Chapter 35 - Payback Time

Null kept spewing the giant black flame as it was being sucked into the shield.

Suddenly, a tiny crack appeared on the ruby gem, and the knight was pushed back.

"It's going to break," Godlyreader warned.

But then, nothing happened. Null suddenly let out a loud, pained scream that travelled countless kilometres.

The Knight stepped aside. That's when they noticed.

A black portal had appeared there, and far away Null was kneeling. Another portal was around his left leg, which was badly hurt, it was almost torn off and lots of purple fluid was flowing out of it, creating a puddle below.

Forsell and Godlyreader looked to their side.

There, Supreme Angel looked at them and smiled.

"Seems like it works now."

Godlyreader sighed.

"So, what now?"

Forsell spoke in a resolute tone.

"Let's kill it."

Godlyreader and Supreme Angel nodded and stepped forward.

"It's payback time."

The former commanded the Black Knight, while the latter, nature itself.

The Black Knight raised its giant sword. All the energy from the shield was transferring to it, radiating a chilling power.

Supreme Angel commanded the winds. They turned insanely sharp, torrents gathering around him—like an unseen blade meant to tear the world apart.
