Chapter 412 - KWM Chapter 411 Tarot Club

The Hermit, Cattleya, looked at Hanged Man Alger with a probing gaze for a moment. He was indeed a Wind-Blessed at Sequence 6, but wasn't he a member of the Church of the Lord of Storms? Why would he seek a potion formula outside? At Sequence 5, very few potion formulas circulated.

She was silent for a moment, then nodded gently:

"I can help you keep an eye out."

Ocean Songster? Is that the name for Sequence 5 of the Sailor Pathway? Songster? A Beyonder good at singing? Audrey, who had some understanding of the Hanged Man's strength, began to guess the abilities of an Ocean Songster in her mind.

The Storm was once a power wielded by the Elf King. In the book world of Groselle's travels, there happened to be an Elf who didn't seem weak, most likely an Ocean Songster or a Wind-Blessed. As he thought, his gaze unconsciously fell on Leyton.

He didn't seem inclined to speak. Was that Elf merely a Wind-Blessed? Or was he planning to string the Hanged Man along for a while, making it easier to raise the price later?

That page of Roselle's diary just now mentioned the issue of mindset. Alger seems to be facing this problem now. His personality is somewhat erratic, like a struggle between divinity and humanity. I wonder if he has noticed it himself. I'll remind him when the gathering ends.

After a brief silence, The Hermit, Cattleya, turned her gaze to Azik. She pursed her lips slightly and said:

"Mr. Death, my advancement ritual requires a drop of mythical creature blood. I wonder if I can trade with you for it?"

Azik looked at Cattleya, not too surprised. He had noticed her repeated glances at him just now.

"Advancement ritual? If I'm not mistaken, this should be a requirement for a Mysticologist's ritual. Why don't you seek Queen Mystic? She should already be a Sage."

Cattleya lowered her head slightly, recalling the reply she received after writing to Bernadette earlier:

"Your fate is not with me. Wait a while longer, and you will have a better choice."

She took a deep breath and gently shook her head:

"She said my fate is not with her."

Her fate isn't with her? That sounds a bit like a charlatan... Magician Fors sighed inwardly.

The emotion in The Hermit's words just now was very strong, seemingly with a hint of grievance. Although she concealed it very well, her relationship with Queen Mystic was quite unusual. Justice Audrey tilted her head slightly, trying to see Cattleya's current expression more clearly.

"She's right. The Fate pathway is your best choice. This will lower the difficulty for you to become a Sequence 3 Clairvoyant in the future."

Leyton leaned back in his chair, his tone leisurely as he added.

"Fate pathway?" Cattleya pondered.

She opened her mouth, wanting to ask where she could find the blood of a Fate pathway Angel or mythical creature, but then suddenly froze.

Mr. Fool's honorific name includes the phrase "King of Yellow and Black Who Holds Good Luck." Mr. Fool also controls the authority of Fate... Can Mr. Fool provide mythical creature blood from the Fate pathway? Or does he have a Fate pathway Angel under him?

As her thoughts churned, Cattleya turned her gaze to Klein at the head of the mottled long table.

Justice Audrey and Hanged Man Alger, who had been paying attention to Cattleya, were first puzzled, but then quickly thought of Mr. Fool's honorific name and likewise turned their gaze to the figure at the very top.

Why are you all looking at me? I'm not a mythical creature. Klein's originally relaxed posture suddenly stiffened, and for a moment he didn't know how to respond.

The only Fate pathway I know of is Will Auceptin, and he's still an unborn baby! He just had his Uniqueness stolen; does he still have to be coveted for his blood now? Isn't that a bit too pitiful?

As thoughts floated through his mind, Klein suddenly relaxed. He tapped the edge of the table twice with his finger, and said in a leisurely voice:

"Heh, if you are willing to wait for a while, you can choose the blood of the Snake of Fate."

Snake of Fate? The one from the Life School of Thought? Or the Aurora Order? And why wait a while? Cattleya's mind was filled with swirling thoughts.

In just a moment, she collected her thoughts and bowed slightly towards the figure at the head of the mottled long table:

"Thank you, honored Mr. Fool. I am not lacking in time."

Justice Audrey sat in the high-backed chair, appearing to listen quietly, but her thoughts couldn't stop wandering.

Snake of Fate, I wonder if it's Sequence 1 or Sequence 2 of the Fate pathway. Most likely Sequence 1, as Sequence 2 wouldn't be enough to make Mr. Fool wait... Mysticologist should be Sequence 4 of The Hermit's Pathway. Is she about to become a demigod?

After Cattleya's request concluded, the others temporarily had no urgent needs, and everyone spontaneously entered the free exchange phase.

Everyone's gaze fell on Hanged Man Alger. In the previous Tarot Club gatherings, he would always mention one or two major events during the free exchange segment, so now everyone habitually looked at him first.

Noticing the gazes of the other Tarot Club members, Hanged Man Alger's mouth twitched slightly. With a strong sense of helplessness, he said:

"Everyone, I wonder if you've heard, another major incident occurred in the Church of the Lord of Storms, alarming the Lord of Storms, who directly unleashed divine punishment."

Divine punishment? I always feel that the Lord of Storms is a very volatile deity. His temper is as unpredictable as a storm at sea. Justice Audrey muttered in her heart.

"Divine punishment again? Who got struck this time?"

Moon Emlyn's words came out almost without thought.

That "again" was used very aptly. Klein sighed silently.

Hanged Man Alger's expression changed for a moment. Although he was talking about the Lord of Storms, he felt as if he had been offended by that Vampire.

He paused, then said in a low, hoarse voice:

"The Cathedral of Waves in Bayam was stolen by Amon!"

"Amon? He stole a cathedral?"

Audrey felt this news was a bit outrageous. Why would a King of Angels steal a cathedral?

"Why did he steal the cathedral?" Fors immediately asked the question in Audrey's mind. Hanged Man Alger did not respond.

"Did the Church of the Lord of Storms recover the cathedral?"

Cattleya also asked curiously. Judging by the recent actions of the Church of the Lord of Storms at sea, they most likely failed to recover the stolen cathedral.

"No."

"I don't know the exact details, only that he had an accomplice, and they took the Cathedral of Waves under the Lord of Storms' divine punishment."

Hanged Man Alger took a deep breath, and continued with an uncertain tone:

"It seems that someone among the Punishers within the Church of the Lord of Storms was parasitized by Amon."

This was information he had deduced himself. Recently, the Church of the Lord of Storms had been secretly investigating every church member, whether bishops, ordinary clergy, or even members like him who were outside the main organization, all had been subjected to some degree of investigation.

Given the personalities of those in the Church of the Lord of Storms, the sea won't be calm for a long time. The Hermit, Cattleya, sighed inwardly, then she carefully asked:

"The Amon you mentioned, do you mean the ancestor of the Amon Family from the Fourth Epoch Tudor Empire, the Creator's son?"

"Heh, there has only ever been one Amon. All the others are his avatars. He is the Amon Family!"

Klein, controlling his alternate account The World, answered Cattleya's question.

There's only one Amon, and he is an entire family? Cattleya was stunned for a moment, a chill running down her spine.

Everyone continued to discuss Amon and the stolen Cathedral of Waves for a while, until The Fool Klein announced the end of today's Tarot Club.
