Chapter 50 - Forbidden Ritual on The Beach

Two hours had passed. It was just after midnight. A new day had begun. Yet nothing had changed. Only the gentle ripple of seawater and faint spiritual signals drifting by like night mosquitoes—harmless.

"Boring," Al whispered, his voice carrying a faint note of irritation. He exhaled a long breath. "I can't keep using these eyes for too long. The side effects from that day with Eva are still bothering me."

He deactivated his magical vision. His sight gradually returned to its ordinary state, yet the lingering effects remained. Each time he pushed the ability too far, the world turned blurry, his eyeballs throbbed with a stabbing pulse as though dozens of fine needles were being driven into them without pause, and the headache refused to fade.
