The girls consisting of Mio, Regina, Lydia, Gwen, Yuki, Rem and Marallda were walking on the quiet city streets, the sky was clear with the clouds floating around the air, Yuki muttered "Wow, it's surprisingly quiet today. And the vibes actually feel nice." Lydia responded "Well, we did finish the first part of our assassination exam, so it's only natural if everything around us feel bright and quiet after nearly killing each other in mini death battles.". Marallda replied "I can actually get use to this", Gwen replied "Same here. It's not every time you get to enjoy a peaceful environment like this.". Rem just chuckled "Yeah, yeah. Im just glad i get too sleep all week. I might have lost, but atleast i can rest easy.", Regina and Mio were quiet while the girls were conversing with each other. Regina muttered "I wonder how the boys are doing.", Yuki replied "More like what are they doing.". Gwen waved her hand and explained "Knowing them, they are probably goofing around as a form of entertainment.", Rem almost laughed with a teasing smirk "The way you said it sounded like as if they are actually goofing around.". Yuki then explained "Well they are boys, so It makes sense if they actually did stupid things once in a while, especially Kazuma!", all the other girls said out in agreement except Mio and Regina "Yes! Especially Kazuma.", Regina smirked in a teasing manner while Mio started to blush. Yuki then looked back at Mio and Regina "By the way, you two have been quiet. Is anything bothering you?". Regina was a bit stunned "Oh, me? Nah, I'm fine. My mind's just wondering.", she turned to Mio "You okay, Mio?", Mio replied with a tired but saddened tone "Nothing's really bothering me. But you see, all this competition is somewhat annoying in a way. I wouldn't say it's entirely annoying, but I guess I'm tired of this fighting stuff.". Regina looked up at the blue sky "Yeah, I mean... I understand where you're coming from. But at the same time, what choice do we have? I know it's kind of stupid for people to fight for no logical reasoning. I mean the reason why I fight is because I'm ordered too or because someone's trying to take something important from me. If there isn't any reason to fight at the moment, then it's kind of stupid. But still, we don't have any other choice, do we?". Lydia took a sigh after listening to Regina and Mio "Ahhh, this is turning into some kind of sap fest already. Who cares about a reason to fight? Just fight if the situation calls for it. It's not that hard. I understand you don't want to be reckless just because you feel stronger than your opponents, but people tend to take advantage of that mind set and then try to push you over, it's kind if crapy.", Marallda cut in "Look, can we talk about something else? And plus, if you're going to talk about a topic as sappy as this, at least let's go somewhere else more quiet.", Gwen, Mio, Rem and Regina muttered "Fair point.", Yuki thought to herself "Well, i guess we can do that.". A few moments later while the girls were sitting in a quiet park with soft grass on the floor, Gwen looked around "Wow, this place is surprisingly chill.", Rem asked "Since when where you a fan of quiet places so much?", Gwen replied "Shut up!". Regina sat on the soft grass while Mio layed on the grass "Ahhhh! This grass is soft.", Mio exclaimed, Regina replied while feeling the ground "I know, right?", Gwen then asked "What where we talking about again?", the rest of the girls replied "Don't know.". A few moments had passed without them saying anything, they were just trying to enjoy their quiet surroundings, Marallda then explained "We were all talking about reasons to fight earlier. As for me, I think our reasons to fight is just to protect what's important to us. I mean if someone were to steal or destroy something important to you, your only option is to take back what you lost, or fight back and destroy the people who took that important thing from you.". Gwen replied "... Yeah, that's a good point. But even the people who steal and destroy from others have things they want to protect too. The only difference between them and the people they stole from is the fact that they were willing to go the greedy route to protect what they want.", Mio kept quiet before she replied Gwen "You have a point, Gwen. You can't be a pushover, you have to fight back when you're threatened. But still, if there's another option rather than fighting, then why don't we use it more often?", Regina then explained "Because that's not how the world around us works. Yeah, there are smarter ways to avoid conflict, but at some point, those smart ways wouldn't amount to much when you don't have the power to back up the plan. It's like knowing how to fix a broken toy, but not having the arms to do it.", all the other girls stared at Regina with shock and amazement. Regina asked while being a bit wierded out "Why you all looking at me like that?", Gwen replied "Its the fact that, what you said made perfect sense. Not just that, but it sounded matured", Mio then asked "Regina, are you a person living a second life?", Lydia also joined into Mio's question "Are you some kind of isekai character who's been summoned to our world by death?", Regina replied with annoyance "No im not an isekai character! And no I'm not living a second life!". Lydia returned to her casual attitude along side the rest of the girls "Kinda sounds like it.", Rem teased "It definitely did tho.", Regina yelled "NO IT DIDN'T!". Lydia just took a sigh and explained "All this reason to fight thing isn't something to think too much about. At the end of the day, it's whatever our system tells us to do that we'll do. Good or bad doesn't exist at battle field. Its one side that wants to dominate vs another side that doesn't like the idea of being the losers. At the end, we're just humans fucking around with each other.", Rem then explained "Well, if there is no point in fighting and obliterating things, then i dont think we should do it.". Yuki wasn't saying anything, if anything at all, she was the one observing everyone's answers, Yuki thought to herself "I haven't really given my reasons for fighting much thought at all. All I do is eat and tear apart anything that gets in the way. I don't really feel much when I actually kill someone. To me, the person in the way is the enemy, and whether we are the good guys or not, we are still to achieve our objective at the moment. I guess we people are just greedy at the end of it all. But It doesn't matter, when it's time to fight, then It's time to fight.". Yuki took a lazy sigh "I'm hungry, let's go eat something already.", Mio stood up and walked off "Yeah, I'm hungry too.", Regina followed after her "I'm coming along.", Lydia went along with them "Don't forget me.". Marallda and Gwen stood up and followed "Right behind you.", Rem followed as well "Wait for me.". Yuki looked at them before smiling and going along with them "Don't leave me behind", she said out. Lydia replied "Then walk faster, you short stak.", Yuki replied "Whatever.". Rem then teased her "Yuki, now that I think of it, you really are short!" "DONT BRING MY HEIGHT INTO THIS!", she yelled while the rest of the girls laughed. Mio looked at the clear blue sky "Please, this happiness, this warm feeling.... Let this feeling last forever!".
