With a robotic buzz, all the Spider Drones fired the syringes containing the Quirk Suppression Drugs together, lighting the darkened battlefield with cyan-colored raindrops.
They didn't even lock onto any target.
Sky and ground, everything surrounded by the drones, got dotted with the bullets, the syringes leaving behind a cyan trail in their wake.
As if that wasn't enough, because of their sheer speed, they weren't even as affected by the increased gravity as some of their targets.
Tomura Shigaraki twisted unnaturally midair, feeling the broken bones in his body because of Alex's brutal beating and Bakugo's explosion.
Half of his mind was in a blurred whiteness, reliving the moments of his childhood.
The other half was full of whispers—urgings—to end everything—to crumble everything!
He could hardly feel pain.
He could hardly reason.
Yet, despite his mind's muffled state, something was letting him transcend… making him inhumane.
As the syringes came for him, Shigaraki stretched out his hands toward them.
The bullets were so fast that he couldn't see them. Much less needed to be said about dodging them midair because of the weight pressing down upon him.
An even bigger impossibility was using his Quirk on the syringes.
Forget about wrapping all his fingers around them, because of the syringes' penetrating power, their speed, and their sheer number, no matter how powerful his Decay would become, even that wouldn't be enough.
Despite that, Shigaraki… had a feeling.
The evil was smiling.
A heat… boiling, burning, and scorching… originated from Shigaraki's hands. If he could feel pain, then he would have screamed out his lungs, rupturing his throat.
Shigaraki felt like someone had applied a thick layer of lava on his hands.
One of the syringes, which was coming right at his chest, met the tip of Shigaraki's right hand's middle finger first.
The moment the syringe's needle made contact with his hand, in that hundredth of a second, the entire syringe… decayed, disintegrating into oblivion.
As Shigaraki fell, more and more syringes came for him.
However, his arms moved as if they were alive, and the lava he carried on his palms met the syringes, decaying all of them.
Seeing this scene from a few meters away, dodging the bullets himself, Bakugo's eyes widened to the extreme.
…
Captain Celebrity's fist met Stain's foot, and the resulting vacuum sucked in all the syringes toward them from their immediate surroundings.
Not one of the needles could even touch Christopher because of his constant telekinetic shield that he maintained on himself. The same was true for Stain as well, whose skin was so hard that the needles that were designed to penetrate even steel couldn't leave a scratch, bouncing off.
Then, with a BOOM, the two separated before lunging at each other.
Two thick muscle strands came spurting out from Stain's palms, grabbing the swords at their ends. Sonic booms rang out as he used them like whips, attacking the fake Hero.
Dodging the swords by the width of a hair, Christopher lunged at the Villain.
To his great surprise, Stain opened his mouth and spat out a ball of green liquid.
Despite the telekinetic force field upon him, a few of the drops burned their way to his cape, creating giant holes.
Acid?! Christopher realized, shocked, creating distance. Multiple Quirks?!
He didn't know that Stain's strength wasn't natural, to begin with.
Frowning, Captain Celebrity stared as Stain's mouth, which was bleeding because of his own acid, regenerated. "… You are making me look bad…"
Brimming with anger, Stain blinked out of existence, his speed momentarily surpassing the drones' bullets.
Captain Celebrity lifted his hands.
The swords of judgment came for his neck, Stain's eyes bleeding redness to kill the fake Hero.
The Hero clapped.
A rattling boom made the swords pause midair.
Muscle tendrils squirmed out of Stain's back, but they were pushed back as well.
Captain Celebrity grabbed one of the syringes coming at him and, with a begrudging look, stabbed it in Stain's eye.
…
Luke dodged as Koichi's punch came at him, air sizzling in their surroundings.
From behind, three more syringes came for him, making him use Air Bullets to parry them away.
On this battlefield, the Apostles of Mr. Fool were faring the worst, Luke knew.
They hadn't come here with the mind for a full-blown battle, to begin with.
It was supposed to be a subtle infiltration and subtler extraction mission.
However, somewhere along the line, things had taken the worst turn.
Where Conformity was relying on the number of Quirks, and Singularity was relying on their qualities, Mr. Fool's Apostles were destined to rely upon themselves and their preparedness.
However, presently, preparedness was the last thing Luke could afford to be worried about.
Neither could he use his Quirk nor could he use his Beyonder abilities to their maximum output.
Even if the abilities themselves weren't a part of the System, they still relied on his Spirituality, eating away at his Spirit Points. Spirit Points that… in a most baffling case of Bioalchemy so far… had not returned to him after Mushroom's death.
Between Intelligence and Enhanced Vitality of High Complexities, and Myco-Machine Symbiosis of Super Complexity, 270 out of Luke's 425 Spirit Points were already locked.
And the remaining 155 Spirit Points were running out fast as well.
Luke's Danger Intuition was constantly letting him know of the syringes coming at him from his blind spots, letting him dodge or parry them.
As if that wasn't enough, every drop in his Spirit Points seemed to scream that the way out of this mess was closing faster…
Gripped by this sense of dooming urgency, Luke took out dozens of cards and threw them at Koichi.
However, the Hero instinctively dodged each one of the dagger-like cards, crossing the distance between him and Dr. Blessed with one jump.
Suddenly, Koichi opened his hand, a blue glow concentrating in the hollow of his palm.
Then, timing them with the next round of syringes, he fired his Shooty-Go-Blam attack.
A boom rang out as, in the process of dodging the bullets, Dr. Blessed got hit by the repulsor burst.
"Yes!" Koichi let out a shout.
In the next moment, though, his face fell—Dr. Blessed's entire figure crumpling like paper.
