Night, in a hotel in Bayam's Dock District.
Klein lay on the hotel bed, pondering where to go after leaving Bayam, and unknowingly fell asleep.
In his dream, he arrived in front of a somewhat familiar high Tower. His originally somewhat bewildered eyes suddenly cleared, and he instantly woke up.
Am I dreaming? Is this from the Church of the Lord of Storms's investigation of Bayam? Or is it Will Auceptin? It should be the latter. The former requires the use of Mystical Items, and the Church of the Lord of Storms is not skilled in dreams.
As he pondered, the wooden door in front of him creaked open, and an empty baby carriage wobbled out from within.
Inside the baby carriage, there was only a silver-gray blanket, on which crooked Loen words were profusely written in blood:
"Wahhh~ Your friend stole my stuff!"
"He even stole something from an unborn baby, that's too much! That despicable, filthy, hateful little thief, burglar!"
"Those who hang out with Amon are indeed not good people! It's so embarrassing that Leodero, that guy whose body moves faster than his brain, didn't strike those two thieves dead and even let them escape with the Cathedral of Waves!"
Looking at the words on the blanket, Klein felt as if he saw a baby crying loudly in front of him, accusing him of his tragic experience.
"You know a lot..." Klein sighed softly.
Inside the baby carriage, on the silver-gray blanket, the blood-red words wriggled for a while and quickly formed new sentences:
"The little Die of Probability that has been with me for thousands of years is gone. If I wasn't already in Mama's belly, I would have almost risen from the dead to settle accounts with them."
Just by looking at these words, I can feel Will's immense resentment… Klein sighed inwardly, then comforted him:
"Look on the bright side, anyway, that Die of Probability couldn't be accommodated by you for thousands of years, so just pretend it never existed if it's lost."
On the silver-gray blanket, scarlet words, still with some undried bloodstains, wrote:
"Wahh~ Is that how you comfort people!"
"How about I go and ask him for you?" Klein said casually, a little helplessly.
As soon as he finished speaking, new writing appeared on the silver-gray blanket in the baby carriage:
"Good!"
"He's already here."
"Already here?" Klein asked in confusion, turning his head to look behind him, following his intuition.
Specks of brilliant starlight surged from outside the dream, directly crossing the dream's boundary and appearing beside him.
The starlight quickly converged into a mass, and Leyton's figure materialized from among the shimmering stars.
"Good evening~" He paused briefly on Klein, nodded slightly, and greeted him.
Then he looked at the baby carriage beside him. Inside the empty baby carriage was only a silver-gray blanket covered with sprawling Loen words:
"You shameless thief! You even take advantage of unborn children!"
"That's my Uniqueness! It's mine! Mine!"
"What did you do to the Die of Probability? I feel that opportunity has completely disappeared!"
"Wuwah~"
Leyton reached out and gently rubbed his forehead. He didn't know why, but even though he only saw some words, he felt as if Will Auceptin had been making a big fuss in front of him.
"Ahem~" He cleared his throat and said calmly:
"This matter is influenced by a higher level of Fate. The Die of Probability resisted, but failed, and my Wheel of Fortune card was also eaten by that dice."
"The Die of Probability is in my hands now, but it has undergone some subtle changes. I think if you want to accommodate it now, any time might be the right opportunity."
Inside the baby carriage, the words on the silver-gray blanket distorted for a while before reforming:
"After accommodating the current Die of Probability, will I still be me?"
Leyton held his left arm across his body and rubbed his chin with his right hand, saying in a deep, hoarse voice:
"As long as your luck is good enough, you can directly become the Key of Light in one step."
"Moreover, the Die of Probability has been by your side for thousands of years, and it has already begun to become active, yet you haven't found an opportunity to accommodate it. This already speaks to your luck."
"You shut up! Wuwah~"
The words appearing on the silver-gray blanket became very large and distorted, like a child throwing a tantrum.
Will Auceptin's reaction was somewhat unexpected by Leyton. He raised an eyebrow slightly as he looked at the empty baby carriage in front of him. It has already begun to restart, and there's no way to stop this process? So it can only communicate with me in this way?
