Eli's phone rang consecutively. He finally picked it up.
"Eli, what's up?"
"I've checked on the girl, I'll be on my way very soon."
"Man, be fast, you know we have a lot on our plate today."
"OK, man. I'll be there very soon."
Eli quickly checked in on Hanna for the last time before he left the hospital driving his new Audi Sport car.
Nicholas was already waiting outside wearing a gym kit.
"Let's hit the gym first, we can talk about how we will spend the rest of the day in there". Nicholas said when Eli walked outside after packing his car inside their property.
"Bro, I gotta grab my gym kit then". Eli turned back.
"Man, all is here in my bag. So, let's move."
"Chill, I gotta change too, man.
And, I'm beginning to think there's something else on your mind". Eli responded.
Nicholas was amazed at how Eli could figure that out.
"Truly, the girl I met at the gym last week, the one we were talking to, do you remember? We have been texting, and I see that her vibes match mine and she's kind of special".
Eli laughed immediately after Nicholas finished speaking "The moment I see how fast you want to leave for the gym, I know there's something else involved." Eli continued, "She might be kind of special, but never get intimidated or reveal that she's special - might come off as she's more valuable than you, and she can do better - that doesn't mean you should not reward, but do when she's receptive."
Nicholas shakes his head, "The girl is so fine, man, and I don't want to fumble her."
Eli collected the bag from Nicholas, grabbed his gym kits, and walked inside the compound to change.
"You've got all the things you need, man. The person who should be saying, he doesn't want to fumble a girl, should be me before the accident." Eli said on his way back. "But you're not that boy from the rugged part of Kencity, you're a King, man".
Nicholas smiled and hugged Eli "My father said you're my best man, that's why he was going to infuse you into the family business".
Eli hugged him back. " Y'all have been nice to a young, fragile soul from nowhere, thank you so much, man."
Nicholas responded after they dissolved "I wonder how a young, fragile soul can possess such a wealth of knowledge."
"Man, I still have much to learn from you," Eli responded.
They started jogging towards the gym as they usually do.
"What do you think about the girl, man?" Nicholas asked Eli.
"I'll say you've to change your perspective and be the King in everything you do, so that you can be the source of that energy, not an adopter or trying to act like a King". Eli answered him.
"You're my best man, I don't have to redefine my character - you know me," Nicholas said.
"Around women too. I missed that". Eli said.
"You think I am trying to put this girl above me?". Nicholas asked.
"I sensed that when you said you don't want to fumble her,". Eli responded.
"That means I should behave like I want a queen, and I will interview her if her vibes match that position". Nicholas said with a confused expression.
Eli smiled and said, "Man that's all you need, nothing else.".
They came to an abrupt stop as a car barreled toward them at breakneck speed. Without hesitation, Eli shoved Nicholas aside, and they both darted away from the vehicle's path. Eli sprang to his feet immediately, his instincts kicking in as he raced toward the car. Memories of the past surged through him, igniting a rage that amplified his determination. His murderous aura was obvious, fueled by a fierce need to teach someone a lesson.
The driver was trying to get away before the car was stopped by a street light pole. Underestimating Eli, he was laughing crazily with someone sitting in the back seat, but Eli caught up with him before he could put the car in reverse. He broke the car window with his hand and dragged the driver out. Before the driver could figure out what was happening, his face had been disfigured by Eli's magical punches.
The guy in the back seat was carried away by what was happening to his driver within a few seconds. Who the hell broke a sports car window with his bare hands? He failed to notice Nicholas suddenly appearing beside him, and Nicholas dragged him out of the car until he was fully exposed. Then, without hesitation, he started methodically pummeling his face, locking eyes with him in a fierce glare that demanded an explanation for whoever dared to threaten his life. To his surprise, the guy started smiling even when he was being pummelled by him. Nicholas increased the pace and power of his punch till he passed out.
Eli opened the car trunk and threw the driver in there. He carried the other into the car, quickly started the car, and drove off before people started coming around to find out what had happened.
