Chapter 163 - 163. Medicinal Mist

Doctor Doolittle also entered the reception room of the iron mine with a medical kit.

"I didn't expect to see you here, Doctor Doolittle."

Doolittle was also surprised to see Rudolph: "This gentleman from the workhouse, I don't know your name yet."

  "Vanya."

"Hello, Mr. Vanya. I'm here to treat some miners I know."

Doctor Doolittle opened the medicine kit and waited for the miners he knew to come.

Rudolph saw two dust masks in the box.

After noticing Rudolph's gaze, Dr. Doolittle came to explain:

"For several years, I have been selling my dust masks to Thor Mining Company.

Working in the iron mine, it is easy to get lung disease, silicosis, tuberculosis, and even lung cancer due to various dusts.

If there is a dust mask, it will be much better. But unfortunately, for two or three years, the people of Thor Mining Company have always believed that these dust masks are useless.

They will directly dismiss the miners who are not working, anyway, there are many people who want to make money in the iron mine."

Rudolph understood: "Dust masks are an unnecessary burden for the iron mine, so they are not willing to pay, right?"

  "Yes."

Rudolph asked: "Dr. Doolittle, is the tuberculosis in the mine more serious now? The young people who have just entered the iron mine to work in the relief hospital have already contracted tuberculosis."

After sighing, Dr. Doolittle said: "Yes, it is very serious. I don't know if the mining company will take this matter seriously."

Rudolph left the reception room. There was nothing for him to do next, and he shouldn't stay any longer. He looked around and infected a few mice.

That night, Rudolf did not return to the orphanage, but hid in the rocks outside the iron mine. He always had a feeling that the tuberculosis was not easy to spread this time.

After nightfall, rats roamed around in the iron mine.

The iron mine has night shifts, and mining is still going on at night.

Miner Otto coughed as he went to his post. His job tonight was to be on duty in the ventilation room.

The surface iron ore in Gasai Town had been mined decades ago, and the mines mined now all needed to be dug and excavated. The mine needed ventilation, otherwise the workers could not stay there for long.

Otto entered the machine room and dozed off around the fan. Just listen to the sound of the fan. If the fan breaks down, the huge noise suddenly disappears, and you can quickly find out that the fan has a problem.

In Otto's hand, there was also a small sprayer, only as high as his palm, which was a medicine mist to relieve his sore throat.

As time went on, another person in the duty room also fell asleep.

Otto opened his eyes and came to the air inlet. The fan will continuously send the fresh air around the air inlet into the mine through the pipe. He raised the sprayer and sprayed a few wisps of medicine mist at the air inlet.

  A mouse saw it all.

What kind of medicine mist needs to be sent into the mine through the air duct?

An hour later, a figure appeared at the door of the duty room. He didn't knock on the door and went straight into the duty room.

Otto stood up from the chair: "Who are you?"

The man waved his cane and gently hit the back of the head of another person on duty, making him faint.

  "Give me your sprayer."

Otto's eyes flickered. How did this man find the sprayer?

Otto touched a shovel beside him and smashed it at Rudolf.

Rudolf's brow was stabbed with pain, and his sense of danger told him that someone could threaten his life.     Otto was just an ordinary sick man. His shovel was weak and could not threaten Rudolph at all.

Rudolph quickly retreated outside the house. He had just dodged to the side of the house when he heard the sound of a sharp object piercing the wooden door.

The silver light, if I was not mistaken, was nailed to the wooden door with a scalpel.

After Rudolph came outside, he was not panicked. It was safe here. At worst, he could spread his bat wings and fly away.

Two figures walked out from one side of the duty cabin.

"Dr. Doolittle, I didn't expect we would meet again."

The person next to Otto was Dr. Doolittle.

Doolittle was still holding his box in his hand. Obviously, his plan to sell dust masks failed again.

Doolittle was holding a scalpel lightly in his hand: "What are you going to do, Mr. Vanya?"

"I should be the one asking you this, Dr. Doolittle, what are you going to do? If I'm not mistaken, the thing that Otto sprayed into the air inlet is not a simple humidifier or something, right?"

"Vanya, I advise you not to meddle in other people's business. The affairs of the Thor Iron Mine are not something that an outsider like you should be involved in."

"You think too much. I don't care about your business at all. No matter what you do in the Thor family's iron mine, I won't even look at it. Even if you demolish the office building of the Thor Mining Company, I won't ask.

However, what you did affected the poorhouse.

There was a young man named Hadley in the poorhouse who had just started working in the iron mine when he contracted tuberculosis. Unfortunately, he passed the tuberculosis to other children in the poorhouse.

This affected me, so this is not meddling in other people's business. I suspect that tuberculosis is an infectious disease created by someone."

  Dr. Doolittle said coldly:

"The relief house is just a means for the Thor family to gain fame and reputation. They promote a little charity to cover up their greater evil.

Do you know how many people die of lung disease in the iron mine every year?

It is an exaggerated number of more than 50. If the Thor family had a little conscience and could provide better protection for their employees, there would not be so many poor people like Otto.

You are wrong. Tuberculosis is not an infectious disease created by me. I just made the already serious tuberculosis spread a little faster.

This matter must be so big that it affects the operation of the Thor Mining Company, and those senior executives will pay attention to it!

They can make profits from iron ore, but they cannot trample on the lives of miners!

In my opinion, alchemists are the most vicious apostles in the world. They can do anything for cheap raw materials!"

Dr. Doolittle glanced at Otto while speaking. These words were very useful to Otto.

Otto suddenly became excited and shouted to Rudolf:

"What do you know! This is our only chance, the only chance to negotiate with the top executives of Thor Mining! Only if we fight, the miners in the future will not die one by one because of lung disease!"

Otto coughed up blood because he was too excited.

Rudolph looked at the dark red blood in the dark night, and could not say much.

Someone was coming in the distance, and Rudolph just said:

"Heal Hadley and the children in the orphanage, otherwise, I will come to you, Doolittle."

Rudolph quickly disappeared in the rocks in the distance.

Doolittle looked at Rudolph's figure going away, thinking deeply.

Soon, as long as he relied on this epidemic to get promoted, he would not be afraid of anyone's threats.
