"Personnel below! Identify yourselves immediately! Cease all hostile actions and submit to federal military control!"

A stern, mechanical voice echoed from the loudspeaker.

The cockpit of the mech opened, and several officers in federal uniforms, their auras ranging from Soul Emperor to Soul Sage levels, leaped out. Their expressions were grave and wary as they gripped soul-guided ray guns, quickly forming a defensive perimeter.

When they recognized Zhuo Shi, Cai Yue'er, Gu La, and the others standing near the wreckage, clad in Shrek Academy uniforms, their faces visibly changed.

" Red Dragon Douluo? Silver Moon Douluo?"

The leading Soul Sage officer clearly recognized the prominent figures from Shrek Academy. He hastily stowed his weapon and quickly saluted, though the suspicion in his eyes remained undiminished.

"What… happened here? We detected intense energy bursts and spatial disturbances, likely involving battles at the Title Douluo level!"

Zhuo Shi's face was dark with fury, his tone sharp as he pointed to the unrecognizable pile of flesh on the ground—barely discernible as human—and the massive frozen pit melted into the cliffside by the True Fire of the Phoenix.

"What happened? Hmph! In broad daylight, four Title Douluo and one Super Douluo-level evil soul master ambushed our Shrek Academy return team!"

"If not for Gu La possessing the protective trump card granted by the Heavenly Phoenix Douluo, and Liu Niandao swiftly killing that lurking assassin, both Master Cai and I would have perished here today! Is this what passes for federal air control? Is this the security near Mingdu?!"

His voice thundered like a storm, filled with unrestrained rage, causing the federal officers' ears to ring and their faces to pale.

Cai Yue'er's expression remained icy, her silver crescent moon martial soul still active, exuding a chilling aura of bloodlust.

Liu Niandao had already retracted all his throwing knives and his metal soul spirit, resuming his quiet, harmless demeanor, silently standing behind Gu La.

Bai Yuan and Mu Yi had also suppressed their auras, but the lingering killing intent from the earlier battle still sent shivers down the spines of the federal officers.

"E-Evil soul masters? A Super Douluo leading an ambush?"

The Soul Sage officer sucked in a breath, his scalp tingling. He immediately realized the severity of the situation far exceeded his imagination!

An ambush on Shrek's Elder Hall members and monstrous students—right above the core region of the federation—was nothing short of an earth-shattering event!

"Please… please calm your anger, Red Dragon Douluo! We will thoroughly investigate this matter! Seal off the scene immediately and report it to the Federal Military Department!"

He wiped away cold sweat while directing his subordinates to retrieve precise soul-guided detection instruments, attempting to gather residual energy traces and biological information from the scene.

As the federal officers scrambled to examine the site, several ghost-like figures appeared silently atop a distant, higher cliff.

They wore dark, form-fitting clothing that blended seamlessly with the environment, bearing an inconspicuous insignia on their chests—a droplet merging with the sea. This marked them as members of the Tang Sect!

These Tang Sect spies had obviously been drawn by the earth-shattering battle fluctuations earlier.

They did not approach but instead observed everything from afar using high-powered soul-guided binoculars and specialized energy fluctuation recorders.

Their gaze lingered particularly on the area scorched by the Heavenly Phoenix True Fire, the pile of flesh, and the group from Shrek Academy.

"Tsk, quite the spectacle… Four evil Title Douluo, annihilated completely, a Super Douluo injured and fleeing. What exactly was that flame attack?"

A young Tang Sect disciple stared at the energy readings on his instrument, murmuring in disbelief. "Shrek's little monsters are even more terrifying than the news made them out to be. That boy with the throwing knives… his presence is so cold…"

"Quiet. Focus on recording."

The leader, a middle-aged man with a low, gravelly voice and eagle-sharp eyes, spoke firmly. "The key is the residual energy signatures at the scene, especially that overwhelmingly yang and righteous flame… And the target that was sliced apart—the technique was too clean. Such ruthless blade intent… whose handiwork could it be?"

The spies fell silent, their recording devices flashing faintly as they meticulously documented every detail of the chaotic yet information-rich scene below.

Shrek Academy being attacked, and with such a high-profile ambush, was invaluable intelligence for the Tang Sect. Especially the resurgence of evil soul masters, escalating from minor skirmishes to openly assaulting Shrek teams, left the middle-aged man with a foreboding sense of unease.

Below, the federal officers struggled to gather information from the scene but found little of use.

The True Fire of the Phoenix was overwhelmingly domineering, incinerating nearly all residual energy and biological traces. Liu Niandao's blade array had turned the only potential survivor into unidentifiable minced flesh, leaving no viable information to extract.

As for the fleeing Super Douluo, his presence had long dissipated into the vast wilderness. Even if a group of Soul Sages piloting mechs were replaced by a Title Douluo, they wouldn't have been able to catch him.

"Reporting, sir!"

A Soul Emperor officer in charge of scanning approached, his face grim. "The residual energy at the scene has been severely disrupted by two extreme forces, making it impossible to trace the source. No viable target information can be extracted—the destruction was too thorough."

He gestured toward the pile of flesh, his lips twitching involuntarily.

"Worthless!"

The Soul Sage officer muttered under his breath, his face growing even darker. Steeling himself, he turned to Zhuo Shi and Cai Yue'er. "Elders, the scene… is too heavily damaged, and clues are scarce. Could you accompany us to the nearest military base to provide a detailed account of the ambush and the attackers' characteristics? We…"

"No need," Cai Yue'er cut in coldly. Her gaze swept over the distant cliffs, seemingly aware of the Tang Sect spies or perhaps merely glancing casually. "The identity of the attackers is something Shrek Academy will investigate ourselves."

She withdrew her gaze and fixed her piercing green eyes on the Soul Sage officer, speaking slowly and clearly. "Return and tell your military department this: Shrek Academy will exact vengeance for this."

Her voice was not loud but carried clearly to everyone present, imbued with an icy, omniscient warning:

"Today's debt is recorded by Shrek. Anyone who dares harm our people must be prepared to face our wrath! As for who orchestrated this…"

Her gaze seemed to pierce through the void, landing in the distant direction of a certain opulent, golden tower.

"Do you really think we don't know? The Spirit Pagoda's reach extends too far!"

Excluding the evil soul masters, her first suspicion naturally fell on the Spirit Pagoda. There was no evidence or reason—just instinct. After all, the conflict between Shrek Academy and the Spirit Pagoda had persisted for decades.

The moment the words "Spirit Pagoda" left her lips, the federal officers' faces turned ashen!

The Soul Sage officer's pupils contracted sharply, his lips trembling as he dared not utter a single word. Involving the continent's two most powerful factions was far beyond their level to handle. He could only bow deeply and remain silent.

Zhuo Shi snorted heavily, no longer sparing the federal officers a glance. With a wave of his hand, he declared, "Let's go! This place is no longer safe!" He summoned his battle armor, enveloping the students in his soul power.

Cai Yue'er followed suit. The Shrek group transformed into two streaks of light, breaking through the federal mechs' blockade and speeding toward Shrek City. They left behind a chaotic scene, a group of federal soldiers with complex expressions, and the silent Tang Sect spies on the cliffs, quietly recording everything.

The wind howled, dispersing the scent of blood but unable to dispel the palpable tension and the impending storm brewing in the air.

Shrek's vengeance, and the Spirit Pagoda's possible counteractions, loomed like dark clouds over the minds of every witness.
