Pascal leaned forward, eyes locked on his cousin like he'd just confessed to seeing the boogeyman.
"Are you trying to tell me that the same timid, jumpy kitten named Carmelita did that to you?"
Julio's jaw clenched as he bit out his words.
"Don't look at me like I've lost it. She did it, Pascal. The bitch almost crushed my balls and spine. And guess what... she didn't even break a sweat."
Pascal scoffed and shoved his coffee mug aside, his expression twisted with disbelief, irritation, and something darker simmering beneath.
"Impossible! The Carmelita I know can't even squash a bug, let alone defend herself. She is weak and very fragile. She is a porcelain doll who cracks under the slightest pressure. Have you forgotten how Philip moulded her into a completely submissive and brainless wife?"
