Chapter 98 - Return home

Mom insisted on the abortion, and Dad agreed with her decision. Her surgery was scheduled, and she went through with it. Mom was also diagnosed with other minor illnesses, and after making a full recovery, we returned home.

"Are you really leaving? Won't you spend more time with Mom?" She asked as I packed up and headed to my car.

"I can't," I smiled. "School resumes on Monday, and I need to prepare for it," I replied.

"When will I see you again?"

"I don't know, but I'll try my best to visit."

"Goodbye, little one." Dad hugged and kissed me on the cheek. Mom rolled her eyes. She still hasn't forgiven him, although I'm convinced she knows the truth; she knows Dad didn't lie about the incident, but she still feels bitter about things—bitter that Dad was deceived by his friend, bitter that another woman had her mate and husband.
