Chapter 69 - Bite

Did she just bite me? I was in shock, my mind trying to process what had happened.

Sadly, her teeth couldn't break my skin. She pulled away, the hunger in her eyes far from withering away. Instead, it captured them so hard that I felt like a feast before her.

I have no reason to object because I looked at her the same way, a smile curling on my lips like an allure to all the dark thoughts that conjured in that little head of hers.

"Did you miss me this much, little wife?" I asked huskily. "You should've said so, but I much prefer this way."

My nose brushed against hers, our lips apart as we both stared at each other's lips like the wine to ecstasy we were willing to drunk ourselves in.

"Your olive green eyes are finally on mine again. My dream came true," I spoke softly, threading my fingers through her curls. "May I never wake from this."
