Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Into the Naruto World!

At the Konoha Ninja Academy...

In the back row of the classroom, a boy named Akabane was completely focused—not on the lesson, but on his drawings. With quiet strokes, he filled the back of his textbook with lines and dialogue.

After a few minutes, he leaned back, satisfied. He had just completed a short comic panel.

"Hey, Akabane-kun! Let me see! C'mon, show me!" a white-haired classmate called out excitedly.

"Leave him alone. He's obviously busy," another classmate said, trying to stop the disturbance.

"Oi, Akabane! Are you even listening?" the white-haired boy—Jiraiya—shouted, refusing to give up.

Akabane didn't respond.

"I told you to stop!" the other classmate yelled, his patience running out. "If you bug him one more time, I'll beat you to a pulp, Jiraiya!"

A scuffle broke out in the last two rows. Jiraiya got a solid punch from a nearby boy, and just like that, the classroom fell back into silence.

...

Eventually, the lesson neared its end. Akabane coughed lightly and passed his sketch to Jiraiya. "Here, take a look. I'm going to rest a bit."

Suddenly, his cough worsened, becoming rough and violent.

"Akabane, you don't look so good," Jiraiya said with concern. "You should rest more if you want to keep drawing."

As Akabane reached for his sketch, a class bully snatched it from his hands.

"Haha! What kind of garbage is this?" the bully mocked.

Laughter erupted across the room.

Leaning against the wall, Akabane tried to catch his breath. At that moment, a translucent panel appeared before him:

Name: Akabane Kurama

Ninja Class: Academy Student

Physical Strength: 3 (+)

Chakra Strength: 34 (+)

Main Chakra Attribute: Yin

Equipment: Pen, Drawing Board

Ninjutsu: [None]

Points: 27

"Tch… after all that work, just 27 points?"

Half a month ago, Akabane had graduated from the University of Arts & Design in the 21st century, dreaming of becoming a famous illustrator. But fate had other plans—he was suddenly transported into the world of Naruto.

The system activated the moment he drew his first comic here, granting him points whenever someone read his work.

It had been two weeks, and despite all his effort, he had barely scraped together 27 points.

Hope flickered dimly in his heart. Comics didn't even exist in Konoha. He was just a kid now—and a weak one at that.

Still, he arrived at a relatively peaceful time—after the First Great Ninja War. It gave him a chance to grow, if only slowly.

But there was one major setback: his body.

As a member of the Kurama Clan, Akabane inherited powerful chakra... but a frail body. While his chakra strength was above average, his physical endurance was terrible.

In short, he inherited all the weaknesses of his clan and only some of the strengths.

Thankfully, there was a system feature that could help—"Five Senses Control", the clan's unique kekkei genkai. It cost 30 points to unlock, which is why he'd been saving up.

Then a thought struck him.

"Hey… new ninjutsu just showed up in the exchange list."

He opened the panel and saw:

[Transformation Jutsu – D Rank – 5 Points]

[Clone Jutsu – D Rank – 5 Points]

[Substitution Jutsu – D Rank – 5 Points]

[Harem no Jutsu – D Rank – 5 Points]

[Shadow Clone Jutsu – B Rank – 100 Points]

"These are from the very first chapter of Naruto! Does that mean the jutsu in the system reflects what I draw?"

Yes—he had just finished drawing Chapter 1 of the original Naruto manga from memory. It wasn't perfect, but for an art student like him, recreating it was easy enough.

At first, he drew to see if he could trigger his clan's bloodline limit. That's when the Comic System activated.

For Akabane, it was like divine intervention—though it did raise one question: Why Naruto?

But then again... Why not? He was in the Naruto world! What better comic to draw?

Most of the original characters hadn't even been born yet. No one would guess he was drawing the future—they'd just think it was fiction.

"Akabane, your story is awesome!"

"Haha! Who's Naruto? He's hilarious!"

"Is this... the future?"

In their eyes, it was just a kid's wild imagination.

Even Hiruzen Sarutobi, the current teacher and Hokage-to-be, saw it that way.

"Akabane, I admire your love for art," Hiruzen said, walking over as the other students rushed back to their seats. "But please focus during class."

He had said this every day since Akabane started drawing comics during lessons.

"I understand, sensei. I'll be more careful," Akabane replied with an awkward smile.

"Good. Now, hand me the comic. I'll return it after class."

Hiruzen took the sketch.

"But I just started reading it!" a small voice pouted. It was a blonde girl with red eyes—Tsunade. She looked adorable, but everyone knew she was a powerhouse in the making.

"Tsunade, it's just for now. You'll get it back later," Hiruzen assured her, smiling gently.

Back at his seat, Akabane glanced at his panel—and noticed something strange. His points were increasing faster than usual.

Another 2 points.

Then more.

By the time Hiruzen finished reading the first chapter, his points had jumped from 27 to 31.

"That's 5 points from just one person…"

Wait… does a ninja's rank affect how many points I get from them?

He needed to test this.

The Kurama clan had many members. If his theory was right, letting them read his comic could give him a major boost.

"I'm a genius!" he grinned.

Hiruzen, still absorbed in the comic, turned back to page one and started reading it again.

All around him, the students were sneaking peeks—especially Tsunade, her face lit with curiosity.

Eventually, Hiruzen snapped out of it. "Oh no, class time already!"

Meanwhile, Akabane stared at his system panel.

"I can finally afford my first skill. Should I do it?"

He hesitated, then nodded to himself.

A moment later, he confirmed the exchange.

[Skill unlocked: Five Senses Control]

After the system confirmed the exchange, Akabane slowly opened his eyes.

His vision was hazy at first, and he instinctively moved with caution. A strange sensation coursed through his body—he felt even more fragile than before. But in contrast, his awareness had sharpened dramatically.

