The library was quiet.
Su Yu and Yukinoshita Yukino sat side by side, reading their books.
For some time now, the younger Miss Yukinoshita had been busy with work, with no time to sit down quietly and read.
So, she had suggested coming to the library.
Naturally, Su Yu agreed.
They ended up sitting there for two hours straight.
Yukinoshita Yukino lifted her head and glanced at Su Yu, who was completely absorbed in his book. A soft smile appeared on her face.
"What is it?" Sensing Yukino's gaze, Su Yu looked up at her.
"It feels like we've gone back to the old days," Yukino said softly.
"Back then, when I read, I'd occasionally look at your face…"
"But now, it feels like all your attention is on the book."
Hearing this, Su Yu reached out and held Yukino's hand.
"I used to look at you because I admired you, afraid I'd miss even a second of it. But now, you're in my eyes, in my heart — you're everywhere."
"Y-You say that to other girls too, don't you?" Yukino turned away, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"No other girl could sit quietly and read with me like this." Su Yu shook his head.
"I… I thought you might find it boring," Yukino mumbled.
"Anything I do with you feels like happiness," Su Yu said as he kissed the back of her hand lightly.
"If you love me that much, then why do you still like other girls?" Yukino's voice carried a trace of quiet resentment.
"…That's my fault," Su Yu admitted with a sigh.
"Just… put me first." Yukino leaned in and whispered into his ear.
——
After leaving the library,
They had lunch at a restaurant.
For the afternoon, Su Yu was in charge of planning.
He brought Yukino to a game arcade.
This arcade had a wide variety of games — mostly competitive and co-op.
When physical stamina wasn't a factor, Yukino could handle anything with ease.
So naturally, she was just as capable when it came to games.
Su Yu lost to her several times before finally remembering a combo sequence and managing to win once.
In the co-op games,
The two of them worked together seamlessly.
Su Yu always let Yukino take the lead.
He made sure she fully enjoyed herself.
After finishing their final game,
Yukino leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"That's your reward."
"Then let me give you one too."
Su Yu pulled her into his arms and kissed her deeply.
Several minutes later,
He lifted his head and looked down at a bashful Yukino still in his embrace.
——
At the movie theater,
As Su Yu watched the animated film on screen, a name came to mind.
Or rather, a whole series.
This series was famous for having scenes that were beautiful enough to be used as wallpapers.
"If Flash Animation had the courage to invest, maybe they could make an animated film like this too?" Su Yu thought to himself.
In truth, producing a TV anime series costs significantly more than a movie.
Why then, do studios prefer making series instead of movies?
It's simple — it's much harder to recoup costs with a movie than with a series.
A truly great animated film is something you might only see once in a decade.
Flash Animation had never made an animated film, but they had done many theatrical anime releases.
And those theatrical releases had been high quality.
However, a TV anime series is not the same as a film — the details differ greatly.
If they really wanted to make an animated movie, people like Shinoyohara and Tamura Wakaka would need to do some serious research.
Su Yu decided he would ask them about it before giving it more thought.
——
When the movie ended,
The two of them walked out of the theater.
"You seemed a little distracted. Were you thinking about something?" Yukino looked at Su Yu.
"I was thinking about animated movies," he replied.
"They're not the same as regular anime. Even though they seem similar to theatrical episodes, they're different in many ways — the art style, overall visual impact, and the storytelling…"
Yukino continued softly.
Su Yu didn't interrupt, simply holding her hand as they entered a nearby café.
After placing their order,
Yukino continued sharing her insights.
When she finally finished,
Su Yu spoke up.
"No wonder they call you Little Yukino — you really know your stuff."
"You know all this too. And with your amazing memory, you probably know even more than I do," Yukino replied, rolling her eyes at him.
"Knowing a lot doesn't mean I understand it. You've clearly read a lot of books on animated films, haven't you?" Su Yu smiled.
"I've just read a few interviews with anime film directors. Their views on animation films differ from what Director Tamura taught me," Yukino nodded.
"The animated film I want to make would need a top-tier team to bring the visuals to life and a story that's truly satisfying," Su Yu said thoughtfully.
"Then you should talk to Director Shinoya. He's worked on a lot of theatrical anime," Yukino suggested.
Su Yu nodded but didn't call immediately.
It was still just an idea.
There'd be time to revisit the subject later when the opportunity came.
Even if the movie bombed at the box office, they could always stream it online.
——
As the sun set,
Su Yu and Yukino returned to their apartment.
They were carrying groceries and ingredients for baking a cake.
Yukino intended to bake it herself.
Her cooking skills could definitely be trusted.
Once they got home,
Su Yu wanted to help with dinner, but Yukino pushed him out of the kitchen.
All he could do was lie on the sofa, reading manga as he waited for dinner.
An hour later,
Dinner was ready — and the doorbell rang.
Su Yu walked over and opened the door… to find Yukinoshita Haruno standing there.
He was stunned.
"Little Yukino invited me over," Haruno said with a playful smile.
Su Yu turned to look at Yukino.
She blushed slightly and lowered her head.
In that moment, Su Yu understood — his expression turned complicated.
"This might be the first time you've actually invited me to dinner," Haruno said as she took off her shoes.
"You always come without asking. I never get the chance to invite you," Yukino replied as she looked at her sister.
"Is that so? I used to have too much free time — I just couldn't help but drop by to check on you. But now that I've taken over Yukinoshita Construction, I don't have the time to bother you and Su Yu anymore," Haruno said, slipping past Su Yu into the apartment.
"If you have time, you're welcome to come by more often," Yukino said after a moment of silence.
"You won't mind interrupting your alone time with Su Yu?" Haruno asked with a meaningful look as she reached the dining table.
"N-No… I won't." Yukino glanced over at Su Yu, her face turning even redder.
