Chapter 252 - 252: Gains from the System

The System's information was substantial, starting with its functions.

Most were destroyed, leaving only theoretical seeds.

Two remained intact: Traversal and Positioning. Traversal covered three common transmigration methods—reincarnation, soul transfer, and body transfer. The costly soul and body transfers were reduced to theories, but reincarnation, the least draining, was fully preserved.

Positioning was simpler.

It located a world's coordinates, generating comprehensible code via a concise algorithm.

But this algorithm touched five-dimensional space, so Reisen Riou could use it but not grasp its underlying knowledge.

Other residue data was meant for future hosts or entities picking up the broken System.

It detailed the Irminsul Multiverse.

The multiverse had two titans: the Imaginary Tree and the Quantum Sea.

Spiraling in opposition, they fueled the Irminsul Multiverse's conflict, contradiction, and strife.

Teyvat was unique, sealed by the Primordial One's eggshell, shielding its starry skies from the void's chaos.

This gave Teyvat a period of peace.

But even the Primordial One, Phanes, Teyvat's creator, wasn't top-tier in the Irminsul system.

It hadn't been long, yet Teyvat faced multiple extraplanar invasions.

The System had been bold, aiming big with a body-transfer entry into the high-risk, high-danger Irminsul system.

Bad choice, though—Teyvat wasn't kind to body-transferred mortals.

With these two abilities, a System core wouldn't trap its host in a single world.

Its crisis response was impressive.

The preserved knowledge was useful, but now Reisen, the former host's reincarnation, had claimed it all.

Reisen opened his eyes to Makoto's concerned gaze.

After a moment's thought, he shared his gains with her. They were family, nothing to hide.

Makoto and Saiguu listened, eyes gleaming.

Reisen stepped out of the pocket dimension, frowning.

Ignoring Ei and the Shogun, he flashed to the top of Tenshukaku.

A towering aura surged skyward, thunderbolts linking heaven and earth.

A golden Fate Star descended.

"Sixth Fate Star: Chaos-Demon Slayer."

Vitality: LV80+ → LV85+

Fate Star Abilities: +60% Electro damage, +5% crit rate, enhanced divination, enhanced stealth, enhanced Overlord Body, reduced skill wind-up, reduced skill recovery.

Beyond the first two, abilities could grow by slaying demons.

Reisen cared less about the abilities and more about the name.

"Celestia's noticed me, huh," he muttered, frowning.

Before today, his sixth star was just Demon Slayer, boosting Electro control and weak-point detection—Electro damage and crit rate in plain terms.

But exiting the dimension, it became Chaos-Demon Slayer, with vague, new abilities.

Expected, though.

Reisen nodded to Ei, who'd rushed over, and pulled his usual weapon from his Vision's space, tossing the Vision to her.

Ei didn't move, but the Shogun did.

"Vision Hunt!" The Shogun waved, and Reisen felt a wave of weakness. His aura and vitality dropped from LV85+ to LV83.

Something felt missing in his heart.

Reisen laughed silently, his body erupting in Miasmic Grand Fog.

The sense of loss vanished.

"Petty erosion, saw it coming," he said softly.

Before the Black Beast Tide, Reisen and Ei had discussed in the Testing Ground Dimension why no mortal in Teyvat exceeded LV90.

They found no answer then, but after the Tide, studying Inazuma's LV80+ elites, they concluded Visions were the issue.

Visions helped early on but became shackles later. Even pure beasts, like the Seven Elemental Dragon Kings with their crowns, could hit LV100+ and rival the Sustainer or full-powered Archons.

No reason mortals or youkai couldn't break LV90+.

Thus, they agreed: when Reisen hit LV80+, Ei would seal his Vision with the Vision Hunt Decree.

Sure enough, without it, his vitality barely dipped.

Instead, his once-distinct Fate Stars began linking within, forming something like an Authority.

The moment it formed, Ei and the Shogun thought Reisen was ascending to Archonhood.

Then, snap—it stopped.

"What're you staring at?" Reisen asked, puzzled by their odd looks.

"Something feel off?" Ei asked.

"Nope. Bit weak, but I've never felt better," Reisen said. "My resonance with Electro and Geo is sharper, more precise."

"Maybe…" He clenched his fists. A thunder spear appeared in his left hand, a Geo shield in his right. He flowed into a Sumeru-style spear-shield combat dance.

Then he showcased various techniques, their core control noticeably smoother.

"Congrats," Ei said, pulling him into a hug. The Shogun, holding the Vision, watched with envy but stayed back.

Reisen, Ei, and the Shogun exchanged quiet words. Leaving the Shogun to handle duties, Reisen and Ei returned to the Testing Ground Dimension.
