Above the Gray Fog, within that magnificent and ancient palace.

Klein sat on the high-backed chair belonging to The Fool, holding the Creeping Hunger in his hand.

After devouring the flesh and soul of "Steel" Maveti, he did not choose to shepherd this soul. Instead, he brought it above the Gray Fog and released Maveti's soul.

In this space above the Gray Fog, he did not need additional preparations. He could directly perform spiritual communication with the power of the Gray Fog.

Klein stared at the soul before him, which was not yet too muddled as it had not been dead for long. He directly asked his question:

"Who is that important figure you mentioned?"

"Steel" Maveti's eyes showed a bewildered expression, then he shook his head slightly, muttering to himself as if in a dream:

"I don't know."

"I only know he is an important figure from the Rose School of Thought. The Captain once mentioned him, saying he was a descendant of the Pharaoh and one of the leaders of the Highland Resistance."

"What does he look like?"

Klein continued to ask.

"Steel" Maveti's expression suddenly became somewhat ferocious, as if Klein's question was something he could not, or would not, recall.

Something similar to a psychological cue? Klein pondered for a moment. As his thoughts flickered, wisps of Gray Fog spread out, coiling around Maveti's soul.

Maveti, who had still shown a hint of ferocity, suddenly quieted down. His expression returned to calm, reverting to that dream-like state from before:

"He wears a white robe inlaid with gold threads, his hair is light yellow and slightly curly, his eye sockets are sunken, and there are golden nails with intricate patterns on his lips, sealing his entire mouth."

Based on Maveti's description, Klein reconstructed a rough image of the important figure from the Rose School of Thought in his mind. This was a man with the mixed-blood appearance of the Northern and Southern continents, and he also seemed somewhat evil.

After a brief contemplation, Klein continued to ask:

"What happened on the Tree of Flesh and Blood?"

"Everyone disappeared, including the Captain. There were only severed limbs and flesh that couldn't be identified, as if it had undergone extreme loss of control and collapse."

"That important figure told me there were no signs of struggle or fighting on the ship. They seemed to have been solidified there, quietly losing control and collapsing, eventually turning into a mass of remains."

"The leader of the Rose School of Thought, the great 'Abomination,' Suah, also couldn't divine the specific reason. They suspected it might be related to the Abyss or a certain evil god."

As Maveti answered, his expression revealed clear fear, mixed with a hint of relief, grateful that he hadn't been on the Tree of Flesh and Blood at that time.

Hiss~ This version sounds much more terrifying than what the Hanged Man described. It seems Mr. Hanged Man doesn't have a talent for storytelling.

However, the Abyss, evil gods… The Golden Dream and the Death Announcer were just fighting in that sea area at the time. How come the Abyss and evil gods are all involved at once? It feels like the Death Announcer had its entire crew killed and then had to take the blame for someone else!

Thoughts floated in Klein's mind, then quickly suppressed. He continued to stare at Maveti's soul and ask:

"What does that important figure you mentioned want to do?"

"Steel" Maveti's soul struggled slightly, but quickly returned to calm. He spoke in a dream-like tone:

"Capture the crew of the Golden Dream, obtain information about the demigod who fought the King of Immortality, and investigate whether what happened on the Tree of Flesh and Blood is related to them or to the Death Announcer."

As expected, Klein nodded slightly, then asked:

"Where is that important figure?"

"I don't know."

"I only know he is staying in Bayam. He will appear when he wants to see me, or when I need to find him."

"Steel" Maveti seemed to be trapped in a nightmare. His voice became shaky, as if he might awaken from his dream-like state at any moment.

Klein frowned slightly, then mobilized more of the Gray Fog's power to maintain Maveti's state.

That important figure is most likely a Saint, or even an Angel. Hmm, the former is more likely. He left certain means on Maveti to prevent spiritual communication, and he might even be able to trace it back. If it weren't for Al's concealment, that important figure would have noticed and arrived as soon as I killed Maveti or was about to kill him. This also seems to indicate that the Prophet had anticipated all of this. Suddenly, I feel that the Reader pathway is quite Bugs Bunny in the later stages!

After a brief contemplation, he continued to ask:

"Are there others acting with you in Bayam? Who are they?"

