God… will it bleed?
Thor felt a sudden chill of fear.
The next second, he saw dazzling thunder erupt—countless bolts of lightning burst in every direction!
The destructive aura of that divine power was something his own thunder could never compare to.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
From the sky, the view was apocalyptic.
The earth shook violently, then split open as countless silver lightning serpents tore through it!
In that moment, it felt as if the sky itself had inverted, and a massive lightning storm soared into the heavens.
In the forests and mountains, the resting Asgardian soldiers all shot to their feet, their faces pale as they stared at the divine power raging in the distance.
"Is that His Highness Thor?!"
"What terrifying lightning!"
"I didn't expect him to break through the All-Father's limits… he's gotten stronger!"
"I can feel my scalp tingling from here!"
"No! Look up—look at the sky!"
"The All-Father… Odin is back!"
Odin hadn't just returned.
Facing the massive thunder dragon twisting through the sky, golden light burst from Odin's single eye.
"Die."
All of Asgard trembled.
The Eternal Spear, Gungnir, was hurled!
Transformed into a golden streak of light, it pierced the thunder dragon instantly, shattering it.
The obliterated lightning exploded into countless fine arcs, scattering downwards like a rain of electric spears, penetrating deep into the earth without pause.
BOOM!
The fractured ground sank even further.
Like a giant boulder dropped into a lake, a monstrous shockwave of mud and stone erupted, rolling outward like a tidal wave.
The faces of the Divine Fire Legion and the Wolf Riders turned pale with dread.
Was the All-Father… trying to kill Thor?
Why?
But then, a cold, mocking laugh rang out, echoing over the entire realm of Asgard.
"Odin… are you planning to kill your own son too?"
"You're old. But still just as tyrannical."
"I don't think you deserve to rule the Nine Realms."
"So why don't you… abdicate?"
The voice turned icy.
In the next second, tens of thousands of soldiers witnessed a terrifying scene that would forever haunt their nightmares.
The trembling earth suddenly froze in place.
Then, countless pillars of red fire shot skyward. Molten magma surged up from deep underground, forming a vast lake of lava. At some point, the skies had turned blood-red.
But that wasn't the end.
The ground shook again—this time more violently.
From within the magma, brown flames burst forth, rising higher and higher until they completely engulfed the Asgardian Temple, standing tall in the heavens like a demonic mountain.
And atop the volcanic crater, a strange man stood.
Behind him, chaotic energy flickered and exploded constantly—like the aura of Mephisto himself.
The warriors of the Divine Fire Legion looked up at the figure… and felt their knees weaken.
The pressure… was overwhelming.
Russell stood calmly, brushing the dust from his sleeves, and glanced at the distant Odin with a sneer.
"Since you don't want it… I'll take it."
As his words fell—
In Thor's shocked eyes, the Eternal Spear—tightly gripped in Odin's hand just moments before—began to tremble wildly.
A low hum rang out from within the flames.
The spear, once gleaming with a cold dark-golden metallic sheen, suddenly turned red-hot.
Runes of Eternity lit up along its shaft.
And then… the Eternal Spear began to melt.
"You dare!"
Golden arcs of lightning burst from Odin's remaining eye, spreading over his body like living veins of power.
With an explosive crack, a shockwave erupted from his form, and in the blink of an eye, he vanished.
Almost instantly, he appeared directly before Russell at the volcanic crater—his fist already crashing down!
The space around the blow collapsed.
Thor, still bound in chains far below, felt as though the entire sky was falling down upon him.
There was nowhere to run.
No way to resist.
Even breathing became difficult.
In that instant, Thor understood.
Why Odin was the All-Father.
Why he was the King of the Gods.
This was power… far beyond anything Thor could match.
And yet…
The stranger facing that terrifying blow didn't hesitate.
Flames and lightning coiled around Russell's arms.
Without fear, he punched forward.
Their fists collided.
For a moment, time seemed to stop.
Then—light erupted like a newborn star.
A shockwave, visible even to the naked eye, exploded outward at an impossible speed.
The volcano itself erupted.
Thor was blasted backward.
His armor crackled furiously with lightning, but the surging shockwave was unstoppable. Cracks spiderwebbed across the armor, spreading, breaking, until the divine steel itself shattered.
In the mountains below, the Divine Fire Legion and Wolf Riders dropped to the ground without hesitation.
They felt countless burning fragments and shattered debris rain down on them.
But no one dared to dodge.
Their faces pale, they pressed themselves into the dirt, praying for survival.
At this moment, a deafening explosion echoed across Asgard, shaking the realm itself as if signaling the end of days.
BOOM!
Thor slammed into the mountainside, shattering countless boulders in his wake.
A few seconds later, he crawled out of the rubble, his body covered in wounds and blood.
Thankfully, he'd only been struck by the shockwave. He didn't dare imagine what would have happened if he had taken the full force of that attack head-on.
But that wasn't what mattered now.
He raised his head, eyes wide, staring up into the sky.
High above, two black silhouettes hovered silently—completely unscathed.
Thor was horrified.
But then… something else caught his eye.
His pupils contracted in shock.
The Eternal Spear… was gone.
In its place hovered a dark red Thorn Spear, its surface wrapped in green, twisted, arcane runes.
Its tip was shaped like a triangular pyramid—three blades converging into a razor-sharp point capable of piercing anything.
Around the spearhead, barbed thorns extended outward in all directions, their shapes irregular and chaotic, like demonic claws radiating a faint, sinister crimson glow.
Thor felt his scalp go numb.
From that weapon, he sensed the aura of death… and flame.
Even the battle-hardened soldiers of the Fire Legion, who had climbed shakily back to their feet, froze when they saw the Thorn Spear.
At that moment, every soul present felt the same thing—terror.
In the sky.
Odin's expression turned grim. His voice was cold.
"You're… Aesir."
Russell didn't look at him immediately. He was admiring the dark red spear in his hand, nodding in satisfaction.
This weapon—this artifact—had been reforged using the power of the Fire God, blended with the energy of death, and inscribed with 424 newly transformed runes.
It still retained its terrifying 100% hit rate and overwhelming penetration.
But that wasn't its true power anymore.
Now, infused with the essence of death itself, this spear could kill with a single strike.
It was no longer the Spear of Eternity.
It was the Spear of Deaththorn.
Russell clenched his fingers.
The dark red spear dissolved into crimson light, coiling around the base of his index finger like a sinister ring tattoo, dimming into a faint glow.
Finally, Russell looked up.
He smiled at Odin.
"Tsk tsk. So… the mighty All-Father isn't as irritable as Tony Stark said. Look at you—so calm now."
"When I return to Midgard, I'll be sure to tell Tony to stop thinking you're just a grumpy old man stuck in your ways. That's not good for your reputation."
Odin's face darkened.
He could feel it clearly now—the authority he'd once imprinted on Mjolnir had been completely broken.
He had rushed back to Asgard, furious, when he sensed someone trying to remove Thor's restraints.
He had wanted to kill that intruder on the spot.
But now…
There was no point in fighting.
Not because the enemy was too strong.
Not because the enemy could wield both flame and lightning.
But because of something far worse—the power of death.
An Aesir who had awakened the power of death…
On the land of the Gods, that power would only grow stronger, and worse still, it granted true immortality.
Unless Odin abandoned Asgard entirely and fought the man to the death, there was no winning this battle.
Yet… Odin's gaze drifted unwillingly toward the crimson rune circling the intruder's finger.
And his heart sank.
If he fought now… he would probably lose his life for nothing.
