At the test field, Nova Prime Irani Rael stood at the observation periphery. A metal target was positioned at the field's center—a humanoid construct with internal structure mimicking Kree soldier biology.
"Which one do you want to see first?" Aidan asked casually, holding a small metal sphere.
Canbella consulted her list, starting directly from the top.
"Time Bomb." She looked at Aidan with bright anticipation.
"Alright." Aidan retrieved a blue energy cylinder from spatial storage—wrapped in a metal exoskeleton. "The Time Bomb manipulates local gravity to alter relative time flow, slowing temporal progression in a specific area."
He threw the cylinder directly toward the target position.
Bang! The device detonated upon ground contact near the target. The sound wasn't particularly loud, no fire—just a strange energy wave spreading outward. Then, under the observers' amazed gazes, the target was slowly blown backward against gravity. Debris kicked up by the blast floated in slow motion, suspended as if in amber.
"Try firing a shot," Aidan said to Canbella beside him.
She took a standard-issue Nova blaster from the nearby weapon rack.
Beep! A pulse of energy spurted out, lashing toward the target's position.
The moment the energy bolt reached the gravitational range, it entered another temporal dimension—speed suddenly slowing to a crawl.
She fired several shots in succession, but the situation remained identical. The bolts hung in mid-air, inching forward at glacial pace.
Then the explosion's energy reached its limit. Gravitational force in the affected range returned to normal. The previously slow-flying energy projectiles suddenly accelerated, hitting the target with their full kinetic energy restored instantly.
Bang bang bang... Intensive explosions sounded across the field, the target covered by sparks from energy impacts.
"Incredible!" Rhomann said, genuinely amazed.
"What's the maximum coverage of the version you've manufactured?" Canbella asked while recording damage data.
"Approximately two hundred meter radius," Aidan replied. "But that's the heavy ordnance version, requiring battleship deployment." In terms of raw destructive power, it might not match standard anti-matter cannons. Its value lay in tactical control.
Canbella remained silent, thinking deeply while recording data.
"Next is the Nano-Lightsaber," she said, consulting the list.
"This works best in conjunction with the Biological Battlesuit," Aidan said, holding a palm-sized metal disk and a blue lightsaber hilt.
"Understood." She nodded, calling a soldier over. The test subject was a tall, handsome young man.
"Ax, put on this battlesuit and test it in the field." Seeing him, Canbella's serious expression softened noticeably.
"Alright." Ax glanced at Aidan curiously, taking the lightsaber and battlesuit disk. "Um... how do I use this?" he asked, holding the metal disk.
"Place it against your spine."
Ax positioned the metal disk on his back. The material immediately liquefied, rapidly covering him in silver-white armor. The battlesuit had no obvious joints—more like a second skin or advanced bodysuit. His face was covered by a mirror-like mask reflecting the surroundings.
After the suit enveloped him, Ax moved his wrist and swung the nano-lightsaber experimentally.
"How is it?" Canbella asked curiously.
"Excellent. I want to try it now," he said, jumping in place impatiently.
"Alright, proceed to the test field!" After confirming proper fit, Canbella activated a program on the console.
A combat drone slowly emerged from the field hangar, loaded with thermal weapons. Ax immediately jumped into the test field lightly, movements enhanced by the suit's capabilities.
"If you purchase them, I can add Nova Corps insignia," Aidan said with interest, arms crossed while watching.
"Let's see after the test concludes," Canbella said, eyes fixed on the field.
"I'm ready!" Ax shouted toward the observation bunker.
Canbella nodded, activating the drone.
The previously stable hovering drone suddenly became aggressive, countless energy bullets ejecting while it gained altitude.
Ax transformed into a white blur, running across the massive testing ground. Dense energy fire was easily dodged by his enhanced speed. Then, finding an opportunity, Ax stopped momentarily, crouched, and jumped explosively upward. The drone continued shooting, but all projectiles were deflected by the lightsaber in Ax's hand.
Slash!
The drone was split in half by the close-proximity strike.
The test ended quickly. Several observers felt somewhat unfulfilled.
"Deploy two test machines," Canbella ordered immediately.
Two drones entered the arena, positioning at higher altitude, shooting at Ax from opposing angles. But as before, both test drones were quickly eliminated by the agile soldier.
The testing of all weapons lasted approximately six hours. Finally, after discussions between Nova Prime Irani Rael and Minister Canbella, they decided on an initial order:
50 Biological Battlesuits with matching Nano-Lightsabers
2,000 Time Bombs
20 sets of Electromagnetic Yaka Arrows
1 Custom Spatial Teleportation Device
The Biological Battlesuit and matching Nano-Lightsaber unit price was set at 750,000 Units (discounted from 800,000). Fifty sets totaled 37.5 million Units.
Time Bomb unit price: 20,000 Units. Two thousand units totaled 40 million Units. Though the capability was strange and powerful, it was ultimately a consumable.
Electromagnetic Yaka Arrow unit price was temporarily set at one million Units, with final pricing determined by material costs. If scarce metals were required—such as the special sound-sensitive Yaka metal from Centaur IV used for Yondu's whistle arrow—the price would increase.
The customized spatial device sold for 50 million Units.
However, only 50% deposit was paid upfront. The remainder would be paid after goods were received and verified.
"Doesn't Mr. Aidan have some more... powerful weapons?" After signing the contract, Canbella asked, slightly reluctant to let the topic drop. In her assessment, with these technologies, he must have mastered manufacturing weapons of mass destruction.
"Yes, but I'm not planning to manufacture them," Aidan spread his hands apologetically.
"Why? We can pay premium prices!"
"I don't have that time," Aidan shook his head. Regardless of galactic conflicts, he had to settle his own affairs first before becoming a full-time arms dealer for interstellar wars.
Canbella wanted to press further, but Nova Prime Irani Rael interrupted.
"Mr. Aidan, I'll have Rhomann accompany you to scout store locations. I still have matters requiring attention." She'd specifically set aside time for this demonstration. Now war affairs demanded her attention again.
