"Is it okay for me to tell my parents what's going on here?" Clark asked.

Charles nodded, a warm smile on his face. "Of course. This is a legally registered private school, so there's no problem at all."

Clark tried to call his father, Jonathan Kent, but the call wouldn't go through. Undeterred, he drafted a text message with the school's address and a brief update on his situation. He trusted that his father would come for him soon.

"Since Magneto's target isn't you, Clark, you should go get some rest," Logan said, nodding to him. Even though they knew Clark was a powerful Kryptonian, they couldn't let an eight-year-old child get involved in their struggles.

"Okay, I'll go check on Rogue," Clark replied.

"She's in Ororo's class," Charles added. "She's fitting in very quickly."

Following Charles's directions, Clark soon found Ororo's classroom and saw Rogue through the window. He didn't feel the need to go inside. After a week of tutoring from Luthor, he had already grasped most of the scientific concepts being taught. He had only come to check on Rogue, and now he could see that she was doing well.

Inside the classroom, John playfully created a fireball with his powers, shaping it into various forms to catch Rogue's attention. Not to be outdone, Bobby quickly used his powers to freeze the fireball into a solid piece of ice, which shattered on the floor.

"Gentlemen, this is a class. Please focus on your studies," Ororo said.

"Our apologies, Ms. Ororo," John said, instantly acting contrite.

Watching from outside, a satisfied smile spread across Clark's face. He had a feeling why Rogue had been so down, and it had been his main worry. But now, seeing her surrounded by friends, he knew she had found a home here.

He and Logan might leave soon, but Rogue had already found her own place. Clark was different from the students here, not just because he was a Kryptonian, but because he had a loving family he would never abandon. Without a word, he turned and left, not wanting to disturb her.

Time flew by, and soon night fell. The X-Men had spent the entire day trying to figure out why Magneto wanted to capture Logan. The only logical guess they had was that Magneto wanted to study Logan's abilities for a chance at eternal life, but Charles immediately dismissed this.

He knew his friend better than that. Magneto wasn't someone who was afraid of death. He had his own sense of pride and would never stoop to such tactics, especially against another mutant. If he wanted Logan's help, he would simply ask him to join his cause.

Their investigation had reached a dead end. Since they couldn't predict Magneto's next move, all they could do was wait. As the night wore on, everyone went to their rooms to rest. Logan and Clark were assigned to the same room and were now fast asleep.

At the academy gates, Charles and Jean waited for someone. Soon, a customized car pulled up. Charles looked at the car with a complicated expression. He knew that the families who could so easily accept a child with extraordinary powers were often extraordinary themselves. It was their confidence and ability to protect Clark that allowed them to be so accepting.

"Are you Professor Charles?" Jonathan Kent stepped out of the car and immediately shook Charles's hand. "Thank you for saving my son."

Seeing Jonathan's genuine emotion, Charles felt a pang of sadness for the other children at the academy. Despite having no blood relation, Jonathan loved Clark as his own. Why couldn't more people in the world be like him?

"It's what we're here for," Charles replied, returning the handshake.

Clark had sent a message, and Jonathan quickly got in touch with Charles. The professor had already told him everything about the academy and the mutants. Jonathan, a billionaire with no ill will toward mutants, was a powerful ally for the entire community.

"Clark is resting now. I can go wake him if you'd like," Charles offered.

Jonathan shook his head as he followed Charles into the building. "No, let him rest. I'm sure he's been through a lot. How else would my boy suddenly have these powers?"

Charles respected his wishes and led him toward the dorms. But as they approached, they heard a man yell, "Help! Somebody, help me!"

Both Charles and Jean's faces paled. They looked at each other and immediately rushed toward the sound. Jean, however, was stunned to see Jonathan, an ordinary human, move even faster than she could.

"He's such an amazing father," Jean whispered to herself.
