After his chill vacation with Aunt May, Aidan was finally ready to dig through all the cool stuff he'd been hoarding in his storage device. The AllSpark sat there glowing like the world's most dangerous nightlight—it could literally bring every machine on Earth to life, though it would burn itself out completely in the process. With all the crazy powerful people already running around, that seemed like overkill. Way better to use it as a battery for his giant robot or maybe power his other projects.

Time was weird between dimensions. Even though Aidan felt like he'd lived through eight whole years of adventures, only three days had actually passed back in the Marvel world. His base on Apex Island was still being built—they'd barely started unpacking the electronics. For now, he was stuck doing his experiments in the temporary lab on the surface.

The fake sun overhead looked pretty but gave off zero heat. Aidan stood alone in what looked like the world's biggest backyard—endless green grass with a few random trees scattered around. He felt a bit like a hero in one of those epic movie moments, except way more relaxed.

Time for the fun part. He pulled out a bunch of magical rings and a big storage box, then started releasing his robot buddies into the open space. One by one, more than a dozen massive Transformers appeared—Optimus Prime, Megatron, Heatwave, Ironhide, Drift, and others. They just stood there like the world's coolest action figures, completely still and lifeless.

Back on Cybertron, things had changed big time. No more Autobots versus Decepticons drama—Sentinel Prime was now in charge and trying to make nice with humans. Bumblebee had decided to stick with Sam because, honestly, those two were inseparable. Optimus Prime and even Megatron had chosen to follow Aidan instead, partly because they worried their old conflicts might cause problems on this Earth, but mostly because they genuinely liked the guy.

Aidan carefully released each glowing Spark from their containers, watching them float toward their robot bodies like tiny shooting stars finding their way home. As each Spark settled into place, the cold metal came alive. Stiff joints became fluid, dark eyes blazed with intelligence, and suddenly his garage was full of living, breathing (well, sort of) giant robots.

"Chief!" Optimus Prime's voice boomed as he dropped to one knee, somehow managing to look both incredibly powerful and totally respectful at the same time.

"Leader! Chief!" The other Autobots chimed in as they came online, their voices mixing into an awesome robot choir.

Aidan grinned and waved them up. "Welcome to the neighborhood, guys."

Megatron looked around with those intense red eyes of his. "Interesting. This feels like Earth, but different somehow."

"Spot on. This is Earth, just not your Earth. It's my home universe." Aidan gestured to a shimmering hologram that appeared nearby. "The White Queen here will catch you up on all the local news and answer whatever questions you've got."

While his robot friends got their orientation from the AI, Aidan moved on to his next project—building his own personal pocket dimension. Unlike his other storage gadgets, magical space was way cooler to work with. After years of studying how space worked, he finally felt confident enough to create a dimension big enough for his giant mecha.

Days flew by in his island lab. Aidan worked with forces that would make most people's heads explode, literally tearing holes in reality. Finally, with a sound like the universe hiccupping, a crack appeared in front of him—a window into his brand new personal dimension.

"Yes! Finally got it!" He let out a huge breath, totally exhausted. Creating your own pocket of reality was apparently harder than it looked on TV. But the hard part was done—now he just had to make sure it wouldn't collapse and kill him.

Just as he started working on the stabilization spell, the White Queen popped up. "The Ancient One wants to chat. Should I patch her through?"

"Yeah, put her on."

The Ancient One appeared like the world's calmest video call participant. "Good evening, Master," Aidan said, not stopping his delicate spellwork.

"It's actually the middle of the afternoon here," she replied, and he could swear she was trying not to smile.

"Right, time zones. What's up?" The magic circle in front of him was getting seriously complicated, like trying to solve a Rubik's cube while juggling.

"Asgard wants to throw you a party. Apparently Odin is very excited about having you visit—he mentioned something about a feast."

"That's awesome of them, but I'm completely swamped right now. Between making my Transformers movie and building this whole future-tech theme park, I barely have time to eat. Can we do a rain check?"

The Ancient One nodded like she totally got it. "Also, Mordo wants to talk to you when you have time."

"Huh, why doesn't he just call me directly?" Aidan asked, genuinely puzzled.

"My guess? He wants to see if he can beat you in a fight," she said with the tiniest hint of amusement.

"Oh, that makes perfect sense then," Aidan chuckled.

The Ancient One glanced at his magical work and casually mentioned, "By the way, your spell is about to explode..." before hanging up.

"Wait, what—?" Too late. The stabilization circle went completely haywire, shaking like a paint mixer before collapsing into a shower of harmless sparkles.

Aidan stood there surrounded by magical confetti. "Thanks for the heads up," he muttered sarcastically, then immediately started figuring out what went wrong. He appreciated that the Ancient One used projections instead of just popping into his head uninvited—it showed real respect for personal boundaries.

The lab turned into a light show as Aidan tried again and again. Turns out his engineering background was actually working against him—magic didn't follow the same rules as building bridges. After what felt like forever, he finally got the spell to behave.

The orange-red magic circle pulsed once, synced perfectly with his new dimension, then faded away as it locked everything in place.

"Boom! Nailed it!" Aidan high-fived the air, genuinely pumped. These breakthrough moments never got old. He carefully moved the AllSpark and his giant robot into the magical space, ran a few tests to make sure nothing would randomly explode, then decided he'd earned himself a serious seafood feast.

Later, he sat by a beach grill watching flames dance over some amazing fresh fish. The frantic urgency that used to drive him crazy had mellted into something more sustainable. Before, he'd been terrified of all the random ways the world could kill him—stray explosions, rampaging monsters, or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Every day he delayed getting stronger felt like people might die because of it.

Now? He wasn't claiming to be the strongest guy around, but he could definitely protect himself and the people he cared about. More importantly, he'd figured out that trying to save absolutely everyone all the time was a recipe for burning out completely.

Still, as he bit into perfectly grilled fish and watched Hot Rod absolutely destroy the other robots at beach volleyball, something felt like it was missing. He had power without the panic, purpose without the pressure—but what came next?
