The office on the top floor of the Tower of Justice had fallen into silence.
Everyone stared blankly at the man who had suddenly appeared.
Th-this guy is—
"Ouch..."
Having been launched through the air, with countless broken bones, Spandam's vitality was no different from a cockroach's. He continued to groan "ouch, ouch," his consciousness remarkably clear.
"Pain, that hurt like hell! Which idiot dares to cause trouble on Enies Lobby!"
Spandam yelled in agony, yet his tone was still full of arrogance. He was, after all, a privileged wastrel who had climbed the ranks by riding on his father's coattails.
"What are you all standing around for? Go and kill that bastard for me!"
But no one moved. Kumadori, Fukuro, Kalifa, Blueno, and the remaining members of CP9 were all frozen stiff. Simply looking at the newcomer, their backs were drenched in cold sweat.
It can't be, can it?
Why is this monster here?
"Hey! Kalifa! Kumadori, why are you still just standing there? Are my words completely ineffective now?"
Spandam slowly stood up, grimacing. As he angrily scolded them, he finally looked towards the intruder.
A thousand years passed in a single glance.
Spandam's body instantly locked up in the same rigor as the CP9 members. The sweat pouring from his forehead at that moment coalesced into a small stream.
"Ki-Ki-King, the Demon Scion!!"
In the next instant, Spandam's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as he shrieked, "Why are you here?!"
As a high-ranking official in the World Government's intelligence organization, though Spandam was a failure, he knew far more about the monster before him than ordinary people out on the sea.
He had followed behind Roa over twenty years ago, one of the earliest members of the Catastrophe Company. He had shown promise in his youth, with strength no less than that of the Admirals Akainu and Kizaru during that same period!
And now, twenty years later, he had grown into a true monster among monsters! Even Admiral Kizaru fell into a disadvantaged position when facing him!
"Too noisy."
King glanced at Spandam, flicking his finger lightly. A sharp gust of wind whistled past, and Spandam's head exploded like a watermelon.
"Run!!"
Blueno, whose hair resembled bull horns, finally reacted, slapping the air in front of him with his right hand.
The enemy before them was absolutely not someone they could contend with!
Let alone them, even if Lucci and the others had stayed behind, they would have been instantly killed upon meeting this super monster.
And that guy just called his name. Was he coming for him?
But why?
He had never dealt with the Catastrophe Company before!
But now was not the time to hesitate. Escape. He could only use his ability to escape now!
With a pop, Blueno slapped the air, creating a transparent, yet distinctly outlined, door made of air.
Behind this door was a strange, eerie green space.
If I can just escape inside... if I can just escape inside—
Gah!
Blueno's eyes widened abruptly.
Because a hand, a hand that looked forged from steel, had clamped around his neck.
"Looks like it's you."
King, who had approached at a speed none of the CP9 members could react to, held Blueno by the neck and tilted his head to look behind the air door.
It was indeed a spatial ability.
An ability to open an air door and enter an alternate dimension?
If this ability could be replicated enough times, it might indeed be useful for dealing with the Holy Knights.
Even if they couldn't capture them, his side could choose to retreat at any time.
Having caught Blueno, King had no intention of wasting words with the others and turned to leave.
But just at that moment, he saw the pale-faced Kalifa.
Hmm?
Boss might like this model.
And so, King, with a person grabbed in each hand, shot into the sky. In the air, the steel battleship floated quietly.
The instant King landed on the ship's deck, the heavy cannons beneath the ship opened fire.
With a roar, one massive cannonball after another slammed down towards Enies Lobby below.
Well, since I've come all this way, I should leave a gift, right?
A short time later, at a certain location atop the Red Line. There was a rough, newly constructed area, and surprisingly, this was the new Marine Headquarters.
To avoid a sudden attack from the pirates, the Marines who evacuated from New Marineford didn't dare to return to Base G-1, forced to find a safe place to hide.
