Chapter 100 - Chapter 100 – Racing in the Wild Area

Zach Darnell and Chris Morgan were both A-level Talents, which meant that when they joined the guild, they wouldn't be given any special treatment. But Ryan Carter was different—he was an S-level Talent with massive potential ahead of him.

Before leaving the guild headquarters, Lucas had already spoken with Jade Walker and reached an agreement. Because of that, Lucas used his authority as vice president to immediately promote Ryan Carter from an ordinary member to a high-level member.

Lucas knew that once Ryan's level increased, he would have a real shot at becoming an elite member, maybe even catching the eye of the guild leadership and climbing into the senior ranks. His future looked very bright.

As for Zach and Chris, their path would be slower. They would have to climb the guild ladder by leveling up, completing guild tasks, and making steady contributions. Neither of them complained. A-level Talents might sound impressive to outsiders, but in a place like Kyoto University, where geniuses gathered like clouds, A-level was considered common.

They had expected to start from the bottom—it would be the same in any other guild.

Lucas had actually thought about promoting them to mid-level members right away, but he decided against it. Giving them a sudden jump in rank could cause jealousy among other guildmates. People might assume they got their position through favoritism instead of skill. That kind of suspicion would make it harder for them to fit in.

After all, if two new A-level recruits joined on the same day and only one got promoted, people wouldn't focus on scarcity—they would focus on unfairness. It would be an easy way to create hostility.

But Ryan's case was different. S-level Talents had always been treated with priority according to guild rules, so nobody would question his faster rise.

When Lucas explained this reasoning to Zach and Chris, they both agreed without hesitation. They decided it was better to start from the ground up and earn respect with their own hands.

"Boss Lucas," Zach said, "Chris and I were thinking… maybe we should talk to our old teammates and see if any of them want to join too."

Chris nodded. "We've been through a lot with them over the past month. If they join, we can keep working together."

Lucas smiled. "I'm fine with that. As long as they're interested, bring them along." He remembered those teammates—they had stepped up last time to return his favor. They were good people.

Ryan stayed quiet. His last team had been a group of lone wolves—powerful, yes, but not exactly close friends. He doubted they would join a guild, so there was nothing for him to say.

"Alright," Lucas told them, "once you're in the guild, you'll start getting extra experience. Make sure to hunt monsters and level up every day. Don't waste your three hours of double XP—it resets daily, so use it or lose it."

"We know!" Zach said quickly.

Chris added with a grin, "The guild buff list is insane. When I saw it pop up, I almost couldn't believe it."

"Good," Lucas said, starting up his heavy motorcycle. "I'll head out to grind now."

The deep roar of the engine filled the air as Lucas accelerated, vanishing down the road like a black streak.

Zach stood there, stunned. "Man… that's way too cool. I'm going home and bringing my own bike here. Imagine all four of us rolling down the street—we'd be the kings of the city."

But he didn't know that Lucas's bike wasn't just any motorcycle—it was a special vehicle crafted by an S-level mechanical engineer.

It wasn't only built for speed. It could run both inside the main city and deep into the wild zones. It had protective shielding to resist monster attacks, meaning it wouldn't break down after a few hits like a normal vehicle.

---

Lucas leaned into the wind as the bike roared into the open wilderness. Its performance was ridiculous—even steep slopes could be conquered with the right angle and throttle control. The engine's power made it feel unstoppable.

What used to be a journey of more than an hour was now a ten-minute ride. The thrill was addictive.

First, Lucas headed to the Spider Cave, clearing all three dungeons in record time. Players passing by stared in envy as he rolled out, the heavy bike humming under him, heading toward even more dangerous wild areas.

"Who is that guy?"

"Must be a rich second-gen."

"I swear that's a special vehicle—look at the armor plating!"

"Yeah. Ordinary bikes get shredded in the wild. That one's worth millions at least."

"I'd give anything to take it for a spin. Imagine the rush."

"Forget it. Just keep working—you'll get there one day."

"And did you see the difficulty he's running? Nightmare level. His gear alone has to be worth over a million."

"Probably all purple-quality at minimum. One of his pieces is worth more than our entire set combined."

"How does someone that young have so much money?"

"Rich family?"

"Maybe he married into money."

"Or maybe he's just insanely talented and got recruited by a big guild leader."

"Could be. I heard this year's freshmen had some SS-level and even Transcendent-level geniuses. The president of the Prosperity Guild even came in person to scout one."

"The Prosperity Guild? You mean Logan Barrett's guild?"

"That's the one."

"Wow… if that's who's backing him, no wonder."

Their chatter faded into the distance as Lucas disappeared into the wild, the envy in their voices trailing behind like the dust in his wake.

---

The engine's deep rumble echoed across the open plains. Every so often, a wild monster would notice him and charge, but by the time they reached the road, he was already gone, leaving nothing but flying dirt.

Lucas pulled off his helmet, letting the wind whip through his hair. The rush of speed, the roar of the engine, and the freedom of the open land all blended into a perfect high.

The ground was rough and untamed—no roads, just nature's raw terrain—but this bike devoured it like nothing. It handled dips, bumps, and loose soil with ease. Only sharp cliff-like slopes could slow it down, and even then, it found a way.

The wide tires gripped like claws, the engine's torque sending them spinning in a blur. Tracks carved into the dirt marked the trail of his passage—fast, powerful, unstoppable.

Lucas grinned. This was living. This was freedom.

And he couldn't help thinking—If there was a cute White Rabbit girl riding pillion right now, this would be the absolute pinnacle of life.
