Chapter 435 - Chapter 436: Chen Mo Niubi

[AN: Please kindly check out my other novel "The Quantum Path to Immortality" and leave a feedback, TO NOTE, it is very fast paced, and the mc is very much the most overpowered character i could write based on science.]

"Hey everyone, welcome to Xiao Man's livestream!"

With light makeup on, Xiao Man entered the broadcast room and greeted her audience. After graduating, Chen Mo had given her some startup funds. Using her connections, she formed a team and quietly launched a webcast company called Wild Fish Platform, named after herself and her sister, Xiao Yu.

The platform was still new. The Hero Holographic Super League was also in early prep stages, so promotion hadn't officially begun yet. They were waiting for the right moment.

Thanks to its association with the Marching Ant investment company, Wild Fish quickly gained traction. The company signed several well-known game streamers, internet celebrities, and two recently retired professional Hero players. The early results were promising.

Through targeted advertising, key influencer traffic, and the occasional celebrity guest stream, the platform quickly attracted tens of millions of users. Not massive, but definitely a strong start for a startup.

In her downtime, Xiao Man also streamed as a gaming host using a holographic projector—standard for all the platform's streamers. While she was more of a rising influencer than a top star, she occasionally played games live with well-known pros, and her follower count had already passed a few hundred thousand. What the public didn't know was that she was actually the boss behind Wild Fish.

Her makeup disguised her natural features, and the fans couldn't tell how much she resembled Xiao Yu. Some jokingly commented that she and Chen Mo's wife looked a bit alike.

"Tonight, we're skipping games. We're watching the Nobel Prize ceremony live," Xiao Man announced, pulling up the news feed on her computer and streaming it to her audience.

She had originally planned to attend the ceremony with Chen Mo, but with her sister pregnant, it wasn't convenient. Plus, since Xiao Man and Xiao Yu looked almost identical, it would've been awkward and easy to cause a media misunderstanding.

In the end, only Zhang Xinxin accompanied Chen Mo.

Otherwise, knowing Xiao Man's personality, she would've used the event to snap pics of the dinner spread and create hype online, gaining exposure and followers for the platform. She wouldn't have wasted such a golden PR opportunity.

Sadly, with her sister out, she stayed home.

"She's looking pretty tonight. Are you that interested in Chen Mo?"

"Do you think you look like Chen Mo's wife, so you want to marry him?"

"Aha! Caught you crushing on Chen Mo?"

"Admit it, and I'll send ten rocket gifts!"

The ceremony livestream started, and the chat exploded.

"You guys are overthinking it. Chen Mo is the first Chinese scientist to win a Nobel Prize—he's my idol, the person I admire most. How could I miss such an important moment?"

The Nobel Prize ceremony had officially begun. As always, it drew global attention, with media coverage broadcasting it live across major platforms.

In China, especially, the excitement was through the roof. This was the first time a local scientist had won a Nobel Prize—an enormous milestone. Chen Mo's name trended at the top of the hot search list.

Chen Mo stepped out of his car as others began to arrive—fellow awardees from various fields.

There were nine winners: Chen Mo for Physics, three for Chemistry, two for Medicine, two for Economics, and one for Literature. After a brief greeting, the group was led into Stockholm City Hall by the concierge.

The event timeline was precise to the minute.

When the winners arrived at the concert hall, the audience stood, eyes fixed on them—especially on Chen Mo.

The other laureates were mostly senior scholars in their seventies or eighties, with white hair and distinguished demeanors. Chen Mo, in contrast, was in his twenties, young and striking. And he had won the most prestigious award: the Nobel Prize in Physics.

"So young."

"Too young... and kind of handsome."

"That's Chen Mo from China? Damn."

Young female guests in the audience sparkled with curiosity. Chen Mo's name had already become legendary, but this was their first time seeing him in person.

Young, brilliant, wealthy, and successful—an irresistible combination. If this hadn't been such a formal event, many wouldn't have hesitated to strike up a conversation.

Some were already looking forward to the dinner afterward.

He's out.

Across China, even as midnight struck, dormitory rooms in universities were filled with students glued to their screens. Cheers erupted as Chen Mo walked into the venue.

The first Chinese scientist to win a Nobel Prize in Physics. An achievement of incredible national significance. It filled the country with pride.

For decades, China had weathered storms and hardship. This award—though just one—was proof of China's rising presence in the scientific world.

When the chairman of the Nobel Foundation introduced the history and significance of the awards, Professor Epps of the Royal Academy of Sciences, responsible for the Physics prize, took the stage.

"Respected Queen, Your Majesty, members of the Royal Family, Nobel laureates, ladies and gentlemen. I am honored to introduce this year's Physics Prize winner and his achievements.

"From ancient times, humans have used tools—animal skins, fire, stone, and iron—to survive nature's harshness. Water projects allowed us to tame floods; weather satellites help us anticipate hurricanes...

"From Newton's laws to Einstein's relativity, to quantum mechanics—the history of human civilization is the history of physics. It is through understanding physical laws that we've conquered layer upon layer of natural disaster."

He transitioned into discussing Chen Mo's contributions.

"Yet nature remains full of threats—earthquakes and tsunamis remind us of our vulnerability. This year's Nobel laureate, with his geomagnetic anomaly detection theory, developed a working seismograph capable of predicting earthquakes in advance.

"This breakthrough offers a new theoretical foundation in geophysics and seismology. It has already saved countless lives and properties. A remarkable advancement in the natural sciences, and a milestone in humanity's battle to understand nature."

The entire hall listened intently. All eyes were on Chen Mo.

While he remained calm, some of the elderly scholars beside him had already dozed off during the long speeches and classical music.

The introduction ended.

"Professor Chen Mo," Epps said, turning to him.

Chen Mo rose to his feet.

"For your outstanding contributions in the field of geomagnetic anomalies and microspace physics, we hereby award you this year's Nobel Prize in Physics. On behalf of the Royal Academy of Sciences, it is my great honor to invite you forward—to receive your medal from His Majesty, the King."

As Chen Mo accepted the medal from the King of Sweden, the entire nation erupted.

"Chen Mo is a god!"

"He's made history!"

"No regrets. Who dares call China backward now? Chen Mo is our pride."

"Chen Mo is too badass."

"Chen Mo NB!"

Dorms across China exploded with excitement.

"Baby, that's your father," Xiao Yu said softly from the villa, gently stroking her pregnant belly, pride beaming from her voice.

Beside her, Chen's father, Zhen Zhen, and others all smiled with joy.

Elsewhere, Zhao Min lounged on a sofa in a nightdress, sipping red wine. She watched the ceremony on-screen, her expression filled with pride.

"At this moment," she murmured, "all of China is proud of you."
