The next day, Kito and Reggie were sparring In a training filed, Kito and Reggie were blitzing all over the place while dishing out intense blows and kicks at each other. Kito was throwing all sorts of kicks at Reggie, Reggie on the other hand was blocking everything Kito threw at him. As they kept on fighting, Reggie didn't say a word, he had a straight face like he was analysing something, Kito on the other hand struggled to land kicks on him "He's faster than before!", he thought to himself with a look of struggle on his face. Kito jumped into the air and stretched out his arm "ICE TECHNIQUE: WAVE STORM!", he called out the name of his technique. Suddenly, a huge burst of ice and cold blasted out of Kito's hand and unto Reggie, Reggie didn't have much facial expressions, he just ran out of the way with a sudden burst of speed. He was running and avoiding all of Kito's stormy ice, Reggie was showcasing great skill while dodging the huge wave of ice he student sent at him. Kito thought to himself "What the hell.? It's like he's playing serious!". Reggie then appeared behind him while Kito was still in the air, Kito was shocked as he turned back and saw his teacher ready to shoot a beam of energy at him. Kito quickly used his ice based abilities to make a field around him, Reggie's punch sent Kito straight to the ground. Debries were flying all over the place, Kito jumped out of the smoke and saw Reggie falling down towards him with insane levels of speed. Kito quickly jumped out of the way, Reggie ended up crashing into the ground. Kito jumped backwards "What the... why's sensei so serious all of a sudden?", Reggie jumped of the smoke caused by his crash and went straight after Kito. Kito was shocked to see how serious Reggie was with the training, Kito started to block everyone of Reggie's blows and kicks as they both engaged in an intense hand to hand combat. Reggie said to Kito "You're wavering. Put in more force!", Kito replied as he struggled to keep up with his teacher "I KNOW! YOURE JUST PUTTING TO MUCH FORCE!", Kito yelled in response. Reggie replied with his eyes serious and a firm tone "The enemy won't care if your hands can't keep up, they'd snatch your heart out the moment they realise you're weaker than them!", Kito yelled In annoyance with flames rotating all over his arm "I KNOW!", but before he could blast his attack of flames, Reggie had speed blitzed Kito by appearing right infront of him. Kito was in utter shock "UH!", he exclaimed, a mechanical spear that was yellow and grey in colour appeared on his palm, he was ready to stab Kito with it, Kito sensed the danger and immediately blasted his attack of flames at Reggie, although he missed. The flames that Kito had shot only missed Reggie by a hair, but Reggie's spike was pointed at Kito. Kito felt shocked "This is the first time that I've had chills in Reggie's training! Come to think of it, he's never shown me his ability. Is that robotic like rod some kind of ability?", he thought to himself. Reggie had a straight but serious look on his face, his robotic spike of a weapon dissappeared. Reggie took a sigh and came into his usual tone with Kito "You need lots of more training, Kito. Your skills and techniques are good, but your physical strength needs more work.", Kito yelled at his teacher out of annoyance "YOU'RE THE ONE USING MORE FORCE THAN USUAL YOU OVERPOWERED WORKING DISASTER!", Reggie just took a sigh and waved his arms separately "Lets take a break.". A few moments later, Kito and Reggie were sitting on the bare grass, the wind was blowing on them, both teacher and student were quiet, Reggie asked "So, how was your elimination roun", Kito replied "Well, I rather forget about it. I'm not in the mood to talk about something that's done and dusted." Reggie sighed and replied Kito with lazy annoyance "You really are a lazy brat.", Kito replied while being slightly annoyed "Don't lecture me about laziness!", Reggie then turned to his front "Either way, I watched the fight, it was being recorded. You fought against Volt.", Kito then asked "So?". Reggie replied "You did great. You matched him in speed, strength and in madness. Not just that, but you were extremely tactical while being a powerhouse. Most people make the mistake of being tactical and then forget about the power aspect to back them up. Others make the mistake of being incredibly powerful but forgetting common sense. You don't make either of those mistakes.". Kito sighed and muttered to himself "All of a sudden, the guy becomes all sincere and crap.", Reggie also explained "Not just you, but Rem and Baroka are very strong as well. I wished you all made it passed the elimination round.", Kito turned to Reggie and asked "Wait, Rem failed? Who was her opponent?", Reggie replied "Mio was.", Kito had a bummed look on his face "Understandable.". Reggie turned to Kito with a smile and a fist bump "All in all, you all are great, I couldn't ask for a better set of students. Especially you, Kito.", Reggie got up and waved as he walked away "I'll see you next time. Take care.", Kito smiled and looked at the sky "Well, whatever. I'll keep getting stronger.". On a Sunday night, Kazuma was playing video games on his bed, White and Baroka had come to visit him "So, the gladiator match starts tomorrow, huh.", Kazuma replied "Yup, it's going to be nothing but insanity.", Baroka stretched "Hm, well, not my problem. I lost in the elimination rounds, so that means I don't have to prepare for much at all.", White turned to Baroka with a wierd but shocking frown "That kind of mindset can get you killed tho.", he turned to Kazuma "Hey, Kazuma. Where's Yuji?", Kazuma replied "Yuji? He went home, he said he wanted to stay home for the night.", White replied "Makes sense.". Kazuma then asked "Baroka, Where's Kito?", Baroka replied "He's mostly likely at home, I'll text him and Rem once I get home.". White then got up from the bunk bed he was sitted on "Well, I'll see you guys tommorow. They've sent out our stadiums, so all we need to do is do some mild training, wake up and then head there.". Baroka stopped resting on the wall and stood up straight "Well, I'm heading home too. Good luck with your elimination round tommorow, Kazuma.", Kazuma replied "Yeah, you better come watch me.", White and Baroka left the room and went out of the boarding house for the night. Kazuma muttered to himself as he paused his video game and looked at the ceiling for a few moments "I'm the only one in the boarding house today, huh? Well, that's good for me. A little down time isn't bad at all.".
