I trailed behind the duo reluctantly, intentionally dragging my feet on the floor. I wasn't really comfortable with the idea of meeting any pack member now and even though it was just the little kid's mum, I couldn't help but feel nervous.
I couldn't exactly tell Kaelith about it as he's so engrossed in his conversation with Sophia, so engrossed that I felt like a third wheel.
I could pick few words from what they were saying but the distance I had put in between us was not helping. I heard words like ' shy... chameleon and coat?
I don't know what it was they were talking about but their interaction was cute. And heartwarming. Two words I didn't think I'd ever use when referring to Alpha Kaelith but then, here we are.
