Chapter 192 - 192. Cooper's Savior

After Old Gray gave Rudolph a direction, Rudolph rushed to the wilderness.

In the sky, a group of owls were scattered to search for intelligence. Rudolph flew close to the ground, and the woods and hills below him quickly retreated. Even if he encountered scattered werewolves, he ignored them.

After flying for a while, Rudolph was a little confused. These werewolves seemed to be too many.

Not only were there more werewolves, but the druids were also more active. Those druids seemed to be planting trees outside the farm, which made Rudolph very curious. After picking up Cooper, Rudolph wanted to observe and see what kind of trees the druids were planting.

In a forest, a figure with vines wrapped around one hand and another person in the other arm was moving quickly in the forest like a swing.

A level 3 werewolf on the ground was accompanied by 4 or 5 level 2 werewolves, desperately chasing the two people on the tree trunk.

Cooper, clutched by the corpse of a Level 2 druid, fled for his life in a tree, his gaze fixed in despair on the intermittent appearance of a Level 3 werewolf behind him.

Werewolves possessed remarkable stamina. When hunting, packs often relied on prolonged pursuits to exhaust their prey, ultimately wearing them down to death. Cooper was that prey, and the Level 3 werewolf was incredibly patient.

Worse still, Cooper was being driven further and further from town by the werewolves. He was moving deeper into the wilderness, and the deeper he went, the more he felt the endless darkness around him.

The Level 2 druid could manipulate vines, which descended from the tree trunks one by one. The druid expertly maneuvered through them, carrying Cooper far into the distance.

How far the druid's corpse could run depended on the remaining zombie power within Cooper, and unfortunately, it was nearly depleted.

When he hit the ground, he would be torn apart by the wolves. Was this his fate?

Just as Cooper's despair grew, a dark figure suddenly flew past.

  An owl!

In that instant, Cooper pondered a great many things. An owl—how wonderful it would be if it were that man's owl.

However, I heard that man had fled Leman Town, and no one knew where he had gone.

Just when Cooper thought it couldn't be such a coincidence, this owl flew through the trees, following Cooper.

A normal owl would have vanished without a trace when a werewolf was around, but the owl overhead not only didn't go far, but it was clearly staring at Cooper below with its clumsy eyes.

A glimmer of hope ignited in Cooper's heart. Could it really be such a coincidence?

Could he really be the chosen one, someone always coming to his rescue at the perfect moment when he was on the verge of death?

But where was Rudolph? Cooper lowered his head and began to search for Rudolph.

Just as he did so, a low growl jolted him awake.

At some point, the Level 3 werewolf had leaped onto the tree trunk. From above, he pounced on Cooper.

On their own, zombies lack combat power, even inferior to wizards. Wizards lack magical weapons, but they still possess sorcery, and if wielded effectively, they can be formidable. Zombies can use sutures to replace the bodies of other apostles, but Cooper's heart still struggles with this approach, so his body remains the same as it was before.

Just as the Level 3 werewolf pounced, three Level 2 werewolves pounced from below.

Cooper felt a surge of despair. He knew his only Level 2 corpse, a Level 2 druid, was no match for these werewolves.

Just as Cooper, hoping for a glimmer of hope, mentally called out to Rudolph, his face suddenly illuminated by purple flames.

From the sky, several fireballs plummeted like meteorites.

If he counted correctly, Cooper saw eight, each as tall as a man.

The fireballs struck the werewolf with pinpoint accuracy.

The Level 2 werewolf was instantly engulfed by the fireballs. The purple flames were incredibly contagious, and in a flash, the Level 2 werewolf was bathed in a dazzling violet glow.

Of the eight fireballs, four were aimed at the Level 3 Werewolf.

His pupils glowed purple, knowing these fireballs were extremely dangerous.

Unable to focus on attacking the zombies, the Level 3 Werewolf suddenly twisted his body and swung his claw blades at the purple fireballs. Several shadowy claw blades struck the fireballs, scattering them.     Cooper was suddenly disappointed. These fireballs had no effect on a Level 3 werewolf?

But the Level 3 werewolf didn't see it that way.

The Split Purple Flame spell, besides the direct fireball attack, also had a secondary effect: creating poisonous smoke.

The claw blade phantoms were indeed powerful, but even after dispersing the fireballs, they couldn't prevent the poisonous smoke from spreading.

Almost instantly, the pale purple smoke enveloped everyone in the air.

A powerful toxin suddenly surged through the Level 3 werewolf's body, a toxin that even a Level 3 werewolf couldn't resist.

By the time the second wave of attacks landed, the Level 3 werewolf was completely defenseless.

Despair filled the Level 3 werewolf's eyes as he saw several phantom claw blades descend.

It couldn't be another Level 3 werewolf attacking him, so there was only one possibility... a wizard!

Considering the poisonous fire spell just now, it was a Scorpio wizard.

Under the paralyzing toxin, the Level 3 werewolf had little resistance.

A figure fell, and upon landing, its bat wings slightly retracted, and Rudolph gently stood on the ground.

Behind him, there was a level 3 werewolf that had also fallen, but the level 3 werewolf had been cut into 9 pieces.

The body parts fell to the ground one after another, thudding to the ground.

Cooper and his zombie druid also breathed a sigh of relief. In a moment of carelessness, they both fell heavily to the ground.

Rudolph looked at Cooper while straightening his slightly wrinkled clothes.

Compared to the elegant Rudolph, Cooper was much more embarrassed.

Cooper's clothes were torn, revealing the seams on his abdomen. It can be seen that he must have suffered a serious injury before.

Rudolph shook his head and said to Cooper, "Cooper, you shouldn't have touched this female druid."

Cooper knew that if people knew he had turned a female druid elder into a zombie, he would be wanted. He quickly explained,

"I didn't kill her! She died at the hands of a werewolf, and I secretly turned her into a zombie after her death. My collection has suffered too much loss, and I had no choice.

And, Rudolph, you are an exposed wizard, why are you still bothering me about the three chosen apostles?"

  Rudolph shook his head,

"You are mistaken, I am not bothering you about the three chosen apostles.

I mean... I didn't expect that you, Cooper, with your thick eyebrows and big eyes, would find a female druid as a companion, and a druid zombie at that..."

Rudolph raised his chin and pointed at the female druid.

Druids' clothes are very few. Male druids usually only wear a skirt, and female druids wear a tube top on top of that.

Cooper's female druid appeared to be in her twenties, but her clothes had completely vanished, leaving her face and skin as freshly deceased.

"This is indecent, this is indecent... Are all your zombies' games this harsh?"

Cooper observed the druid and suddenly understood what Rudolph was talking about.

"Rudolph! Slander! You slander me! I'm going to kill you!"
