Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: The Great Kun Takes Human Form

It had been a month since Lind gifted Charlotte Linlin her poetic epigraph.

In that time, aside from training his subordinates, Lind had also completed all the poetic commissions requested by the upper ranks of the Rocks Pirates.

The gifts from the various officers were also extremely generous—ranging from all sorts of treasures to cultivation manuals. Lind's resources and foundation expanded several times over.

Today marked the final commission, which was for Stussy.

The gift she offered was exceptionally valuable: a Devil Fruit manual—comprehensive and detailed, with in-depth descriptions of the various Devil Fruits.

Many of the entries even included Stussy's annotations. As expected of someone with a scientific background, her work habits were impeccable.

Coincidentally, Lind had recently received several Devil Fruits and had been planning to consult Rocks. But now, that wouldn't be necessary.

As expected from someone from MADS, every Devil Fruit in Linde's possession was listed in the manual. He quickly found detailed entries on all of them.

He had three in total:

The first was a Paramecia-type Growth Fruit given by Charlotte Linlin, which assisted in the growth of plants.

Lind's luck had struck again—this fruit was highly compatible with his needs. Although he couldn't use it himself, it was perfect for cultivating a strong gardener.

The second was a Zoan-type: Dog-Dog Fruit, Rottweiler Model, a decent Zoan fruit gifted by John—suitable for training a solid mid-level officer.

The last one was Zoan-type: Human-Human Fruit, Singer Form, given by Shakky.

Upon seeing this fruit, the first thing that came to Lind's mind was a towering figure from his past life—and the giant Kun that had been following him for two months.

Perhaps… this was fate!

Maybe all the good fortune since he transmigrated—pulling legendary-tier rewards like candy, and gaining such immense strength—was all thanks to his big brother blessing his disciple across worlds.

"I must train the Kun well! My brother is watching from another world, and this Kun might just be his avatar!"

"With the power of my brother, the Kun's future will be bright—perhaps even Admiral-level someday!"

After rambling to himself for a while, Lind took the Singer Fruit and left the room, calling the Kun back using a Den Den Mushi.

Over the past two months, as Lind's most trusted companion, the Kun had been pampered with no reservations. Lind had given it all kinds of mysterious fruits.

Scattered over this time, the Kun had eaten quite a few Shenlong Coconuts. Its telekinetic abilities had grown significantly, it had learned many of Lind's techniques, and its intelligence had improved noticeably.

At the very least, it could now use telekinesis to operate a Den Den Mushi with no problem.

Using its mental abilities to accelerate travel, the Kun returned to Lind's villa in just ten minutes.

"Boss, I'm back! What's the surprise this time?"

The Kun excitedly spoke as soon as it arrived, expecting another delicious and magical fruit.

Lind's fruits were nothing like Devil Fruits—they tasted great, and who could say no to a fruit that tasted good and had special effects?

Seeing the eager look in Kun's eyes, Lind grinned and took out the Singer Fruit, looking forward to its reaction after eating it.

"This fruit is even more special than the others. You have to eat the whole thing to unlock its full effect—preferably in one bite."

Although the Kun was much smarter now, it was still an animal. It couldn't tell the difference between a Devil Fruit and the fruit Lind

had given before.

Trusting Lind completely, it opened its beak wide and swallowed the Devil Fruit whole without hesitation.

The moment it swallowed, the Kun's bird face began to twist and distort.

The horrible taste of Devil Fruits was something not even animals were immune to.

Seeing the expression on Kun's face, Lind, already experienced with this kind of reaction, burst out laughing and quickly handed it two Shenlong Coconuts to wash out the taste.

"Hahaha! Yep, that was a Devil Fruit. It tastes terrible, but it's a treasure of the sea! It'll grant you incredible powers!"

"Quick, check what abilities you've gained!"

"Boss, I think I got smarter… and I can transform too!"

As the Kun spoke, it descended to the ground and transformed into a humanoid form.

When Lind saw its transformation, he almost couldn't contain himself.

"It looks just like it! Too much like it!"

Lind stared at the human-shaped creature in front of him, so closely resembling a divine beast that had once gone viral across the entire internet in his past life.

The Kun was originally a black-and-white seagull—now in humanoid form, it had more charm than the yellow chick from his memories.

"Those goofy eyes… the iconic little beak… the stubby arms and legs… Just give it a middle part and suspenders, and it's perfect!"

Linde mumbled to himself as he stared, confusing the Kun.

"Kun, the fruit you ate is a Zoan-type: Human-Human Fruit, Singer Form. Do you feel any other abilities—like singing?"

"Caw! I do, boss! My head's now full of singing stuff! I'm gonna be the musician on our ship!"

"Hahaha, perfect! You can even try combining your singing with telekinesis—use your voice as a weapon! 'A single song breaks hearts—where in the world can you find a kindred spirit?'"

"Caw caw! I'll do whatever the boss says!"

Although Kun's intelligence had increased again, it was still quite young at heart—lacking maturity.

Lind decided to assign someone to educate it properly. Time to raise a cultured bird.

"Since you've eaten a Devil Fruit, there's nothing else for now. Just spend today getting used to your new powers. Stay at home and practice."

After a quick rundown on how to develop Devil Fruit abilities, Lind left the Kun to train on its own and headed out to check the training progress of his 7th Squad.

Since his squad was still in training, they hadn't yet been assigned territory. Everyone was currently stationed on Hive Island, so checking on them was easy.

Soon, Lind arrived at an open space in the southern part of Hive Island—his temporary base granted by Rocks.

At the center was a large plaza paved with neatly arranged stone tiles. Scattered training equipment dotted the area.

Surrounding it were tidy, beautiful wooden buildings—living quarters and training spaces for the squad members. All of this had been built by Lind using his telekinesis.

Thanks to this impressive ability, Lind had quickly won over most of the pirates. After all, as low-level pirates, their quality of life had never been good.

Especially on Hive Island—having such a "refined" living environment was unthinkable.

Every pirate was training with full enthusiasm, eager to prove their worth to their leader.

When Lind arrived and saw the pirates training diligently under the supervision of several officers, he felt a strong sense of satisfaction.

Over the past month, he had been so busy with the "commissions" that he had barely managed his crew's training. The fact that they had progressed this far thanks to his officers was very reassuring.