It was quite ridiculous that the Marines, whose mission was to fight pirates, were now retreating in the face of them.
There was no choice. The power Roa displayed during the previous Battle of Mariejois was simply too astonishing.
If the Marine Headquarters remained openly visible, it would take that monster little time to destroy the entire base.
The high-ranking Marines had realized one thing: in this era where Roa and Im confronted each other, the essence of the world situation was a game of hide-and-seek.
Whoever was found first would be struck first.
Therefore, until Roa showed his hand, they had to remain well hidden.
And now, inside the extremely modest Fleet Admiral's office within this makeshift Marine base.
"What?"
Sengoku frowned. "Enies Lobby was destroyed? Why Enies Lobby?"
Was there anything about that island worth destroying?
Its only special feature was being CP9's base, but what did CP9 count for to the Pirate Alliance? Any moderately influential executive could sweep them aside.
Why?
Simply to retaliate for a minor setback in the West Blue?
But haven't the Sea Kings already started their actions?
Large parts of the West Blue and North Blue have been sealed off by the Sea Kings. The entire world is in a state of panic because of this.
However, on second thought, given Roa's petty nature, it seemed quite normal.
Sengoku ultimately just sighed.
There was no better solution than sighing.
The Marine fleet couldn't even enter the West Blue and North Blue right now.
Even the presence of an Admiral-level expert couldn't help. No matter how powerful an expert, they couldn't fight off attacks from the deep sea non-stop.
The Ancient Weapons truly were forces capable of destroying the world.
Sengoku scratched his head in frustration.
Damn it!
How can we possibly defeat that monster Roa!
In another part of this temporary base.
"Take this! Old Man Zephyr!!"
A boy wearing a Marine cap roared, lunging at Zephyr.
The boy's fists were wrapped in black Haki. Just a punch caused the air to groan under the strain.
But such an incomparably powerful punch was caught by a single hand.
Zephyr grabbed the boy's fist with his only remaining hand. "You're still far from good enough!!"
His voice was low and fierce, carrying an almost uncontrollable rage.
Then, his thick, powerful right leg swung directly into the boy's waist.
"Waaah!"
The boy immediately screamed, flying out in a mess, tumbling hard on the ground.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch! That hurt! Old Man Zephyr, you used too much force!!"
"Ugh!!"
Zephyr was startled, then sighed, a trace of apology on his face. "Sorry, Luffy. I was a bit too anxious."
This child was already quite remarkable.
He was only fifteen years old this year, but he had already mastered two types of Haki proficiently, and his Six Powers were incredibly refined. He was definitely a top expert among his peers.
Given time, he would undoubtedly become a pillar of the Navy.
But, there was no time.
The world had already devolved into chaos. The final battle could erupt at any moment.
There was no time left for this child to grow.
"Hehe, I know!"
The boy stood up, his face pale, but he wore a smile. "Old Man Zephyr, you're worried about that guy Roa, right!"
"Leave it to me!"
The boy thumped his chest, acting as if he was taking on the entire burden. "I'll be the one to punch that guy flying!"
Zephyr paused.
Then—
"Hahahaha! Then you need to work hard, kid!"
Regardless of the situation, his mood was certainly a little better.
A short time later, in the City of Catastrophe floating in the New World's sky.
When King brought Blueno and Kalifa to see Roa, Roa was lazily sunbathing on the ship's top deck.
A relaxed smile played on his lips.
He couldn't help but smile. The world was rapidly becoming a better place.
Having the Sea Kings seal off the West Blue and North Blue was an absolutely brilliant idea. The entire world was plunged into fear.
The concentration of dark energy between heaven and earth was increasing at a visible rate.
You would smile too, if you were in his place.
If you didn't smile, it could only be said that you suffered from severe depression.
"Boss, I brought the people back to you."
King tossed the two people, shackled with Seastone handcuffs, in front of Roa.
