That night, Andrew had sweet dreams, he saw himself in 3rd person view fighting alongside powerful allies against the endless beat tides, saving the planet, and ascending to god hood with damn near infinite women willing to do "explicit" activities…
Obviously that was just a by product of focusing on power, but his young mind couldnt help but imagine.
Upon awakening, Andrew was shaped like a pretzel in his bed, marking a good nights rest he hasnt had in a very long time.
He struggled to open his eyes, wiping the drool off his face, he checked the time and realized it was already 7:30, he needed to hurry up and get ready for school.
"I didnt have a nightmare last night for the first time in a while, that was sleep ive been needing since i got to this world." He thought, pulling himself up out of bed.
"But todays the day…. The day when everything will change for the better!" He muttered, with a flash of excitement in his eyes.
It didnt take long for him to feel rejuvenated after that thought.
He quickly threw on his clothes, made a light breakfast, and skipped his morning supplemental "liquid".
He wasnt gonna waste any time, as school started at 8:15 AM, wnd the batch awakening ceremony was set to happen around 8:30.
This was gonna determine how quickly he ascended to the top of humanity.
Finishing up, he quickly ran out the house with excitement he could not conceal.
The school was only about 2 miles from his home, in the same direction as the park which he passed on the way.
In his past life, he wouldve used a car, but nowadays this was almost unnecessary for anyone who properly cared for themselves.
Walking or running a few miles had become the norm, and as such the enviornment was a lot more clean in terms of air quality compared to his past life.
Along the way, when he was closing in on the school, he saw his childhood friend Dylan Chamberlain also hastily walking towards the school.
He lived quite a bit closer, coming from a wealthy family, he could take his time getting out of the house.
"Yo, whats up Dylan!" Andrew yelled once he caught sight of the unmistakable figure.
"Hey, whats going on bro! You ready for today? Are you excited to finally awaken your talent?" Dylan said with a teethy smile, as he clearly was very excited.
Dylan Chamberlain, hailing from a family of decent wealth for the area they grew up in. His father owned a business and his mom was always around to take care of him.
A stark comparison to Andrews own home life.
Dylan was only about 5'7" tall, however he had a muscular frame that was quite unordinary even in this new world.
He looked older that he shouldve been by about a decade, a strong jawline, a slightly ferocious gaze, and a figure shaped like a mini pecka.
Dirty blonde curly hair, blue eyes, quite the contast to his tanned skin from the many lavish vacations hed been on.
"Of course, how could y not be excited? This is an opportunity to change ones situation permanently in this world. I can already see the excitement all over your face." Andrew said to Dylan with a smile and a light laugh.
"In a world where strength determines trajectory, who couldnt be hopeful?" Andrew said looking slightly up towards the sky.
"Haha, your definitely right on that one. Im hoping i can awaken at least a level 3 low grade talent, it might not be anything too crazy but it would be enough to ascend past this fairly ordinary life." Dylan said laughing back.
Although Dylans family had decent financial standing, they were still just ordinary people.
They had poured many resources onto their child almost from birth in hopes that he would be the first one in their family to awaken a talent.
Andrew grinned, thinking in his head "Status" while directing his attention towards Dylan.
What he saw slightly suprised him, he knew his friend was gonna be extremely happy.

"I mean who knows, maybe youll get something unexpected…" Andrew followed with a smile.
He almost wanted to copy this one here and rhere, he suspected it would be one of the higher grade talents in his school.
However he knew patience was a virtue, and there would be time to see this fellow again after the awakening.
He also wasnt sure at this point if copying an unawakened talent would cause it to stay unawakened. He didnt quite want to take that chance, and the system would withold this kind of information.
After all, he had only just gotten the system. He suspected why he couldnt see the stats was also because of this reason.
[Correct, once you copy a talent, the general stats of others will become visible]
Andrew smiled, he knew it was only a matter of time.
Arriving at the school entrance, they walked inside the industrial modern looking building, where there was almost always a slight pressure.
They knew their full class of eligible candidate would be meeting in the auditorium, in order to knock out most of the people who were awakening in one swoop to save time.
Arriving into the auditorium, they quickly found a place to sit, and andrew started scanning the crowd for suitable candidates.
Dylan on the other hand, went to go try and talk up some girls. Maybe it was because of his aged apperance and bulky stature, but the girls all looked slightly uncomfortable.
"Or its just because he has no game whatsoever." Andrew thought, sighing watching this.
"First day of the new year started and he cant help himself already. Hopeless."
After waiting around for a few minutes, a few notable figures caught the attention of everyone as soon as they walked in, seemingly with no urgency.
A extremely beautiful, blonde hair girl at a stature just a bit taller than Andrews friend Dylan was the first to redirect the conversations.
"Oh my, thats that top student Maya Ronsworth…"
"Shes a top student with top grade looks, what kind of talent do you reckon she will awaken?"
"Who knows, with her icy demeanor, and her familys influential status as Qi Refining martial artists, it has to be something good…"
….
Conversations like this were happening everywhere, meanwhile Andrew took a quick look at her talent panel.
"Oh, shes quite interesting indeed…" he thought to himself, placing his hand on his chin as he inspected her with a smile.

As if to sense the gaze of Andrew, Maya threw a quick glance his way but continued on what she was doing, taking one of the front row seats designated for the top students.
Next to interrupt the flow was a taller student with oddly red hair. Not like a standard red head, his hair was a darker shade of orange similar to the color of fire.
Similarly, he was very blessed in terms of apperance, and equally as blessed in background in comparison to Maya.
This kids name was Ron Heisenberg, he had a fierce fiery gaze that made others hair stand upon making eye contact, but it was similar to a calm before the storm.
Similar conversations unfolded as to when Maya made her appearance. Andrew wasted no time to quickly check his talents to see if they were ripe for the picking.
Andrew was immediately somewhat shocked by what he saw, he was easily equally as impressive but with what he saw stirred his emotions a little bit
