Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 – Adventurer’s Guild

Ahhh... I let out a tired sigh after just finishing another set of pushups.

It has been a week after my encounter with Orion Brax.

The Brax's family are a powerful noble family in the kingdon of Estia. They control majority of the merchants group and holds reign over a large plot of Estia.

Orion was the heir of the Brax family and having awakened "The Sovereign system " , A system that allows him grow stronger by combining skill's endlessly.

He awakened the system less than a year and he has already ranked up to rank C. So I can understand his arrogance.

What no one knows about Orion is that he is also a reincarnator from a different Earth. But he has always done a better job to keep it hidden, no one except himself knows this.

I decided to test my gained strength and venture into a low-level dungeon.

I made my way to the adventurer guild branch in Estia. The adventurer guild are in charge and control of dungeons in Eldora. They grant access to explore the dungeons and without their permission, no one can raid the dungeons.

I trudged the lonely path that leads to the adventurer guild while enjoying the scenic views that I have come to enjoy .

I listened to merchants trying to sell their goods.

"Delicious wild berries here" a female merchant chanted.

Another…..

"Low tier beast cores available "

I listened and continued on my way until I hear the clanging of metals and steel in the far distance. The sound draws me and I couldn't help but detour from my set path.

Around the corner, a two storey building with a rustic design stood. The heat emitting from this building even from my distance is hard to deny….. "This is a blacksmith " I uttered absentmindedly.

I stared at the array of weapons displayed in the display cases with desire but all I can do now is look as I don't have enough money to purchase even the low tier weapon.

After having my fill, I continued my journey.

After roughly three hours, I could make out the silhouette of the Adventurer guild building in the distance.

The building, a three floor building, that is a testament of the great work of architectural experts and mages. It has a certain glow and aura to it that demanded respect just looking at it.

The front was bustling with adventurers, going in out of the building. The door was a majestic blend of steel and an unknown material. It feels surreal standing in front of the adventurer guild.

Despite weeks having passed since I arrived to this world, this is the first time I stepped out from the kingdom of Estia.

I entered the building and was greeted by a wave of discussions from the adventurers in the first floor of the building.

"Did you hear the Star team ventured in a mid-level dungeon south of Aldina town" A lean muscular man asked his friend standing beside him in a corner of the room.

"Really "

Asked his friend in disbelief.

"Apparently their leader received a special skill from hia system". Replied the man.

"The rich sure has it good" his friend mused back.

I look around the room trying to find the reception area amidst the bustling crowd. My eyes strayed to the north of the room where I saw rows of desk lined up with workers attending to adventurers.

"Found you". I mused

I made my way to a vacant desk trying to get a hang of what I can do with my current strength.

The receptionist was a young lady who looks in her early 20s. She noticed me and

"Welcome to the Adventurer guild young sir" she said with a practiced smile on her face.

"Hello" I replied.

"How can I be of help" she asked still maintaining the smile on her face.

"I need to go into the dungeon, how do I go about it" I asked with a small smile on my face.

She appeared shocked with the way I asked the question but as if I was imagining it, her smile is back on her face as she explained the basics to me.

"To explore a dunge you need to be registered with us and also possess an average strength before you can get access" she continued

"The minimum requirements are rank D or higher or a late foundation realm cultivation"

"You can also apply to be part of a party to explore without the strict requirement" she said.

I listened to all that she said and thought about my strength. I meet neither of the criteria mentioned. The only option is to either join a party or risk soloing the dungeon raid.

"Can I at least get to enter a low-level dungeon with my current strength" I asked

"We will have to test your current strength to determine that" she replied.

"I would like to sign up for now" I said.

She shuffled around some papers on her desk looking for something.

"Ahh….. here it is" she said holding up a form. She extended it to me.

"Fill in your information and we can move from there" she said as I collected the form from her.

Checking out the contents of the form. It only asked basic information like name, type of system and whatnot.

I looked up from the paper scratching the back of my head…

"Can I get something to write with" I asked sheepishly.

She smiled as she extended the quill and ink to me.

"Here" she said.

I thanked her with an appreciative smile and fill in the necessary information. I passed the form back to her after.

"I'm done" I said.

She glanced at the form nodding her head. She stored the information on what looked like a recording crystal.

After doing whatever it is she was doing, she handed we a white badge with a sword crest on it.

"That is a badge to prove your affiliation with the guild" she explained as she noticed me looking at the crest curiously.

"Ohhhh" I said.

"You can check out the quest boards to check out available quest" she said gesturing to another corner with occasional adventurer checking something out.

"Thank yoo" I said.

"The pleasure was all mine" she said with a smile.

I moved to check out the quest board.

Moving I noticed the color of badges between the adventurers differ. There was the white badge which was what I can see most and the occasional blue, cyan, and red badge.

I finally made it to the quest board, seeing several low-level dungeon available. I took a quick glance and found one in a merchant town.

'Ironclad town' a low-level dungeon opened in a their territory. I took up the quest and set out from the Adventurer guild.

'Time to get serious'
