Chapter 205 - Lunch

I slept through the night, and when I woke up, it was already afternoon. Drevon didn't attend court; he was busy organizing the table filled with more meals than I could count, enough for a feast.

When he found me staring, he gave me a nervous look. "Morning, wife."

"Husband," I said in a stiff tone.

Our last night's argument didn't conclude, mostly because I chose not to speak anymore.

"I shouldn't have come at you strongly like that. Just heard from Celia that you would be having mood swings."

"What else did she tell you?" I asked, pulling the covers off me, and swung my legs off the bed.

"Just the basics so that I can prepare for them properly."

I sighed, pushing to stand. "It's not your fault. I was the one who overreacted."

"I should apologise if I hurt you with my words in any way. But it was the truth, Eloise, nothing more." He palmed my stomach when I got close. "You both are the world to me."

"But I'm the priority."
