"What are you babbling about?!" Yuanzi, currently burning furiously, heard Mu Tianyuan's words and immediately glared at him, shouting. Mu Tianyuan, meanwhile, popped a piece of chocolate into his mouth and said, "Weren't you planning to use chocolate to melt him down, bone marrow and all?"

"Idiot! I mean I'm going to conquer him with chocolates I made myself!" Yuanzi roared instantly. Damn it, this guy is definitely doing it on purpose, isn't he?! What does he take me for, that he'd even offer me incendiary bombs?!

Yuanzi guessed correctly; Mu Tianyuan was naturally doing it on purpose. At this moment, facing the fuming Yuanzi, Mu Tianyuan calmly chewed his chocolate, giving Yuanzi a sidelong glance and saying, "Chocolates you made yourself? I understand. You're not planning arson; you're planning poisoning! I'm telling you, Yuanzi, you're too cruel. Why torture that Minagawa like that? I sincerely suggest you just burn him to death. At least burning him to death would cause him less suffering than eating your chocolates and then being poisoned to death."

And then, Mu Tianyuan was chased by Yuanzi for what must have been two bus stops. If Yuanzi hadn't eventually run out of steam, it wouldn't have been impossible for them to have traced out an entire bus route!

Although he claimed to have come to terms with the time issue, Mu Tianyuan was still quite surprised at how the date had passed. So, after returning home, Mu Tianyuan, along with the little fox and the bewildered Catwoman, gathered in front of the calendar to study it. After watching for a long time, Catwoman turned to Mu Tianyuan, who was muttering to himself in front of the calendar, and asked, "What's wrong, meow?"

Catwoman was originally curled up on the sofa. Seeing Mu Tianyuan and the little fox return and start whispering in front of the wall, Catwoman, driven by feline curiosity, also came over. But after studying for a long time, she still didn't understand what they were researching. Instead, she thought Mu Tianyuan and the little fox were the strange ones.

"No, nothing. I just think this calendar is too damn magical. Just this alone is probably enough for me to brag for half a year, assuming someone believes me." Mu Tianyuan stared at the calendar, which had inexplicably flipped to February, and sighed with emotion. The little fox beside him nodded repeatedly, "Yeah, it's amazing. Whose calendar can update itself like this...?"

Neither the little fox nor Mu Tianyuan had noticed the calendar had flipped to February before, and they could guarantee that neither of them had done it. Naturally, Catwoman couldn't have done it either. So this whole thing was simply magical!

Then the little fox suddenly said in horror, "Wait, this isn't right! I remember the dates were normal before; I've never seen it jump like this! What exactly is going on? What happened to this world?!"

"It must be Conan's fault!" Mu Tianyuan answered with certainty without even thinking. The little fox, naturally, didn't believe Mu Tianyuan's seemingly unreasonable, more like scapegoating than explaining, answer: "I said, can't you stop blaming everything on Conan? Did Conan steal your chicken?"

"You're the one who stole my chicken, alright?" Mu Tianyuan retorted, rolling his eyes. Then Mu Tianyuan said with a serious face, "I used to study it when I was bored. This Conan world was originally supposed to be a very normal world. Our previous year was a good example. But ever since Kudo became Conan, nothing has been normal. The timeline is an absolute mess, just like a ball of yarn played with by a maple leaf."

Since she didn't understand, Catwoman, who was playing with a ball of yarn, immediately turned to Mu Tianyuan when she heard his words: "Meow? You want to play too? Then let's play together, meow!"

"No, you play by yourself." Mu Tianyuan shook his head, then looked at the little fox and continued, "You probably don't know that Conan alone has encountered no less than dozens of Valentine's Day-related cases, but in the end, Conan still hasn't moved past first grade. Speaking of which, wouldn't you say I've caught up to an alternative form of immortality?"

"If that's the case, why were you surprised in the first place?" The little fox asked Mu Tianyuan with a hint of disdain. Her surprise, as someone who didn't know the situation, was understandable, but Mu Tianyuan, who clearly knew, what was he surprised about when he heard it was Valentine's Day in the blink of an eye?!

"Even though I knew, as a normal person, aren't I allowed to be surprised the first time I encounter it?" Mu Tianyuan retorted righteously. He hadn't reacted at first, alright. Would any normal person not be surprised by this? Besides, this was already so special, shouldn't he politely express his surprise?

Regarding Mu Tianyuan's words, the little fox wagged her tail and said, "I said, when we went out today, so many people were dressed like balls. At first, I thought they were idiots, but who knew that we—no, I mean you—are the real idiots in others' eyes."

