They were all transported to the hospital, and for some reason, placed in the same room. Hours passed, and none of them were waking up.
Gelda asked, "Doctor, how are they doing?"
The doctor saluted. "Ma'am, as an S-class knight, there wasn't any need for you to come personally."
Gelda replied, "At ease. Now tell me what's wrong."
The doctor said, "We're healing them. They're almost recovered—just some bone fractures. Everyone except Licht should wake up in about an hour."
Gelda sighed. "Even if he wasn't hurt, I doubt Licht would wake up anytime soon."
She entered the room and waited. After several hours, Liebe suddenly woke up, eyes wide.
"Ma'am, please forgive me! I didn't mean it! I have a wife and nine children! Please spare me for their sake!"
Gelda burst out laughing and got the whole thing on video.
"Sorry, Lord, it was just too funny."
Alysa added, "Hello, I'm Alysa, the wife. And these are Licht and Elizabeth—two of the nine kids."
Liebe looked around. "Oh… it's just you guys."
Elizabeth giggled. "I'm sorry. It was just that funny!"
Gelda smirked. "Well, it's good to see the captain has a daughter-in-law and nine grandchildren."
Liebe groaned. "Knock it off…"
Licht said, "You say that after making me broke babysitting your kids."
Alysa replied, "You forgot you were a kid too."
Licht grinned. "Oh, sorry. Daddy, get me a candy!"
Elizabeth added, "Daddy, Mommy, I need a diaper change!"
Liebe turned to Gelda. "Your kid wet her pants again."
Gelda shrugged. "Don't worry, she's trained to change it herself."
Liebe blinked. "Is there some kind of… voice command?"
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "I'm a kid, not a robot."
The doctor entered. "As much as I personally enjoy the humor, Vice Captain Sir and Lady Gelda, please take some rest. Bone healing doesn't happen easily, even with magic. It takes time."
Gelda nodded. "Got it. Vice Captain, rest now—and try for baby number 10 later."
Alysa said, "I don't mind trying right now."
Somehow, they all fell asleep again.
