"What the heck " Jihoon threw the book across the hospital bed. His eyes looked a little pissed as he looked at the book as if it had personally offended him.
*The Tale of Two Kingdoms* is a classic romance BL popular among young girls these days and has climbed to the city's best seller as soon as the book version of the web novel was released.
Jihoon had listened to her sister's yap about the web novel too many times. As his eyes were a little too weak to stare at the screen for too long, he felt it was finally his chance to understand what the hype was all about, and that's how he got to experience the biggest brain rot ever.
To consider the book average should be concerning enough but the way it is being portrayed as some BL equivalent of Romeo and Juliet should be absolutely criminal because what the fuck ? How does any of that make any sense?
To give you a summary, The novel takes the reader along the journey of an illegitimate prince of Kingdom Y (who is obviously unaware of his royal leniege) born to a palace maid in the remote village of Kingdom X and somehow crosses paths with the prince of that Kingdom and falls in love with him and there is a ton of cheezy romance and a lot of fluff but then the war break between Kingdom X and Y over something Jihoon don't really remember because it is just not that important and that is where the main character gets to know of his father and decides to meet him but obviously what is a main character without a dumb ass sad backstory so as predictive as it can get his mother dies, his paternal family mis treats him and there he meets an evil general, God of death in the battlefield but super sweet and caring toward the male lead only, even though he has a fiance whose name is also 'Jihoon' and the only name that he can care to remember because it's his own. So yeah the fiance also harassed and bullied the prince and ended up mysteriously dead one day, now the prince ran away back to Kingdom Y but then his lover and now emperor decided to capture him there are too gross sexual details and yeah long story short even when the prince breaks his leg, brutally r*p* him he decides to forgive him because he understand that it is just emperor's love and then they live happily ever after.
This summary spared other dumb story plots that serve no purpose other than to make the purity, naivety (stupidity) of the main character stand out or the obsessive, possessive jealousy of the romantic interests.
Jihoon closed his eyes, mind still wandering about how a book could be so capable of raising his blood pressure. His eyes started to feel unusually heavy as the *beep* *beep* of medical instruments attached to him faded into the background.

Jihoon felt nauseous as he opened his eyes, his leg felt weak and the familiar beeping of medical attachments couldn't be heard. He opened his eyes slowly to come face to face with tall ceiling and a chandelier so bright it almost blinded him.
"What's going on ?" He sat up on the bed looking like a chicken trying to understand where he actually is, the room looked grander than any VIP hospital room he had seen.
He got startled as the door opened slowly and a maid dressed in black floor length gown with white apron tied neatly behind her back walked in with her eyes down carrying a big wooden bucket filled with water and a white cloth on the side.
"Sir should I assist you to freshen up?" Now at a close proximity Jihoon can look closely at the maid and realized she is not much older barely 14 or 15 years old, although he didn't realise what was going on he still feel a little weird making a young girl work so he decides to politely decline, "No, that won't be required thank you."
*thump* the girl fell to her knees bowing and begging on her knees "I am sorry!! I am so sorry, please don't dismiss me."
Jihoon got startled, his words getting stuck in his throat as he saw the girl begging for a crime she didn't comit.
"Stand up! I am not angry just get out" he realised being polite may send the girl into another frenzy and decided to use an angry tone and it worked the girl got up leaving the bucket behind and running out of the room with quick steps.
He walked to the back and let out a loud sigh, falling back on the bed.
"JIHOON !! I am coming in." A woman dressed in a red hanbok that looked straight out of K-drama walked in, her steps firm and eyes focused as he looked at him.
" Why are you still lazing around? Today, you have to leave for General Taeyoung's house. Get up and get dressed."
"WHY ??" he said before even thinking regretting it as soon as the words came out of his mouth.
The woman who had turned to leave the room turned back as if startled by a sudden, unexpected outburst and raised her eyebrows, "What do you mean why? You were the one who begged to get a marriage arrangement with the general you need to learn about managing the household before your marriage. What? Are you regretting already?"
In this situation, keeping his mouth shut seemed like the best possible option, and so that's what he did. He sat quietly as the situation finally started to make sense to him. He has transmigrated, and that too as the character that mysteriously died in the beginning chapters of the story.
The realisation left him speechless. What is he supposed to do now?
