Chapter 13 - Saviour

Hunter asked with a hint of curiosity, "What reason?"

The girl looked down at the dagger in Hunter's hand, then shifted her gaze toward the phone. "When the time stopped," she said, "the screen of this phone suddenly lit up. It showed me two words written in white."

She glanced at the phone again before looking up into Hunter's eyes. "It said: Don't Move."

Hunter's whispered. "Don't move?"

She took a deep breath, as she said with a heavy voice filled with sorrow. "If it wasn't for this phone warning me ahead of time, I wouldn't have remained seated when Sorrowful killed my brother. And if I had moved... I would've died too."

Hunter looked at the phone with caution. Not wanting to continue on this topic, he then recalled another detail the girl had mentioned. "You said he sometimes talks to someone… alone, right? Who is it?"

The girl nodded. "Yes. One time, when I was going to ask Sorrowful about something, I heard noises coming from his room. I peeked inside and I found..."

Hunter pressed. "What did you find?"

The girl shuddered as she said in a low voice "Have you heard the rumor of an Evil Egg?"
