"Then who did it?" asked Leon.
Agares fell silent. He poured beer from the bottle into two glass mugs provided, one for himself and one for Leon.
The two of them enjoyed the drink, sitting on the balcony table chairs while watching outside, watching the townspeople working together to repair the wall of a house damaged by the bald man.
"Soldiers of the Caer Vireth Kingdom!"
"Why are you so sure?" asked Leon.
"I heard it myself, from those who looted the villagers' belongings and raped the women in the village."
"Really?"
"Yes. I killed them on the spot," replied Agares, sipping the drink from his shot glass, "I left them lying there."
Leon was taken aback. If what Agares said was true, then the five corpses he found four months ago were likely the same soldiers killed by Agares.
Slowly, Leon obtained the information he was looking for. He only needed to ask Agares and match his words with what he had found.
