"Zach Darnell (elite member): Just now, I finally cleared the level 20 nightmare dungeon BOSS. And yes—it actually dropped! Two rays of light appeared!"
"Zach Darnell (elite member): Although it was only one green and one white item, I still managed to pull out a double yolk egg!"
"Zach Darnell (elite member): Therefore, Vice President Lucas's so-called metaphysics method has been initially proven to be effective!"
"Zach Darnell (elite member): But since I already teamed up with others for other nightmare clears, I can't test this method again. So, we'll need to wait for @Feng Mingxuan—Brother Xuan—to verify it for everyone. Hold tight, folks!"
"Feng Mingxuan (elite member): Ahem… I just arrived at the entrance of the Level 30 nightmare dungeon. Let me head in first. Don't worry, I'll report back soon!"
"Mason (high-level member): Is it really true?!"
"Zhou Ya'an (high-level member): It looks like Vice President Lucas didn't deceive us after all… he really shared his exclusive loot-pulling method with us! Woohoo! Vice President Lucas, I wrongly accused you before. I solemnly apologize here and now! Sorry!"
"Zhou Peng (ordinary member): Vice President Lucas is truly selfless. I shouldn't have doubted him either. That's my fault!"
"Cheng Bo (mid-level member): I always believed in Vice President Lucas! I've been saying it's real for a long time, but you guys didn't believe me!"
"Leon Graves (ordinary member): Exactly! How could Vice President Lucas possibly lie to us?"
After Zach Darnell personally confirmed the results, the guild chat erupted. Members who had been waiting nervously now flooded the screen with messages. Some cheered, others apologized for doubting Lucas.
"Danny Quinn (ordinary member): Our Boss Lucas is the greatest! There's no way he'd lie to you."
"Chris Morgan (ordinary member): I support Boss Lucas unconditionally!"
"Zhao Qinghe (high-level member): Boss Lucas has the best character in this whole game. Of course I support him!"
"Huang Xin (ordinary member): Seconded!"
"Claire Rivers (ordinary member): Well… then I'll second it too!"
Danny Quinn and the others quickly stirred up the chat with their over-the-top cheering. They loved hyping things up, and once they saw the method was real, they clung tightly to Lucas's side. Even the newly joined priestess girl, Claire Rivers, chimed in supportively. She had a cheerful, generous personality and quickly made friends in the guild.
Not long after, the next set of results came in. Brother Xuan, Feng Mingxuan, had finished his own dungeon run.
"Feng Mingxuan (elite member): Everyone! Everyone! I just cleared the Level 30 nightmare dungeon! The final chest popped with two rays of light—one blue, one green—a proper double yolk egg!"
"Feng Mingxuan (elite member): I hereby confirm that Vice President Lucas's metaphysics is real and effective!"
The guild chat exploded again. Dozens of screens refreshed by the second as cheers and celebrations poured in.
This meant something huge: as long as someone hadn't cleared the nightmare dungeons before, they basically had a chance to "pick up free money."
"Liu Yi (high-level member): Thank you, Vice President Lucas, for sharing this with us!"
"Cheng Bo (mid-level member): Thank you, Vice President Lucas, for sharing!"
"Xie Xiaoruo (elite member): Thank you, Vice President Lucas, for sharing!"
"Wei Kaiyuan (elite member): Thank you… thank you… thank you!"
The messages of gratitude poured in like a waterfall, lasting a full ten minutes before finally slowing.
But not everyone could benefit immediately.
"Cui Zhian (high-level member): Damn… I already cleared nightmare dungeons earlier with a team. Looks like I missed the chance to profit. Hopefully, I can still use it in the future!"
"Xu Jingqi (elite member): Same here. No more chances for me either, but I still appreciate Vice President Lucas's generosity."
"Zhao Yang (ordinary member): Boss, you guys have the strength to clear dungeons. We don't! Even with the method, we can't beat nightmare mode solo! Wuwuwu…"
"Zhang Kexin (ordinary member): Exactly. Even a level 20 nightmare dungeon is too hard for me. I doubt I could clear it alone."
"Emily Frost (ordinary member): We still can't use this metaphysics… sigh…"
"Lu Jiajia (mid-level member): Yeah, it's impossible for me too."
"Leon Graves (ordinary member): Looks like if you don't have the strength, you can't even seize the chance to profit. We'll just have to work harder to improve our levels…"
"Wang Zhuobin (ordinary member): +1! Let's grind harder! Work, fight, upgrade seriously! Come on!"
"Ma Tao (ordinary member): Come on! Don't give up!"
"Mason (high-level member): Come on! Let's go!"
Another surge of motivational cheers filled the guild chat. The energy was infectious.
The truth was, Lucas's metaphysics method could indeed let players earn some easy rewards, but only under the right conditions. Those who were strong enough to solo nightmare dungeons usually did so as part of teams, which ruined the chance. And most players were simply too weak to even attempt solo nightmare clears.
Still, it had an undeniable effect: the guild atmosphere grew closer and more united. The newcomers felt welcomed, the veterans felt proud, and the guild overall gained a shared excitement that bonded them.
That night, Lucas spent the afternoon in the wild areas, grinding monsters and using up his double-experience bonus. Only after finishing did he return to school.
Before he reached the dormitory, his phone buzzed. It was Amelia Su.
"Brother Lucas, did you really reach Level 40 already?!" she asked, her tone full of surprise.
Lucas smiled. "Yes, I did."
He didn't deny it. His leveling speed was terrifying, far faster than even those with SS-class talents who had already changed jobs.
"That's amazing!" Amelia exclaimed, genuinely happy for him. But then her voice softened with a hint of frustration. "…I… I've only reached Level 25 so far…"
If things continued this way, how could she ever hope to catch up to Lucas? No—catching up wasn't even possible. The gap between them would only grow larger over time.
Her chest tightened with both anxiety and helplessness.
Lucas, however, reassured her gently. "Level 25 is already impressive. You're doing well."
He knew that Danny Quinn and the others had only just reached Level 24 yesterday. They were celebrating in their dorm for hours, thrilled at unlocking their next set of skills. Compared to them, Amelia was progressing admirably.
Still, Amelia hesitated. Her voice trembled as if she wanted to say something more, but she couldn't bring herself to.
Lucas noticed but didn't press. Instead, he encouraged her: "Keep working hard, Amelia. Believe in yourself. Don't compare your speed to mine."
The truth was, no one could compare to Lucas. His hidden SSS-class talent was the only one of its kind in the entire world. Even the strongest SS-class professions couldn't match his leveling pace, let alone Amelia, whose defensive role naturally progressed slower. The difference between them was simply too vast.
For Lucas, it wasn't about racing. It was about forging ahead, while supporting those around him as best as he could.