This relates to how long "Steel" Maveti's Death Announcer can be concealed. If he has no companions, it will take at least three to five days for the important figure he mentioned to notice. But if he has companions acting with him, his Death Announcer might be noticed today, and then reported to that important figure.

A Saint, even if "Steel" Maveti's Death Announcer is concealed, it would still be easy to trace Danitz, who had been near the dock. And that would inevitably implicate me.

I hope this matter develops in a good direction!

While Klein's thoughts were turning, "Steel" Maveti had already answered the question in a dream-like manner:

"There's also my deputy, 'Blood Brambles' Hendry, the Blood Pirate Group's intelligence officer, Old Quinn, the calm Squall, and my crew members Radiya and Sman."

"Where are they?"

Klein continued to ask, simultaneously considering whether to eliminate all of them to delay the time until the important figure from the Rose School of Thought discovered the problem.

Forget it, the more I do, the more mistakes I make. Unless Al continues to provide cover, I might run into that important figure on the spot.

"In the Loen settlement in Bayam, the third garden villa from the end in the northwest corner."

"Steel" Maveti dreamily revealed one of their strongholds in Bayam.

Klein leaned back in his chair, pondering for a moment. He transformed the questions from the spiritual communication and Maveti's answers into a speck of light and cast it into the crimson star symbolizing the Tower.

Then he glanced at Maveti, whose Spirit Body had become somewhat ethereal and transparent, and let him naturally dissipate.

A moment later, at the original location of Maveti's Spirit Body, specks of fluorescent light converged into a mass, forming a pale ice crystal in the shape of a distorted human face, with wisps of black aura swirling around the ice crystal.

Klein directly enveloped it with a mass of Gray Fog, then threw it into the pile of sundries in the corner.

After doing all this, he materialized his usual citrine pendant, closed his eyes slightly, and softly chanted the divination phrase:

"I will encounter danger from that important figure!"

After silently repeating it seven times, he reopened his eyes and saw the citrine pendant in his hand rotating clockwise, with a small arc but very fast speed.

Klein frowned slightly. This was the first time he had encountered such a situation. This almost certainly means I will encounter danger from that important figure from the Rose School of Thought, but it should be within the scope of being affected, and the degree of danger is influenced by some unknown factor, making it impossible to determine?

Backlund, Hillston Borough.

Emlyn, as usual, left the Harvest Church in the evening and went to Baron Weymand's home to study Sanguine history with the Sanguine Baron.

As a long-lived species, even though Weymand was over two hundred years old, his appearance showed no signs of aging; instead, he looked like a mature man just past thirty.

He was dressed impeccably, like a gentleman at home, holding a brown pipe. He enjoyed the warmth of the fireplace while recounting Sanguine history to Emlyn.

After listening to the explanation, Emlyn casually ran a hand through his hair and asked offhandedly:

"Baron, I once read in a book about some history that seemed to be from the second epoch. There was a very famous city-state in it that I had no impression of, seemingly called 'The City of Silver'?"

Weymand showed a thoughtful expression, then said:

"No, at least in my memory, there was no the City of Silver before the Great Cataclysm."

Before Emlyn could be pleased, he continued to mutter to himself:

"But there was a Kingdom of Silver, originally ruled by the Giant King, and later belonged to that one."

Kingdom of Silver? That one? Emlyn pondered for a moment, then asked curiously:

"Baron, do you have more specific information? And who is that one?"

Weymand looked up at him, smiling as he recalled:

"The Kingdom of Silver was quite special. They did not directly worship the Giant King Aurmir, but rather His Queen, Omibella."

"As for that one, hehe, He is the Ancient Sun God, the Ancient Sun God who ended the era of the ancient gods!"

Emlyn did not hide the surprise in his eyes. He focused more on controlling his expression, not letting his emotions show too clearly.

He seemed to fall into thought, and after a while, he continued to ask:

"Baron, I've recently had the idea of compiling some basic potion knowledge into a book. If these books could sell well, I could also have a more stable source of income. Do you have any suggestions?"

Weymand looked at Emlyn with some surprise, seemingly astonished that he would ask such a question, then deliberated before speaking:

"You must understand one thing: in places without the faith of the God of Knowledge, such books are far less popular than novels and magazines."
