"I'm stopping here," Liam responded to Kiara with a tone of certainty. He didn't even look at her face, not even for a second, to see the discomfort on her face.
"But why? You shouldn't have offered the help if you're not going to see it to the end," Kiara said, sighing and cursing.
She reached for the doorknob, clicked it down, and swung the door open.
"Wait, don't go yet," said Liam as he reached for the door to close it back.
"Why? What happened?" Kiara questioned with a hint of irritation on her face.
She was somewhat angry at him, but she managed to maintain her composure. How could he stop her halfway to her destination and still refuse to let her walk away?
"Just don't go out yet; I will let you know when you should," Liam remarked, provoking her further.
"You're not serious," she cursed and angrily swung the door open. She wanted to grab the things he bought for her when a thought ran through her mind.