"Hmm, very good, King."
Roa sat up with a yawn, rubbing his eyes as he looked over the two people before him.
Hmm?
Two people?
His gaze swept past the bull-horned Blueno and focused on the curvaceous woman.
Kalifa?
Roa smirked. "King, what kind of person do you take me for?"
"My apologies, I acted on my own initiative,"
King bowed respectfully. "I just thought you might like her, Boss. If you don't, I'll deal with her immediately."
"Forget it,"
Roa looked reluctant. "Since she's already here, it wasn't easy getting her."
Who would like a tsundere office lady older sister in black silk stockings and fishnets, who always wore a look of disdain and constantly cried "sexual harassment"?
Mr. Roa certainly didn't.
He simply hated waste. Of course, he didn't have General Yuwen's spirit of sharing.
Blueno and Kalifa both looked up at the young man before them with fear and confusion.
A monster who could truly rival the World Government, the Great Demon King unprecedented in eight hundred years!
What would happen to them next?
"Hey, Blueno,"
Roa looked at Blueno. "Have you ever heard a saying?"
Blueno's heart was a mix of panic and terror. He just stared blankly at Roa, not daring to utter a word.
Then, he heard Roa say, "Bullheads must die."
"Gah!!"
In the next instant, Blueno's eyes were stained with a pitch-black color.
"Go deliver this one to Judge. Tell him to immediately start preparing to replicate this guy's ability."
Roa stretched languidly. "Hmm, but even before the replication is successful, this guy alone will be enough to have a good time with the Government."
"So, next, let's go kick those damn Holy Knights out of our territory,"
"It's been a few days since that guy Dragon started jumping up and down. Let's give him a sense of participation, too."
"Yes."
King nodded respectfully.
Only Kalifa looked utterly terrified.
He captured Blueno to deal with the Holy Knights?
What exactly does this man intend to do?
Just as Roa was officially preparing to launch his counterattack, on the coast of the Sabaody Archipelago.
"Old Man Rayleigh! Don't stop me!!"
The burly fish-man boy showed a mouthful of sharp teeth. He held a heavy axe in one hand. "I must go back to Fish-Man Island immediately and check on it!!"
"Calm down, Colon!"
Rayleigh stood in front of the boy. "I didn't say you can't go back, but it's too dangerous for you to go alone. Shanks and Robin are on their way. Once everyone is here, we'll go back together!"
"No!!"
The boy refused resolutely. "Something terrible must have happened on Fish-Man Island. I can't wait any longer!"
"But kid, what can you do by going back alone!"
Rayleigh understood Colon's urgency.
He was equally anxious; Gaban was his friend of several decades.
But Fish-Man Island was completely sealed off now. It surely wouldn't be safe there!
"I don't care!"
Black Haki suddenly spread across the double axes in the hands of young Colon. "Old Man Rayleigh! If you still intend to stop me, then do so with the sword in your hand!"
Off to the side, Shakky, who was quietly smoking a cigarette, slowly blew out a smoke ring. "In every era, young people are always so self-willed."
Rayleigh was silent for a moment.
It seemed he couldn't stop him. He couldn't really resort to swords against him, could he?
"Then let's go together!"
A hearty voice rang out.
Rayleigh looked back sharply.
Colon, even more surprised, lifted his head.
Two large ships were approaching on the sea.
"Brother Shanks! Sister Robin!"
"We made it just in time,"
On the deck of the Red Force, the red-haired man sighed in genuine relief. "Sorry to keep you waiting, Old Man Rayleigh!"
He had been rushing all the way, but that kid Colon was faster and he hadn't managed to catch up.
Luckily, Mr. Rayleigh was reliable.
"Let's go,"
On the other ship, the Perfume Yuda, Robin spoke with a solemn expression. "To Fish-Man Island."
"Let's see what happened to Old Man Gaban!"
The remnants of the Roger Pirates were also about to take action.