"Yeah, oh my god, it's already the day where we meet on the street and call each other idiots..." Mu Tianyuan muttered. Seeing people in shirts call those in down jackets idiots, and those in down jackets call those in shirts idiots, it truly was that day!

Then Mu Tianyuan suddenly rubbed his arms and shivered, "Don't mention it, now that I think about it, it feels so cold. Does Japan not have heating? Do officials here think this is the South?! No, I need to go find a blanket. You guys wait!"

Ten minutes later, Mu Tianyuan, the little fox, and Catwoman (who had abandoned her ball of yarn and burrowed into the blanket) huddled together around a barbecue grill for warmth. As he warmed himself, Mu Tianyuan picked up the supernatural calendar, intending to throw it into the grill to make its final contribution, but then his hand suddenly paused, and he said with a serious expression, "Wait, I just realized something!"

"What is it?" The little fox and Catwoman both looked at Mu Tianyuan curiously. Mu Tianyuan glanced at the fox and cat, then said seriously, "By the way, weren't we originally planning to tough out this half-month and then collect our living expenses?"

"Yeah," the little fox nodded in response. Wasn't that what they had planned from the beginning? Why was Mu Tianyuan asking now?

"If I remember correctly, we were supposed to have endured one week and were about to get our money in another week, right?" Mu Tianyuan continued to ask the little fox and Catwoman with a serious expression. Catwoman shook her head very straightforwardly, "Don't know, meow. Anyway, many days have passed, meow!"

In Catwoman's understanding, there was no systematic method for recording time. She only knew that many days had passed. Anyway, as a cat, she didn't need to go to work or school, so why remember so much?

The little fox was different from Catwoman; she was practically a human wearing a fox skin. Therefore, upon hearing Mu Tianyuan's words, the little fox immediately nodded, indicating that Mu Tianyuan was correct. Then she asked, somewhat puzzled, "What exactly do you want to say?"

"Today is the thirteenth, which means we still have fifteen or sixteen days to get through this month!" Mu Tianyuan's serious expression finally broke at this moment. He said, almost frantic, "We were clearly past the twentieth before, right? So, the three of us's economizing this week was all for nothing?!"

"Uh... no!" The little fox also went frantic when she heard Mu Tianyuan's words. The half-month they originally thought would pass had already seen a week go by, and it was still half a month away. This was truly frustrating for the little fox, who had originally thought she would soon be eating roasted chicken!

"That's not even the most important thing. The most important thing is that our refrigerator's stock will only last a week at most, and I'm too embarrassed to constantly mooch off Uncle Mouri for food. How are we going to survive the remaining week?" Mu Tianyuan mumbled, clutching his hair in frustration. Damn it, so what if the timeline jumped? Did you consider that I'm about to starve?! My family of one adult and two young ones is counting on getting living expenses at the beginning of the month, but now the date suddenly went back a week, what are my family of three supposed to do? Should I take my whole family out to live like urban beggars for the remaining week?!

"Don't we still have dozens of kilograms of flour?" The little fox, after being frantic for a while, sighed and mumbled when she heard Mu Tianyuan's words, "If worst comes to worst, we'll eat pancakes..."

"Eat pancakes for a week? Without any oil, the three of us carnivores would starve to death in three days, alright, we'd be eating people on the streets." Mu Tianyuan mumbled, utterly frustrated, "We can't always eat well, but we can't just eat dry pancakes all the time either. It sounds so bleak, alright!"

The little fox shivered as she imagined what Mu Tianyuan said, then nodded forcefully. It truly sounds bleak. Catwoman looked left and right at Mu Tianyuan and the little fox, tilting her head. "I think eating pancakes is good, meow!"

Although she had been in Japan for over a year, in all honesty, Mu Tianyuan was never quite accustomed to Japanese food, especially sushi. He found it too meager, and it wasn't as satisfying as eating a bowl of rice. So, apart from occasionally mooching meals at Uncle Mouri's place, he often cooked Chinese food for himself. And Catwoman had once eaten a pancake made by Mu Tianyuan and thought it was really delicious. Why were they reacting like this to eating pancakes?

"I'm not saying eating pancakes is bad, but you can't eat them every meal, can you?" Mu Tianyuan rubbed Catwoman's head and explained. Then Mu Tianyuan suddenly stood up from the blanket with a serious expression. "It's time to show my true abilities..."

The little fox rolled her eyes and grumbled when she heard Mu Tianyuan was going to show his true abilities. "Are you finally planning to rob a bank using force? Have you chosen your target? Is it the Beika Bank near our house?"
