Chapter 159 - Time to Train

Obsidian said, "Also, Liebe, prepare your familia. That dragon will be a huge help. And the same goes for you, Licht."

Licht said, "Wait—I'm going too?"

Obsidian replied, "As Liebe's aid, I would assume you'd go."

Liebe said, "Okay then. Mind if we take our leave?"

Obsidian said, "One more thing."

Liebe asked, "Umm… pardon?"

Obsidian continued, "With each spin of Hell's Wheel, one of the demons of the Ars Goetia will be released, until Bael is chained no more. As horns turn to dust, the clock will be consumed in flames of vengeance. Hatred will manifest—until they realize only ash remains, as the titans turn to dust."

Liebe blinked. "Ummm… what was that, sir? I'm not exactly a fan of poetry."

Obsidian replied, "The Grandmaster told me to tell you this—and that you'll understand when the time comes."

Licht said, "The only thing I understand is that someone's gonna die. That's all I can think of."

Obsidian smirked slightly. "Also, for this month, work on learning some etiquettes required for diplomacy."

Liebe said, "Umm, sir, did you just tell me to rest and learn something new in the same sentence?"

Obsidian said, "Yes. Yes, I did."

Liebe sighed. "Okay then, sir. We'll take our leave."

Obsidian nodded. "Sure. And by the way, Liebe and Licht—your familias passed. You two officially pass my class until the midterms. Congratulations."

After leaving, Licht said, "How about I change your familia's name from Lido to Tian?"

Liebe smiled. "Looks like the little dude likes Titan more then."

As they were walking, Licht said, "Only forty-eight hours left."

Liebe asked, "Forty-eight hours for what?"

Licht said, "Your battle against Yuna."

Liebe froze. "Frick, I forgot to train!"

Licht said, "Don't worry. You've trained plenty. For now, you just need to rest. I suggest: go as you are for the next twelve hours, then take an eighteen-hour nap, meditate for clarity, do some light training for another twelve, then rest six more before the fight. That should get you into the ideal state to win."

Liebe said, "Okay then."

Licht asked, "So, what happened to that legendary armor you made—'The Drop of Death'?"

Liebe said, "So far, it's my best creation. The blade bits are great—they can mimic my ideal movements—but I need to improve their reaction speed. It's fine for normal people, but for me, it's about 5.98 seconds too slow. For you, around 6.79 seconds. I'll need to adjust that."

Licht said, "Got it."

Liebe said, "Anyway, I've got to help Iris with her training. Want to come with me?"

Licht grinned. "Thank you, dude—for being my wingman."

Liebe smirked. "Sure. Here's the plan: I'll disappear, you talk, and then I'll come back."

Licht frowned. "But what do I talk about?"

Liebe replied, "That's the point—you don't. You spar. When you talk, you just embarrass yourself, but when you fight, you're in your prime. That's when you're at your best—and when you look your best."

Later, they went to Iris. As Liebe and Iris began sparring, Liebe said, "I have something to do. Why don't you two keep sparring? I'll be back."

When Liebe returned about forty-five minutes later, both Licht and Iris were drenched in sweat.

Liebe smiled. "Looks like you've been training hard."

Iris said, panting, "Not training—trying to survive. How can someone have such an impregnable defence with a rapier? I couldn't land a single hit, even with my magic."

Licht said, "Yeah, sorry. I got carried away. It just felt… natural—like your staff does for you."

He looked at her apologetically. "And sorry for damaging your favorite weapon."

Iris waved it off. "It's okay. I have extras."

Liebe said, "Good. For now, why don't you focus on breaking through Licht's defence?"

Licht thought, Thank you, Liebe. I owe you big time for this.

Iris said, "Alright then."

Licht grinned. "Want to keep going?"

Iris nodded. "Yeah."

Liebe said, "Okay then. You two train—I'll watch."

Iris smiled. "Sure."
