Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The System Panel

The black tattoo on Qin Yu's hand pulsed faintly, like a heartbeat synced with something *cosmic*. He clenched his fist. It felt real. Heavy. Like his hand alone could bend gravity.

But before he could dwell on it, a soft *ding* echoed in his ears.

"A game panel?" Qin Yu muttered, blinking at the floating display only he could see. It was semi-transparent, following his vision like an augmented reality overlay.

He tapped on the stat point.

"Gravitation Index."

He didn't know what it did, but the question marks intrigued him.

[Gravitation Index Unlocked: 1]

A sudden pressure bloomed in his chest — not painful, but dense. It felt like the world acknowledged his mass, his existence. Like the planet *noticed him*.

---

A scream rang out.

Sharp, panicked, human.

Snapping out of the interface, Qin Yu turned toward the sound. Down the cracked street, a collapsed transport van burned. A girl, no older than sixteen, was trapped beneath the twisted metal. Her leg was pinned. She struggled to crawl as another demon — smaller than the first, but faster — skittered toward her on all fours.

He didn't hesitate.

Feet slamming into cracked pavement, Qin Yu **ran**. Faster than he should've. The world around him blurred. Whether it was adrenaline or the system kicking in, he didn't care.

He dove forward — and the girl screamed as the demon leapt.

"*Micro Singularity!

A flicker of darkness bloomed in midair, and the demon's jump turned into a chaotic spiral. It was ripped sideways mid-leap, body contorting unnaturally before it vanished into the swirling black core.

The hole vanished, leaving only silence.

Qin Yu exhaled shakily, heart pounding. Then he knelt by the girl, lifting the twisted debris with newfound strength.

"Can you move?"

She stared at him like he was a god. Then nodded quickly. "Y-Yeah. Thank you."

Ding!

Bonus Mission Completed.

Reward: \[Skill Fragment – Gravitational Pulse] Acquired.

Gravitational Pulse (Lv. 1): Emit a repulsive force centered on the user. Can knock back enemies within a 3-meter radius. Cooldown: 15 seconds.

Qin Yu helped her to her feet. The system was real. The power was real. And the rules of this world — this **Blue Star** — were starting to make themselves known.

"You need to run," he told her. "Find shelter. This place isn't safe."

"What about you?"

He turned, eyes scanning the demon-filled horizon.

"I have something to finish."

Far above, unnoticed by either of them, a shadow watched from the rooftops. Humanoid. Pale eyes like twin moons.

It spoke into a whispering rune.

> "Target located. System signature: *Black Hole Authority* confirmed. Reporting to the Sovereign—he's here."
