Chapter 5 - chapter five

They walked around looking for food. Val spotted a rabbit and lay down in the snow, pointing her gun.

"Shhh."

She took the shot, hitting it cleanly. Picking up the rabbit, she said,

"We don't have any vegetables."

She started a fire to cook the rabbit. Meanwhile, she noticed King off to the side, training by swinging his sword. Val walked over.

"Not bad, but…"

She suddenly tripped him, sending him flat on his back. August walked over, laughing.

"Ahaha! You got your ass handed to you by a girl."

Val smiled. "How about you give it a try?"

August grinned. "Okay, bring it on."

Moments later, his face was buried in the snow.

King looked up at Val with a smile. "Hey, teach me. Teach me how to fight with a sword."

Val smiled back. "Alright. Come at me."

King charged at her, but she blocked and parried every strike, never letting him land a hit. Each time he fell into the snow, he got right back up.

Val sighed. "Let's end it."

King grinned. "No—I'm not done yet."

They continued sparring, and just as he was about to finally land a strike—he suddenly teleported.

Before he could even process what happened, a stabbing pain shot through his head. Then he heard a voice inside his mind.

"It seems you people have gotten a little too comfortable. Hmm… I have an idea. How about a game of longevity.

The pain subsided, and he collapsed into the hot sand.

Val woke up on a sandy hill. August woke up on a beach. King got up, took off his shirt, and wrapped it around his head. He slapped his face lightly.

"I have to find them.

With a smile on his face, he started moving forward
