Chapter 1 - Resupply

Hazy skies lit the ever wide vastness of the wilds. The morning sun had just begun to rise from the east. While children were still fast asleep in their homes, many labourers, outlaws and independents were up preparing themselves for the day ahead.

"Hey, have you loaded the shells yet?" asked Ehma as she dropped a large barrel of water onto the floor of the tank.

"The Ferret holds up to 52 rounds right? I've almost got them all." Replied Hugo.

He slowly lumbers to the Ferret and steps into the front cabin. As he did, the entire vehicle lurched downwards from the weight of the fisherman hauling the two boxes of ammunition.

Ehma leans on the door of the front cabin, poking her head into the dark, rusty interior of the tank. Looking around, she flaunts about the Ferret and the work she's put into it.

"Yep. She's amazing isn't she? Too bad it's all high explosive though. If we run into a decently armoured fella, we're probably just gonna shake 'em in their cans."

She swings herself in and jumps into the gunner's seat and runs her hand across the breach of the gun.

"Forty millimetres is nothing to scoff at if you're on foot though. One shot and you'll be seeing yer grandma early."

As the sun's rays rise from above the building, the two look behind from inside the Ferret and down the quiet stone streets, scattered with small bits of sunshine and dirt. There they see the remainder of the crew returning from their town trip. The man in the dark, grey coat and hat is Johnathan Sawyer from Keilah Londrus. The two rough looking couples are Midra and Malcolm, the vehicle specialists. The three of them shortly arrive at the Ferret's parking spot. Midra and Malcolm unloaded their supplies at the rear cabin which mostly consisted of maintenance material and tools.

"Has Migs come back yet, Ehma?" John asks as He scans the surroundings for the shirtless Oz Town man."

"He still gotta get the parts we're meant to deliver to the Radio Tower. I'm sure he'll be back soon. I hope." Ehma answered, unsure if that boy got lost in the seaside town.

As the final supplies were loaded, a voice from down the streets hollered out to them.

"OI! OI! I'VE GOT THE PARTS." Shouted Hale Migs.

Relieved that they were able to find the parts in stock, the crew made their final adjustments and disembarked to the wastelands.
