary: "With their shackles broken, the King and Queen urge the Princess to stop Team Socket from escaping. 'The Master Stone must be returned,' says the Queen, 'or our fair kingdom shall not be restored... NOW GOOOOOOO!'"
(Mary narrates.)
Mew: "Aye!"
(Mew says.)
(In Story...)
(Outside of the castle, the princess' companions gaze at a hole just outside of the entrance.)
Mary: "But it seems the Princess may already be too late."
(Mary says.)
(Mew rushes to the others and asks.)
Mew: "Where art they?"
Brock: "Those devils were too fleet of foot."
(Brock says.)
(And Misty says.)
Misty: "They swiftly moved and have gone below."
Mew: "This hollow leads to the haunts of the underworld, I trust."
(Mew says.)
(Then Jessie says.)
Jessie: "Surprise!"
(In Reality...)
Everyone: "Huh?"
(Mew, Mary, and the others say, confused.)
Jessie: "Despite what the puny princess believes, the hole is actually an opening to a time warp that sends all who enter it three thousand years into the future!"
(Jessie says, and laughs wickedly
(Mary sighs and looks at the producer, motioning to keep going.)
(She sighs and continues.)
Mary: "So, not realizing that the hole will lead him into a time warp into the future, the princess and her companions prepare to jump..."
(In Story...)
Mew: "Into the breach, Pikachu! Eevee!"
(Mew says.)
(Then Misty says.)
Misty: "We art behind thee!"
(The three leap into the time warp, the light fades and the hole disappears.)
(Mary continues.)
Mary: "Into the blinding light they fly, and the earth closes over them. Now, what wonders await our heroes, at the end of a three thousand year journey? Anybody? Have any ideas? Well, no words could describe the wondrous future world our heroes encounter as they reach their destination... for it is a world far beyond even our wildest imaginings."
