Chapter 78 - The Full Moon Savior

As the full moon bloomed, it was time for Liebe to wake up. He noticed Licht was missing. Soon after, Alysa and Elizabeth checked in. Liebe said, "Good," and added, "Remember—tonight will be our last night here. At dawn tomorrow, our operation begins."

Alysa said, "Well, I haven't talked to him for the last 8 hours."

Liebe replied, "I don't know… but well, nothing we can do now. We'll take care of it."

Alysa said, "Got it."

Liebe continued, "Alysa, remember—use the weapons only when needed."

"Got it," she answered.

Then Alysa said, "Someone's coming. I have to go."

Liebe said, "Bye."

Alysa and Elizabeth ended the call.

Liebe whispered to himself, "Please be safe... Licht, where did you go?"

Meanwhile, in Alysa's location, someone said, "Servant, the mistress is asking for you."

Alysa replied, "Okay," and quickly scribbled in her notebook: Coming.

As she entered the room, the mistress said, "Close the door."

Alysa did as she was told. But as soon as she looked into the mistress's eyes, something changed. She didn't know why, but fear gripped her heart. Every instinct in her body screamed at her to run. The aura alone made the air feel heavy.

Alysa used sign language to ask a question.

The mistress said, "My, my… dear, aren't you beautiful? To think someone like you could be so pure… a virgin, so untainted, yet still sold at such a low cost."

Alysa only nodded.

The mistress placed her hands on Alysa's cheeks and whispered, "What a beautiful little girl… Too bad I'll have to eat you tonight. After this, I'll be stronger."

Sensing she had no other choice, Alysa thought, I have to use it now.

As Mistress Nyrex lunged to devour her, Alysa cried out, "No choice left now… Roar of Light!"

Liebe gave me this extra mouthpiece... It's also imbued with Licht's light, she remembered.

The roar attack blasted through part of the building. Liebe saw the explosion from afar and instantly understood—Alysa was in danger.

"Liebe Faust Quattuor—taking off!" he shouted as he launched toward the site.

Licht murmured from afar, "Alysa, Elizabeth… please be safe."

Meanwhile, Nyrex hissed, "Girl, I will devour you!"

But Alysa still had her blades. In a desperate move, she slid one across Nyrex's neck.

"I did it… I killed the demon," she gasped.

Suddenly, laughter echoed around her. A voice sneered, "You don't even have the slightest clue what you're up against now, do you?"

Alysa's thoughts raced. What do I do now? I can't use my magic here… It isn't right…

Just then—

"Dark Magic: Crescent Moon Slash!" Liebe's voice rang out.

The slash landed between Alysa and Nyrex, slicing through part of the building and sending Nyrex crashing down.

Liebe landed beside her. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Alysa, eyes wide, said, "You… you came. You really came to save me."

"Of course I did."

"Thank you," she said, softly.

Liebe stood tall. "It's time for me to finish this."

"What about Licht?" Alysa asked.

Liebe replied, "I don't know. So I have to put an end to this myself."

Just as he was about to fly off, Alysa cried out, "Please don't go! If something happened to you… I wouldn't be able to forgive myself!"

Liebe knelt down and hugged her. "I won't leave you. I promise. Now stay here… try to get Elizabeth. This place is about to become a warzone. But no matter what… I will always come back for you."