He could sense the classroom around him, as if every whisper of movement, every fluctuation of chakra, was echoing faintly in his mind.

Of course, he knew this wasn't some miraculous mastery. It was simply the aftereffect of awakening the Five Senses Control—a Kekkei Genkai unique to the Kurama Clan.

Within seconds, the heightened sensitivity faded, replaced by a more subtle, sustained clarity. He blinked and glanced around. His classmates were busy with their own antics, no one paying him much attention—after all, it wasn't unusual for Akabane to sleep in class. His weak body gave him an unspoken pass.

Feeling inspired, he picked up his pen and sketched quickly. A portrait of Jiraiya emerged with a few swift strokes. Then, with a mischievous glint in his eye, he flipped the page and drew a hand near Jiraiya's head, followed by a dramatic "Slap!" in bold.

His pen clattered to the desk.

SLAP!

"Ouch!!" Jiraiya yelled, clutching his head. He looked around in confusion. "Tsunade, was that you?!"

Tsunade didn't even look up. "Why would I bother slapping an idiot like you?"

"If it wasn't her… then it must've been you, Orochimaru!"

"You're a fool," Orochimaru said coldly, but his gaze flickered toward Akabane. He had noticed something—no one had moved, and yet Jiraiya had felt the pain.

An illusion…?

Only the Kurama Clan could manipulate the five senses like this.

To make someone feel a drawn slap as if it truly happened… This was no ordinary Genjutsu. Orochimaru couldn't help but feel a pang of envy.

"The one who's making noise, out!" Hiruzen's stern voice echoed through the room, though his eyes settled momentarily on Akabane with curiosity.

Jiraiya continued rubbing his head, bewildered. Akabane simply looked down, calm and innocent—but inside, he was buzzing with excitement.

I did it.

He had finally awakened his clan's legendary ability: Control of the Five Senses.

He quickly opened his status panel:

Name: Akabane Kurama

Ninja Rank: Academy Student

Physique: 3 (+)

Mental Power: 48 (+)

Main Chakra Attribute: Yin

Equipment: Pen, Drawing Board

Ninjutsu: Five Senses Control

Points: 14

What shocked him most wasn't just the new ninjutsu—but that his mental power had surged by 14 points!

If Jiraiya found out, he'd be green with envy.

But with stronger chakra came greater strain on his already feeble body. Akabane felt it. The fatigue creeping in. The cost of progress.

I need to strengthen my body next...

He tapped the "+" beside Physique. A prompt popped up:

[Increase Physique by 1 point – Cost: 1 point. Proceed?][Increase Mental Power by 1 point – Cost: 10 points.]

Without hesitation, he confirmed.

[Point consumed. Physique increased to 4.]

Then again.

[Point consumed. Physique increased to 5.]

He paused, breathing deeply. His body didn't feel much stronger, but something subtle had shifted. A slight relief. A hint of resilience.

Still… zero points left. And there were so many other jutsu he wanted.

The Shadow Clone Jutsu required a whopping 100 points.

If he could unlock it, he could split himself into clones to work on comics while he rested. It was the perfect strategy.

But for now... I need more readers. And I know just the people.

A sly grin spread across his face.

As the bell rang, Hiruzen kept his word and returned the comic to Tsunade.

She immediately flipped it open and started reading with rapt attention. The moment she finished, the comic vanished—snatched by a sneaky hand.

"Jiraiya!" several voices exclaimed in shock.

He grinned, feigning innocence as he flipped through the pages. "What? I just want to see what the fuss is about!"

Akabane watched the scene unfold with quiet satisfaction.

One by one, his classmates read the comic. Each reaction added to his point count. Even Jiraiya, who had once dismissed him, was now thoroughly engrossed.

Not long ago, these same classmates had mocked him for being weak—for only knowing how to draw.

Now? They lined up to read his work.

Sweet revenge...

"I'm sorry, Naruto," Akabane thought. "Your pain became my points."

He chuckled and checked his panel again. His physique had improved just enough to notice, and his classmates were buzzing with excitement.

After class, Akabane packed up his things, intending to head home, but found himself surrounded.

Of course—these weren't just any kids. This generation included the future Sannin, the White Fang, and even the next Hokage.

"Wait—Naruto is from the Uzumaki clan?" one asked curiously.

"I can't believe we're growing up with a generation like this," another muttered in awe.

Akabane gave a polite smile, answering little. These kids may become legends, but right now, they're just readers to me.

"Oi! Akabane, answer me!" Tsunade stomped up, blocking his path. She pouted, her red eyes narrowed. "Why is Naruto so strong? Is he from the Yuki clan or something?"

Akabane sighed dramatically, feigning defeat. "The characters are just fiction. But yes… Naruto may have been loosely inspired by someone from the Uzumaki clan."

The half-truth was enough to appease the kids, while assuring the adults it was just fantasy.

"Ha! I knew it," Tsunade beamed proudly. "All those clones—it's gotta be from the Yuki clan or someone with crazy chakra."

Meanwhile, at the Hokage's Office...

Hiruzen sat quietly, the comic open before him. He read with deep thought, one hand holding his pipe, the other resting on the table.

"It's just a story... yet somehow, it feels like more."

The names, the events—they stirred something in him.

Konoha's peace was fragile. The calm after the First Ninja War wouldn't last. And yet, this strange comic... painted a future of heroes, of hope.

"Akabane Kurama..." he murmured.

Smart. Creative. And now, awakened.

He looked to the team roster hanging on the wall. Tsunade and Orochimaru's names were already listed. A third slot remained blank.

Hiruzen exhaled slowly, a faint smile forming.

"Maybe this boy… is exactly what Konoha needs.
