Chapter 1 - Windermere Mansion

A mysterious, comic, and suspenseful story begins…

---

Scene 1: Arrival at the Mansion

An old man, Mr. Ostwill — the mansion's owner — stood at the gate. He wore a funny cap, held a wooden stick, and a set of antique glasses balanced on his nose. Despite it being morning, the sky was covered in clouds, and the trees rustled with an eerie breeze. Mr. Ostwill stood with a sweet smile and a welcoming posture.

"Let's see… what changes from today," he murmured softly.

In the reflection of his glasses, a modestly luxurious car came into view.

From the driver's seat emerged Mr. Adward — a cheerful, plump man in a white shirt, lavender pants, worn brown boots, and an old black hat. The main character, he found comedy in everything, yet hid a mastermind's brain behind his laughter.

From the passenger side, stepped out his son, Aster — handsome, hazel-eyed, slow-smiling, and introverted, as if guarding a secret.

Beside him appeared Lavendria, Aster's sister — optimistic, talkative, incredibly beautiful, and everyone's favorite.

From the back emerged Mrs. Klain Adward, Mr. Adward's wife — graceful in a knee-length dress, her shiny hair catching the faint light, a serious but kind-hearted woman.

Then tumbled out the two adorable daughters — Cliff and Choff — small, giggling, and absolutely naughty.

Mr. Adward (laughing as he walks toward Mr. Ostwill):

"Helllloooo Mr. Ostwardd!"

Mr. Ostwill (smiling gently):

"It's 'Ostwill,' sir. It's good to see you. You look quite happy."

Mr. Adward:

"Of course, we're very happy! Finally, a vacation at such a wonderful place! So glad I met you at the train station that day and you invited us!"

Mr. Ostwill:

"Ah, it was my lucky day. If it weren't for you, I would've missed my train."

They both laugh warmly.

Scene 2: Family Introductions

Mrs. Adward walks forward and greets sweetly:

"Hello Mr. Ostwill! It's a pleasure meeting you."

Mr. Ostwill's smile deepens unexpectedly as he looks at her.

Mr. Ostwill:

"Hello ma'am. I'm truly glad to have you here."

Mr. Adward (with pride):

"Let me introduce you to my adorable family."

He puts his hand on his son's shoulder.

Mr. Adward:

"This is my son, Aster."

Aster (smiling slightly):

"Hello, Mr. Ostwill."

Mr. Ostwill (pleased):

" hello son , It's nice to ..meet you, ."

Their eyes meet, and something unsaid passes between them.

Then Lavendria steps forward energetically:

"Hellooo Mr. Ostwill! You look so good, sir!"

Mr. Ostwill (chuckling):

"Hello dear, it's wonderful to meet you."

Mr. Adward:

"This daughter of ours is very bubbly — everyone's favorite."

Everyone laughs.

Just then, Cliff and Choff run up, shouting together:

"Hello Mr. Ostwarrrdd…dd!"

Everyone bursts out laughing.

Mr. Ostwill (to Mr. Adward):

"They're just like you."

Mrs. Adward (softly):

"Thank you, sir, for helping my husband that day."

Mr. Ostwill:

"It was my pleasure, ma'am. Now, shall we all go inside?"

Mr. Adward:

"Oh, absolutely! Let's go!"

Scene 3: A Mysterious Welcome

As everyone walks and chats, Mr. Ostwill quietly hands his stick to Aster and begins unlocking the door with an old brass key.

Suddenly, dozens of mysterious birds swoop in. The wind howls stronger. Dark clouds swirl above.

The birds head straight for Mr. Ostwill's head, but Aster quickly swings the stick to shoo them away. With a sudden flash of light, the birds scatter, as if released from a spell.

Mr. Ostwill (whispering with a strange smile):

"Just as I thought… He is the one."

Aster:

"Excuse me, sir? Did you say something?"

Mr. Ostwill (snapping out of it):

"Oh, just that birds often fly in during this weather."

Mr. Adward (laughing):

"No worries, sir. We love birds. Love them a lot!"

Laughter fills the air. The old lock clicks open.

And the family steps inside...
