When Frunziar was introduced, Audrey's voice became noticeably heavier. As a Loen noble, she had even stronger feelings for this soldier.
Leyton and the others followed Audrey's introduction and looked over. Snowman was a middle-aged man dressed in a plain white robe, his exposed skin covered in various scars.
Frunziar wore heavy, tough black full body armor and held a black straight sword that gleamed with a cold light. His black hair hung down, and his facial features were deep, showing clear Loen characteristics.
After the introduction of the people from the book world was complete, Audrey turned to introduce her own group, starting with Fors:
"We are companions who came together to explore this book world. This is Miss Magician, this is Mr. Tower, this is Mr. World, and this is Mr. Nightmare."
When introducing Leonard, Audrey hesitated for a moment, then temporarily used the codename Leyton had previously used for his Sequence.
Mobet, a Fourth Epoch noble, subconsciously looked at Leonard and said with some suspicion and vigilance:
"Nightmare? Are you all believers of the Evernight Goddess?"
Leyton's gaze lingered on this direct descendant of Pallez for a moment, then he chuckled and said:
"No, it's not particularly difficult to use Beyonder abilities from other Pathways."
Ignoring Mobet and the others' reactions, Leyton continued:
"We happen to have a member of the Sauron Zoroast Family here. Perhaps you can lament your experiences to him and seek some help."
As he spoke, he slightly turned his body and looked at Leonard, who had retreated some distance behind him.
Klein also looked at Leonard, a sense of vigilance instinctively rising in his heart. The angel from the Sauron Zoroast Family also entered the book world? Well, since Leonard came in, the Old Man parasitic on him must have followed. Is this why he brought Leonard into the book world?
"Sauron Zoroast Family? Him? Who is it?"
Mobet's tone suddenly became excited. He felt as if he had seen the dawn of escaping this book world.
Him? An angel is hidden among us? Audrey's eyes widened, her gaze sweeping back and forth over everyone with disbelief, finally stopping on Leonard, whom she was least familiar with. Is this Mr. Nightmare an angel?
"It's me ~" A somewhat aged voice suddenly sounded.
Mobet's expression suddenly became excited. This voice was very familiar to him, and his gaze went straight to the direction from which the voice came.
Leonard's expression froze slightly as a translucent, ethereal figure emerged from him. It was an old man with white hair and deep brown eyes that carried the weathered look of time.
His gaze towards Mobet held a hint of nostalgia and an unidentifiable sigh. After a moment of silence, he spoke in a deep voice:
"Long time no see, Mobet."
Mobet couldn't recover for a long time, just quietly looking at the suddenly appearing somewhat transparent and ethereal figure.
After a while, he spoke dazedly:
"Old man! I couldn't get any news about the Sauron Zoroast Family from the people who entered here later, and I thought you had already fallen in the War of the Four Emperors, after all, even His Majesty the Emperor fell in that war."
His voice gradually faded until it became silent. After a pause, he continued:
"Why did you also enter this book? Do you have a way to get out?"
"Hmm, it would be best if you could take me out too, and my companions."
As he spoke, he turned to point at the elf Siatas and the ascetic Snowman behind him.
Behind Mobet, everyone watched Pallez with burning eyes. After their long time together, they already knew of the existence of Mobet's great-grandfather, knowing that he was a Sequence 1 angel and their greatest hope for escaping this book world.
Pallez slowly shook his head at Mobet's expectant gaze, his voice hoarse as he said:
"No."
"If I were at my peak, I could naturally do these things, but now—"
"Roar ~" A huge roar, accompanied by wind and snow, came from mid-air.
"It's Ulyssan!"
The gray-blue giant Groselle dragged his exaggerated greatsword the size of a door panel, taking two steps forward, his gaze vigilantly watching the sky where wind and snow suddenly began to rage.
"When the story ends, you can naturally leave this book world, but—"
Pallez's aged voice echoed. Mobet's voice, unhurried and even somewhat leisurely, interrupted his subsequent words:
"Old man, this Northern King is just an ugly little lizard to you."
"Hmph! You've lived for over a thousand years, and you're still so immature."
Pallez glared annoyed at his great-grandson. His ethereal and flickering figure re-entered Leonard's body.
Mobet watched as Pallez returned to the stranger's body and immediately became anxious:
"Ah ~ Old man, aren't you going to help us deal with this ugly lizard?"
Boom! A huge roar came from high in the sky, as if the howling wind had been violently torn apart.
Leyton's eyes glowed with a deep blue light. Following his intuition, he looked up, his gaze piercing through layers of wind and snow, seeing the translucent figure high in the sky.
It was an ice-blue giant dragon, resembling a close relative of a lizard, with an ugly face, eerie blue eyes, and a thick, powerful tail. A pair of huge, leathery wings grew on its back; just a flap made the surrounding blizzard much more severe.
Its scales resembled ice crystals, shimmering with a translucent glow, the most beautiful and dreamlike part of its entire body.
"This is a giant dragon from the second epoch? It's a bit ugly, no wonder it can only be a villain in fairy tales."
Leyton sighed playfully, then turned and walked out, quickly passing the gray-blue giant Groselle.
In the biting blizzard, he leaned back, arms spread, as if embracing the Sun.
His spirituality surged and released, dyeing him a golden yellow, as dazzling as the midday Sun.
A magnificent, pure ray of sunlight pierced through the howling cold wind and falling snow in the sky, followed by more sunlight piercing through the clouds, forcibly twisting the surrounding weather and turning the blizzard into a clear summer day.
"Oh, so dazzling ~" Fors moaned, instinctively narrowing her eyes and simultaneously raising a hand to shield them.
Except for the giant Groselle and Leonard, who was possessed by Pallez, everyone else simultaneously narrowed their eyes and shielded themselves from the sunlight.
"Roar ~" The ice dragon circling in the sky roared.
With its sound, the wailing wind suddenly intensified, and the rising temperature around them dropped again.
Leyton retracted his outstretched arms, and as he dragged his right hand, an ancient-style long spear materialized, burning with clusters and specks of blood-red dark light from tip to hilt.
A strong sense of danger made Ulyssan, the Northern King, circling in mid-air, consider retreating.
It rapidly ascended, its huge leathery wings scattering a stream of ice-blue light as they flapped. This light instantly shattered, transforming into countless sparkling, translucent snowflakes.
As the wailing wind sounded, a terrifying blizzard swept through the air, simultaneously obscuring Ulyssan's massive figure.
Leyton completely ignored the renewed wind and snow in the air. His gaze was fixed on Ulyssan, and the dark red long spear held in his right hand was abruptly thrown.
It left a dark red, burning trail in the air, directly piercing through the wailing gale and sparkling snowflakes, striking Ulyssan, whose figure had already risen significantly.
Ouch ~
A roar, more like a wail, emanated from the blizzard, and a huge figure uncontrollably fell from the wind and snow.