As he pondered, he extended his right hand and, by manipulating the dream, directly materialized the Die of Probability in his hand. He held the Die of Probability in front of the baby carriage and said:
"Do you want to try your luck? As long as it gives you five or six points, I think you can still try to accommodate it."
New words quickly appeared on the silver-gray blanket inside the baby carriage:
"I'm just an unborn child!"
"Also, keep it away from me, not even in a dream!"
Leyton's outstretched hand stiffened for a moment, then he calmly withdrew it. After the materialized Die of Probability in his hand disappeared, he said casually:
"Anyway, you won't have a chance to accommodate the Die of Probability, so just sell it to me. How about I find an opportunity to snatch a Snake of Fate's characteristic for you later?"
"Okay, it's a deal. No lying to children!"
This time, the words appeared very quickly on the blanket, as if they were already prepared, not giving Leyton a chance to react. The words disappeared, and new ones immediately appeared:
"Long-term communication is not conducive to a baby's growth. I'm going back to Mama's belly to sleep. Also, don't forget your promise!"
As the Loen words appeared one by one, the baby carriage retreated directly into the high Tower. As the wooden door creaked shut, the dream shattered with a crash.
At the moment the dream shattered, thick, green vines suddenly shot up, covering the surrounding area like a downpour.
They intertwined and quickly formed a forest, layer upon layer, reaching so high that the top was invisible.
This space, composed of pea vines, temporarily replaced Klein's previous dream, keeping the two of them in place.
Klein looked around, then turned to Leyton and asked:
"Have you completely gotten rid of Amon?"
Leyton nodded gently, not questioning how Klein knew about the struggle between him and Amon. He gently rubbed his fingers, creating brilliant starlight, which instantly condensed into two high-backed chairs.
He leaned back leisurely in the starlight-condensed high-backed chair, his voice tinged with a hint of emotion:
"Sort of. He followed me into the Church of the God of Knowledge and Wisdom and was directly purged of all remaining Worms of Time by the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, leaving only that monocle to escape."
"Unfortunately, the Wheel of Fortune card I borrowed from Bernadette was swallowed by the Die of Probability, and I don't know where to find a new Card of Blasphemy to return to her."
"Uh, the Black Emperor card?" Klein tentatively asked.
Leyton chuckled and shook his head:
"No need. I'd rather find the Card of Blasphemy corresponding to the Demoness Pathway and return it to Bernadette."
To some extent, it's not without reason that you can get along with Amon, Klein silently grumbled to himself, then changed the subject:
"Is the 'Key of Light' the Sefirah corresponding to the Fate pathway? Did it corrupt that Die of Probability?"
Leyton nodded gently, his hands clasped as he mused:
"You could say it's corruption, or you could say it deepened the activation level of this Uniqueness."
"The feedback I received after investigating with the Eyes of Mystery Prying is that it is slowly adapting to this world, gradually bringing surrounding things under its control, manipulating their probabilities, and establishing some mysterious connection with the River of Fate."
"What will be the consequences? Can't it be directly sealed?"
Klein frowned slightly. An indescribable premonition surfaced in his heart; this matter seemed to have some connection with him as well.
Leyton chuckled and shook his head:
"The original Sealing method for the Die of Probability was to use specific Sealed Artifacts to isolate its connection with the Spirit World, Astral World, and the real world, or to repeatedly Seal Fate on a small scale to keep it in a dormant or quiet state."
"But now, its Beyonder characteristic has been further elevated. The former method is already very difficult to achieve. As for the latter, I don't know if it's effective, but only the Snake of Fate can do it."
"As for the consequences, if given enough time, it could influence the entire world, making all actions of all living beings determined by the points it rolls, of course, excluding deities."
"Simply put, it would digitize the entire world, but this would take a very long time. Even if the apocalypse comes, it might not be able to reach that point."
Klein lowered his eyes slightly, his voice deep and hoarse as he said, "This is already very dangerous."
"None of the items evolved from Uniqueness are not dangerous."
Leyton sighed softly, thinking of Trunsoest's Brass Book, which interfered with the underlying rules by establishing laws.
