A young girl in a hoodie walked through the woods, she had snuck out to explore the different portals which lead to different realms. Right now she was in vampire territory but she was not aware.

Raya's pov:
No one ever told me that this forest was so beautiful. Hmph! Yet my mother says I should stay away from this realm. Shit! I cursed, as I heard noise coming from the bushes, I thought it was some wild animal, but after waiting for a while, nothing came out so I went to have a look. Phew! I looked over and saw some men, they looked like guards, I noticed I was on some kind of short cliff. "What do we have here" I heard a voice say and internally cursed my luck. The strange man grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder and then called on his companions to get going. I yelled and made a fuss for him to put me down but he didn't , then one of men behind him said "shut up or we will make you" and that's when I notice his really long and sharp canines, no scratch that, fangs and the fact they all had rather pale skin, immediately it hit me *gasp* they were vampires. I internally panicked and prayed that they were not taking as their lunch. We walked for a while until they came to a town which we entered and stopped at the Palace gates, after the man carrying me talked to the guards at the gate they let us in and the man carrying me who apparently was known as Lex took me to the throne room and threw me on the ground and I huffed. Looking up I saw a man sitting on a throne and I identified him as their king, I was right because Lex then said "Sire, this fairy was found snooping around in the forest"." And why didn't you kill the person" the Vampire King asked. "It's a female Sire" Lex answered and immediately the man growled making me gulp but I tried to calm my heart so that he would not recognise that I was scared.
Finnick's pov:
Today was a really annoying day and this idiot was coming to annoy me farther. I knew just from the scent of whoever he was carrying that the person was a fairy and that was what ticked me off. They were supposed to kill trespassers and spies especially those from other species but yet the imbecile brought that person here."Sire this fairy was caught snooping around in the forest" he tells me. I know its a fairy moron I can tell from the scent. I thought, but I instead asked him why he didn't kill the person and his reply kinda shocked me "its a female Sire" he answered and I let out a growl which caused her heart rate to spike but she immediately calmed herself down. Hmm, She was trying not to show fear, and that made me smirk. Leave us I told the guard then I got up and walked towards her while she was struggling to calm her heartbeat. So... I drawled and took off the hood from her head and saw her tiara showing she was a princess, I asked her, What is the fairy princess doing spying in my territory? "I wasn't spying, I came here to explore the forest" she said and I chuckled. Weren't you told that this realm is dangerous, I asked and she said "I was but I'm not a child and I can take care of myself" and stubbornly raised her head, that's when I looked into her eyes and realised that she is my mate but she didn't notice anything so I decided to test her by saying really, but I'm sure your mother and your mate will be worried about you. "I don't have a mate" she stated. And why is that I said still poking at her, She hesitated before saying that fairies can't recognise their mates and that they would wait for the fairy godmother to tell them their mates on the day of the rose but if they were mated to another creature then their mate would recognise them.
Raya's pov:
"ButI'm sure that your mother and your mate will be worried about you" he said and I told him I don't have a mate. He then asked "and why is that" I was supposed to be annoyed that he was poking into my private life but instead I have this strange sense of comfort around him like as if I have known him for a long time. So I answered saying Faries can't identify their mates so we wait for the fairy godmother to reveal our mates to us but if someone has a mate who is another creature then the person will be able to recognise the fairy who is their mate."okay" was all he said not that I was expecting him to say anything but at the back of my mind I was hoping he would say something else. But after my mental dialogue with myself he said something that shocked me "Well if you like the forest that much then you can come again tomorrow. " Really, I said ecstatically and he nodded and said "this place can get really boring so if you come you can always come and meet me" okay, thank you. I said happily. I went home to meet my best friend who I had asked to cover for me and told her all that happened, I was so happy not only did I get to go to the forest again tomorrow but I also get to see Finnick, I felt a ease around him even though he was the ruthless vampire King.
