Author's POV
The commentator's voice, slick with artificial excitement, echoed through the speakers. "...and now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Let's meet the drivers piloting this year's specially commissioned, enchanted vehicles! First, the fierce Vexxon raiders trio, Mira and Roxy!"
The screen outside cut to shots of their cars, gleaming under the track lights. The triplets watched, their attention only half there.
"And the last one," the commentator's voice swelled, "the woman who needs no introduction after her heroics last week! The driver who single-handedly mitigated disaster on this very track! Piloting the stunning silver vehicle… Eleanor Moore!"
In the VIP box, three things happened at once.
Keith, Kieran, and Kayden shot to their feet as if electrocuted.
